22 A Day Left

Ayato was lying on the couch. Akane snuggling on his chest as he sensed out the surrounding with his quirk. Everything was quiet, as it should be, this was the town nearest to the UA high, if it wasn't safe then the school would loose some of it's credibility.

He was waiting for Rin to come back from school. No matter what he did, he couldn't get the image of her state from yesterday out of his mind.

What could have happened? Who was responsible and why the hell were the teachers doing nothing?

Okay, the third one was a dumb question, the teachers never did anything. They only made it worse.

He lay there for what seemed like hours, waiting for her familiar figure to enter his range...

What was taking so lo- oh, there she was.

Focusing in on the faint outline, he confirmed that it was, indeed, Rin. Yes... He knew her figure by heart. That included her three sizes. Why else would he train in sensing so intensively?

… She must never know!

Sitting up while making sure to not wake up Akane, he raised a hand towards the kitchen. A second later, a spoon and a box of chocolate ice cream traveled lazily through the air, finally stacking on his hand on top of one another.

Opening it up, he started taking small bites from the cup shaped box as he faced towards the entrance to the apartment. It only took a few minutes for her to reach the apartment, approximately twenty minutes... but who was counting? Not him.

She seem to take a deep breath before entering the house, not suspecting that he would be monitoring the surrounding area 24/7. Well, he was... Maybe he was too paranoid, but that wasn't important.

He waited, until she came into the living room and looked at him. All he did was nonchalantly take another bite from the ice-cream bowl and raised an eyebrow.

"So... Why are you feeling so down?"

She visibly flinched, looking down slightly as she avoided eye contact. In all honestly, she didn't have to, they couldn't make eye contact even if they tried.

Sighing, she walked over to the couch as shadows stretched from the various spots from the room as they reached for the ice-cream bowl and took it out of his hands. He let them, letting go of the ice-cream as he waited patiently for an answer.

"Sometimes, I hate how preceptive you are."

She mumbled as she plopped down on his lap. Akane, waking up from all the commotion, jumped from his chest before Rin sat down and walked off to do his thing. Ayato reached forward, circling his hands around her waist, placing his head on her shoulder.

She leaned into the embrace, releasing a sigh as her body relaxed. With a wave of her hand, shadows formed into a spoon and a second later, ice-cream was munched on. Smirking slightly, he undid the bindings of his blindfold with his quirk and floated it to the table in front of them.

His eyes bore into her as he waited... and waited... and waited...

"You don't want to talk about it, do you?"

She hummed and turned her head away. not even acknowledging the question, least of all dignifying it with an answer. Pursing his lips, Ayato just hugged her tighter. She was a big girl, if any help was needed she would ask him and he would pull some strings. Those strings being some threats he could make without being identified.

Because really. Can one know who it was without evidence? Yes. Could they blame that "someone"? Nope.

Reaching up, he grasped her chin. Turning her head, he covered her lips with his own. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. Soon enough, she closed her eyes and returned the kiss.

Backing off after a few seconds, she pouted at him.

"That's not gonna work forever, you know?"

It was positively adorable but he kept that to himself. Smirking, he quirked an eyebrow, looking way too smug for his own good.

"Is it working?"

She stared at him with a blank expression before pursing her lips.

"It cheered me up-"

She leaned in closer, her eyes peering into his own as they got dangerously close.

"-I can handle it. But I need more cheering up."

He hummed. Her argument was very convincing.

Ayato was, again, lying on the couch. However, this time, instead of an annoying little bugger that liked to meow around like he owned the place. Rin was using him like a bed, and he was enjoying it as well.

His fingers laced through her hair. Her crimson locks as smooth as ever as his hands rand through them as freely as fish in water. Rin nuzzled into his chest, letting out a small hum as she did so. His chest rumbled as he chuckled slightly, as to not wake her from her slumber.

Ah, this was the life...

He was marrying this girl in the future. he didn't care who opposed unless it was her. If she left him, he figured that it wouldn't take too long until he went full dragon and started hanging out in the forests to distance himself from all the stupidity from this "Hero" Spiel. Seriously, this world was so stupid that he wanted to bang his head against a wall.

Who would scream out the name of an attack while they swung around like modern day Tarzan?

Kamui woods apparently.

He could immobilize the gigantification quirk user the minute he arrived on the scene, but no, he had to show off his "Sick" and "Totally awesome" moves. All he did was swing around like a lunatic.

Then there was that giant lady. He didn't even want to think about her.

Maybe he should retire early... maybe starting tomorrow.
