Combat training

Ayato stood in a dark hallway, looking as unconcerned as one could get.

His revealed chest and back were covered in scales and his hands were shoved in his combat pants, made from chainmail between the layers.

His very comfortable eye band still in place, he hummed as he waited for what was about to come.

"... Any second now."

He felt the air turn cold as ice crept closer, spreading on the walls, the floor, and the ceiling.

He didn't even flinch as it spread up his body and stopped at his neck, seemingly immobilizing him.

He didn't have to wait long to hear footsteps down the hall.

When a Lolipop wannabe came into the view, he wanted to cringe at the sheer emo rolling off of him.

"... You hold considerable power, but it's useless if you can't move, I suggest you remain still if you don't want the skin on your feet to peel off."

Ayato remained still for a second, wondering if this was all he could do, and was ultimately disappointed when the boy dressed in white with half of his body covered in artificial ice started walking past him.

"You know, Todoroki, this isn't pokemon, I'm not weak to ice."

The air lashed out at the ice around him, breaking it into pieces, and freeing him in the process.

With just a thought, his tale but out from his back, slapping the son of Endeavor to the wall, knocking the air out of him.

He already knew his weakness, after all, he has been sensing things for a while now, and it was quite easy to notice it.

He took a breath every time before creating ice, just taking the air away will make him powerless.

And all that will be left is cutting off a way to take in more oxygen.

Circling his newly created tail around the arrogant brat's neck, he squeezed.

Without any further ado, he grabbed the struggling teen's wrist and put the capture tape around it.

[One of the hero team members has been captured!]

All mights booming voice came from the small communication device in his ear and he suppressed a wince.

God, he was loud.

"You have an impressive Quirk, too bad you were overconfident."

Dropping him to the ground, he focused his attention on his other opponent, who was outside of the building.

They were working in pairs, split into two teams: the Heroes and the villains, his teammate was someone he dubbed a "Blonde haired karate kid" he had a tail too but was very unoriginal with it.

Well, it was time to get this charade over with, he had a loving girlfriend waiting for him back home.

"One of the targets neutralized, do you have a visual on the other?"

He spoke in his earpiece, strolling down the hall to the exit.

[He just entered the building, do you want me to ambush him from the back?]

He hummed in thought, would that be better? Teamwork... Hmmm.

"Go ahead, I'll cut him off."

"..."

Ayato opened the door to his apartment, he was tired, mentally.

The sheer stupidity displayed in the matches made him want to scream, bang his head against a wall, jump off a cliff, and commit genocide at the same time.

Who just lifts a nuclear bomb to move it to the other side of the room?

Who explodes a building with the same bomb inside?

Who electrocutes a room with a bomb inside?

Who melts the floor right underneath a nuclear bomb?

Who. The. Fuck. Shoots. lasers. In the same room as a fucking nuclear bomb?!

Taking off his shoes, he threw his backpack into a corner and took off his shirt, throwing it into the laundry basket, using his quirk to take a regular white shirt out of his cabinet.

Walking into the living room where Rin was currently studying, he floated her into the air getting a slight yelp from the girl as he levitated her into his lap gently.

"What was that for?"

She asked quietly as she leaned into the hug he enveloped her in. In response, Ayato just hummed, squeezing a little tighter.

"... Were doomed."

He felt Rin turn to get a better look at him, raising a delicate eyebrow, waiting for him to elaborate.

"My classmates are stupid, the combat training would have been a disaster if it was a real situation and I find myself wondering how they passed the written portion of the exam."

She hummed in response, much like him, and just leaned all of her weight on him.

"... This is the hoodie that "Disappeared" four days ago, isn't it?"

She didn't dignify that with an answer and started moving her fingers through his hair and around his horns.

Releasing a pleasing growl, he slipped his hands inside their hoodie and felt her stomach.

"You're not wearing anything underneath this."

It wasn't a question and she knew that, that's why she bonked him on the head.

"You perv."

Sliding her hand down to his jaw, Rin tilted his head up, connecting their lips.

Ah... This was nice.

Finally breaking off for air, she turned around in his lap, straddling him and throwing her hands around his neck, hugging him.

Ayato hugged back, enjoying every second of it as he did and all of his frustration seemingly washed away.

"... You know, there is a way for me to move into the hero course, I don't mind spending a year or two of being a hero..."

Ayato knew what this was about.

"You don't need to worry about me destroying the whole building in frustration-"

She sighed, rubbing her head against his.

"That's a relief."

But he wasn't finished yet.

"- You're there, after all."

Now, the sigh that sigh was clearly of exasperation. He wasn't lying either, he was in that school mainly to look after her, the job was a secondary objective, there were a lot of ways to get money, there were only a few ways to protect Rin.

She may be strong, stronger than any of his classmates, but there were a lot of people out there, anything could happen, someone having a bullshit quirk like his classmate, Momo Yayorozu.

She could create anything, he didn't rule out the possibility of a poison gas bomb he may or may not have to naturalize.

Well, that was enough of that, he wanted more kisses.
