31 Life!

Sekizan was in front of a hospital bed at the moment. His father was laying in it, strapped on machines who were responsible for keeping him alive.

Sekizan was still heavily bandaged, blood could be seen seeping through his gauzes, he had come to the hospital directly from the school. His father was admitted with multiple punctured types of wounds. He was with a sliver of life when he arrived in the ICU, now he was in a coma ever since his admission.

Apparently he had an encounter with the Hero Killer while on a patrolling run. The villain was in the middle of one of his hunts so he engaged in battle and ended up losing. The villain ended up harming two heros in the end.

' How did he managed to do this to you dad?' Sekizan thought. He and Ryuji were in the same path, the martial path. Ryuji was an expert in battle, how can a rat like that do this to him. It's was known that in the persuit or martial excellence you had to put your life on the line, you had to come to terms with your mortality.

However, seeing his loved one in a hospital bed, strapped in machines to help him stay alive still made him see the reality of the human experience.

On his eyes two wet streaks divided his face. This was the one time in his life he lost control of his emotions and cried so openly. He was silent as the streams fell off his face landing on the hospital bed.

' Don't worry Dad. I will make that rat pay for leaving you like this.' Sekizan said as he touched Ryuji leg softly, and turned to leave the room.

As he turned his eyes turn cold, his tears stopped flowing, boundless bloodlust radiated from him. Someone in the room should be able to easily see his thoughts, the killing intent was evident on his face.

' Mark your grave hero killer, a rat like you is living on borrowed time.' Sekizan thought. He had to be present now to support his mother in this important time, he could not abandon her to seek revenge.

It was his responsibility as a man to be the pillar that supported his family now that his father was compromised. He could not fall prey by his desires for revenge, he had to compose himself now.

His mother was currently asleep in the hospital corridor. You could see that she was almost broken, wet marks on her sleeping face. He picked her up and carried her on his back, even if he was currently with second and third degree burns on his skin he did not falter in his steps.

After he put his mother on the bed of his house, who was not far from the hospital, he rushed to the school to heal. He could not add more worries to his mother by looking like the victim of a fire.

As he received help fry the recovery lady he did not focused much on this bout of healing. He healed his skin, and used the rest of the energy to make his eyesbrows grow.

His hair could be stimulated by himself to grow back later, but his eyebrows had to come back fast to maintain his appearance to not worry his mother.

After he came back to his house his mother was awake, she was currently seated in the living room staring at the void.

Sekizan saw her and started the conversation.

"You should not worry to much, pop's is tough as nails, he will survive this ordeal. This is just a flesh wound for him." He tried to lift the spirit of his mother.

"..." Susan just stared at him blankly. She saw the state her husband was, she knew the risks of being a hero, but seeing with her own eyes…

Sekizan watched as his mother eyes watered, he knew that she was currently unstable but he did not know how to manage this type of behavior.

" Mother! Get a hold of yourself. He will be ok, with my technique and the recovery lady, he should be able to get back at 100%." Sekizan decided to just not mince his words, he did not know how to comfort people, but he hoped that his mother could feel his intentions.

He did not lie, his father knew the concept of Seimei Kikan, he shared all of his methods with him. The problem is that it was hard for him to master the art at the same speed that he learned. His senses were magnitudes more sensitive than his. He hoped that Ryuji could surpass his limits and master independent of this fact.

Susan looked at her son. She knew that he was not good at the display such emotions, but he was still here to support her, she could feel the sadness his son was feeling as well, but he was suppressing all of this to be strong to support her.

*Pak!*

She suddenly slapped her face with her hands. She had to be strong for him as well, she was the grown up, she had to support him as well.

Sekizan saw his mother slap herself, he could have stopped her, but he knew that she needed the courage. He hoped that she could find strength in responsibility.

Susan hugged her son and continued to sit in the living room, they prayed for Ryuji to get better soon.

___(interlude)___

A new day began in the city of Musutafu, the Sun layed his brilliance on the world. Sekizan was walking to school currently, people were staring and pointing at him. None though, approached him to talk to him, his image currently was scary to most people.

Even after healing his skin you could still see scar tissue on his face. His hair was just starting to grow, and his expression was not friendly.

(An: the image in my head is the face of that space marine from the Warhammer 40k series, he healed his skin but it was not perfect.) Image in the comments.

(An2: his hair is similar to the hair of Sakuragi Hanamichi from slam dunk.)image in the comments.

He was in a bad mood, and the people treating him like an animal in a zoo did not make his day better.

Arriving at the school he listened to the conversation of the people, it seems that it was not only him who was harassed by strangers on the street.

" What's up mate!" A animated voice sounded, calling for him.

" Yo." He said. Kirishima was a bundle of energy as aways.

" I heard that the heroes agencies already sent the recruitment letters, I hope that I got some of them." Kirishima hoped.

"Hm. Surely you will receive some." He said easily. Based on his performance he was surely to attract attention of the agencies.

The conversation did not continued as Aizawa arrived, demanding attention.

" Now folks, it is time to select your hero names, it's important to have an alias in the hero duty, in your career, it's your alias that will be recognized by the public. If you please open your desks you can see the letters of recruitments you've received." Aizawa began, directing the students.

In turn the students opened theirs desks. Some of them had a scene as the letters fell from overcrowding the desk, so much were their quantity.

Sekizan opened his and saw the large quantities, he closed again. He did not have the mood to deal with all of this right now.

" To assist you in the selection of your hero names the heroine Midnight will now take the lead on the class."

Midnight entered the room, all the people were excited to select their future names.

(An: ahh I read a bunch of criticism of the last chapter. Some of them even outright insult me because my choice of the result of the battle. To them I can only say, f*ck off mate, Jesus, why all the hate huh, some even insulted my family, absurd.

I am here writing 1 sometimes 2 chapters a day, for free and some cunts are insulting me in such unreasonable ways, I accept criticism as some of you gave, I responded with decorum and even implemented ideas where I saw that I could improve.

But of you will just write insults without content, jeez go do something productive.

On another note, what you guys suggest his hero name would be, I'm thinking of 'the Ogre' but I'm open to better names.

Leave stones and constructive criticism.

F*ck off if you are reading just to try and degrade me and all my visions of life, this is a free fic, you can choose to not read, Jesus.)
