Back to Normal Living?

After a full week of learning about quirks and what we know about quirks at the moment, Erika felt enlightened. This system was different than how magic worked in her original world and all the worlds she had visited, and it intrigued her.

Quirk and Magic had a connection from all the information she'd gathered through observation and the lessons her mother had taught her over the week.

For starters, she had already seen mana in the presence of people that had quirks. This means there is a large chance that she may also develop a quirk with the amount of mana she had slowly cultivated. There was a huge but in that manner, and it's because her mana was much more generalized and pure than what she'd seen in other people. She'd seen other people's mana also have a distinct signature to represent the uniqueness of their quirk, while she had a little bit of everything.

While that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, it just doesn't prove anything. If she were in her old life, then she would be booming by the time she reached the age appropriate to start training her mana, but the magic isn't the same here as proven to her in her mother's lessons.

Maybe she shouldn't worry so much. Her mother had told her that quirks aren't hereditary and would usually develop them sooner or later depending on the quirk they have. Some kids were born with their quirks while others take time to develop them. Most of the time quirks develop when they reach 4 years of age.

'There's no point worrying over it if I can't even run properly without falling. I'll continue what I've been doing with my mana and see if I can do anything about this quirk.'

With her mind set, she continued on the following days spent with her loving and surprisingly strong mother.

She hadn't been paying attention back then but her mother was extremely strong even when she did household chores. She can easily lift the couches and all the other furniture whenever she vacuums, even rearranging them at times when she feels like it.

She also took note of how skillful her mother is when a technical house problem arises. She would watch something on a rectangular little thing that Erika had now identified as a cellphone, then fix it flawlessly. Again with these new little things she'd noticed, Erika was amazed by her mother.

If she turned out to be quirkless, maybe she'll follow in her mother's footsteps.

"Erika!"

Hearing her name be called, the little girl stood to her feet and followed her mother's voice to the living room. "Ma!" She called back, a happy smile on her face to see her mother had finished cleaning.

"Hey! I was planning on watching some TV. Wanna join Mama?" The woman kissed her daughter's cheeks as a greeting then picked her up to lay her on the couch.

Erika simply nodded, knowing that her mother would watch cartoons instead of something she would prefer to watch just to keep her entertained. Again she couldn't help but think of how awesome and loving her mother was!

A plane had just arrived from Japan at the Philippines Airport. People flooded the hallways of the arrival location as they waited for their relatives or friends to officially welcome them back to the country.

A man in a deep blue suit stood out amongst the crowd, especially when the color of his eyes was the same as the color of his coat. It was a sight that many Filipinos were curious to see that immediately started an echo of whispers throughout the crowd.

He walked slowly and tentatively, his blue eyes only set on one thing.

"What a handsome man..."

"Are they filming a movie?"

These were the things he heard as he walked through the crowd, easily towering over most of the people with his height. He didn't give them any attention, however, as he fished out his phone from his pocket and called someone.

It dialed once before the guy on the other side picked up.

"Boss! How was your flight?"

He nodded at a few men in uniform who began escorting him as he exited the building. Another guy appeared and started leading him to the parking lot. "I'm on my way to the car."

The guy laughed, "Alright, don't tell me. I'll be waiting for you at the family house."

"Prepare me a bottle of gin. I need a good drink after listening to someone's child cry for hours on the flight."

He ended the call before the guy on the other side could reply. Today has been hectic for him, the flight has been delayed two times before he boarded. While boarding, there had been a villain attack outside the airport that he had to take care of. When he thought that he could finally relax in his seat, somehow someone brought a child into the VIP section of the plane and started crying halfway through the trip.

It was hectic. He was tired. All he wanted to do was lay in bed and sleep the whole day away. Alas, the business had to come first, he didn't come all this way to visit, he didn't have the time.

He relaxed in the backseat of the sleek-looking car that his subordinates had helped him into. "Take me to the family home."

"Welcome back, boss."

"Happy to be back..."
