9 Chapter 9

Midoriya and Uraraka ran into the building as they reached the fourth floor. Midoriya turned to Uraraka and told her his thoughts.

" Bakugou will come straight for us. We can't split up to go attack Axel at this moment. " Midoriya said while whispering.

" Why though? " Uraraka asked.

" Axel's quirk is Barrier. He can block us from touching the bomb and just have to stall us until the time runs out if we can't destroy it.

To get rid of it, we need to distract him from using his quirk, but our chances are low since he could use his quirk while talking to people.

We need to lure Bakugou to break the barriers or act as a distraction." Midoriya said.

" That makes sense, but what about you Deku. Couldn't you break the barriers? " Uraraka asked.

" Possibly but I have to sacrifice my body to do so and can only do it once. I just don't know how strong Axel's barriers are so if Bakugou can break them, then i dont need to use my quirk." Midoriya said.

" Bakugou will come for me so I'll lure him to the fifth floor. You go on ahead to the room and distract Axel. "

" Okay. " Uraraka said agreeing to his plan.

Running through the halls, Midoriya suddenly stopped as pulled Uraraka to the side as Bakugou used his explosion quirk.

" There you are you damn Deku. " Bakugou yelled.

" Sneak attack huh. " Kirishima said as he watched the fight. He would have said that wasn't manly but after sparring with Axel a lot, he knew that honor doesn't exist in battles.

" Most battles are not fair fights, so you should not expect them to be. Bakugou is acting in the role of the villain well. " All Might said.

Uraraka quickly ran away from the fight as she ran to the top and entered the fifth floor.

She stopped as she looked around in shock. The entire room was covered in a yellow glow indicating Axel's barriers. She felt sweat form on her face. Midoriya was expecting barriers only around the bomb, not the entire room!

She looked at Axel who was just watching videos on his phone. She looked around to touch something for her quirk to work.

However, nothing worked as they were protected by Axel's barriers which didn't budge.

She then tried to leave the place but couldn't as she ran into Axel's barrier. She looked on with despair creeping in. She didn't know what to do.

" Deku, we have a problem. Axel has me trapped in the room with him and has covered the entire room in his barriers. " She said.

Midoriya heard what she said and his eyes widened.

" Can you distract him? " He asked.

" Nope. All the objects in the room are covers in his barriers. " Uraraka said.

Modoriya's eyes widened. He knew Axel had great control over this quirk but he didn't expect this. Uraraka was effectively useless at this point.

He grits his teeth as he looked at Bakugou. Even if he went to the fifth floor with Bakugou following what were the chances of the barrier-breaking.

He looked at Bakugou who was taunting him but he honestly couldn't care. Taking a deep breath he made his decision.

NIGURENDYO

" You damn nerd! Get back here. " Bakugou yelled as he chased after Midoriya.

Midoriya dodged Bakugou as he ran for his life up to the fifth floor. He was the door that was blocked with a yellow rectangle.

Gritting his teeth, Midoriya ran and stood in front of the barrier as Bakugou came up from behind him.

As Bakugou got ready to blast him, Midoriya dodged the blast as it hit the barrier. Midoriya's eyes widened in glee as the barrier shattered din to pieces. Uraraka had the same expression.

" Bakugou broke the barrier! " Sato yelled.

" Midoriya must have planned to use Bakugou to break the barriers. Maybe the heroes can win. " Denki said.

Others agreed with him but others did not. The reason? Axel wasn't even phased. He just continued to watch the drama after putting away his phone.

All Might noticed and felt as if Midoriya was falling into a trap. Mina and Kirishima just stayed silent.

Midoriya rushed into the room after pushing Bakugou in with him and rolled away from Bakugou.

" Deku. " Uraraka said.

" Uraraka. Get him to attack the barriers around the bomb. " Deku said.

" You can't run anymore, Deku. " Bakugou said as he held up his arm towards Midoriya and Uraraka.

" You know how my quirk works so what do you think happens if I pull the pin on my gauntlet filled with nitroglycerin? " Bakugou said as he pulled the pin.

" Bakugou No, they might die! " All Might yelled.

" Not if they dodge. " Bakugou said.

The blast went straight towards Deku and Uraraka who stared at the blast. The blast connected as a large explosion happened.

Smoke covered the cameras as everyone waited for the results. They widened their eyes in relief as they saw Midoriya and Uraraka inside a barrier, perfectly alight.

They looked towards Bakugou who was on the ground unable to move from the barrier on top of him.

" Seriously what's up with you? Anyway, All Might I captured the heroes. The villain team wins right? " Axel asked as he looked at the camera.

All Might stared at the barriers that held Midoriya and Uraraka. That blast from Bakugou was much stronger than the one he used to break the barrier before.

' Was it part of his plan? No matter I think it's better if we stop. '

" Villain team wins. " All Might said over the loudspeaker.

Axel nodded his head as he released his barriers and walked out of the room.

Midoriya had a downcast expression as he couldn't defeat Bakugou in the exercise while Uraraka was blaming herself for being able to do nothing while Midoriya did all the work.

Bakugou felt enraged. He wanted to defeat Deku and gravity girl by himself. He told that extra to not interfere, yet he did.

They soon followed as they left the place to go to the others.
