3 Chapter 3

The train sped on the tracks towards the destination of UA. Axel stood in the train car as he listened to music from his phone while Kirishima and Mina talked to each other about what's going to happen at the exam.

" Train has arrived at the next station. "

Axel put away his phone and headphones as he walked off the train with MIna and Kirishima. The three of them walked to UA while having various levels of nervousness and excitement. However, for both Kirishima and Mina, they both were dreading the written test as both of them hated written tests.

" Hello. Please state your names and show me your id cards. " said a guy in a black suit.

There were multiple people with black suits all over the campus as they asked for the names and ID cards of the students. The trio gave their names and ID cards as the man examined them before giving them back.

" You are clear. This will allow you to enter the exam room for the written test. "

He then walked away to another student who came inside.

" They are really serious about security here. " Kirishima said.

" Hey, do you think when they are alone, they let loose and just party relieve stress? " Mina asked excitedly.

" Probably not. They might just watch tv shows or go straight to sleep. Maybe even go drink. " Axel said.

" Axel's idea seems more plausible," Kirishima said.

" Yeah, but it would so cool to see them party, " Mina said.

The written exam wasn't that hard for Axel as he studied while tutoring Kirishima and Mina making him learn the concepts inside and out. Kirishima and Mina looked at the questions with varying levels of faces. From the ' i know this!' face to ' what is this?! ' face.

Once the written exam was completed, the examinees got a 10-minute break before they had to go to the auditorium for an explanation for the practical exam. All three of them sat together as they waited for the explanation.

They watched as a man with yellow hair walk in. It was the pro hero Present Mic.

" Hey everyone. It's now time for the practical exams. Can I get ' yeah '? " Mic asked as held his ear out for anyone to say it.

Mina tried to say yeah, but Kirishima blocked her mouth so she didn't speak. Everyone else stayed silent.

" Tough crowd. But you are teenagers, make sense that all of you would act like edge lords. " Mic said.

Everyone in the audience gained tick marks while others laughed at their reactions.

" With that said, it's time for you to learn the rules for the next exam. The next exam will be held in multiple exam sites here at UA which you will take my bus. Your ID cards should now display the exam site you will be located in.

The exam is quite simple. You have to defeat the robots that will act like villains located in the area. The area will be a replica of a city. Each robot has a different level ranging from level one to level three. This also explains their difficulty. Every time you defeat a robot, you will get a point. Level one robots give you one point, level 2 gives you 2 points and level three gives you 3 points. Any questions so far? "

Axel ignored everyone as he analyzed everything that Mic said.

' He said ' defeat' not ' destroy '. Makes sense. Some quirks aren't that destructive so they would give points to people who could immobilize the robots. However, there should be more. Maybe there is a switch that could shut off the robots. ' Axel thought.

He was brought out of his thoughts when Mic spoke again.

" Whoa, calm down examinees. As for your question, the level 4 robot that you see on screen is worth zero points. It's not worth the effort so I recommend that you run away. " Mic said.

Mic finished his explanation as all the participants got up and made their way to the changing rooms. They wore tracksuits or comfortable clothes for the exam. Axel boarded the bus to exam center D.

As he sat down on a seat, he scanned everyone on the bus. There was a mix of nervous, excited, and calm students on the bus. He stayed silent as he placed his headphones on and waited for the bus to stop.

The bus soon stopped in front of a large door. All the participants got off the bus as Axel looked at the door. Putting away his phone he waited for the doors to open.

The doors soon opened as Axel wasted no time. He quickly created a rectangle-shaped barrier and stepped onto it. He then rocketed forward leaving all the other participants behind.

" Hey, that's cheating!" Someone yelled.

" Yeah, it is. "

" Fool. He's going to get disqualified. "

" What the hell are you waiting for?! The test started. Go! " Mic yelled.

Everyone was shocked as they rushed past the doors to find robots.

Axel was riding on his barrier which was acting as a hoverboard. Using his barriers to reflect light, he could see past corners and found a group of robots. 2 Level 1's and a level 2. The robots noticed him and attacked him. Axel quickly created a barrier above them and slammed them onto the robots. They were crushed and stopped moving.

Axel went near them and looked at them.

' So they do have an off switch or button in this case. Interesting. The instruction manual wasn't lying. ' Axel thought.

He got back on his barrier and went to the highest spot he could find. From there he used his barriers to find locations of multiple robots.

'Senbonzakura. '

Axel created multiple tiny diamond barriers and launched them in the direction of the robots. The other applicants looked in shock at the yellow petals that flew toward the robots and made them unable to move. The barriers had hit their mark as they were aimed and directed by Axel to hit the buttons.

After each one had hit its mark, Axel counted the number of robots he had hit. he counted a total of 40 robots from the attack and stopped.

" That was a good test run. Now let's move on to the other part of this exam" He muttered.

Using his network of eyes in the sky, he looked at the applicants who let their guards down as they watched his attack. Robots had tried jumping them and debris was going to fall on them. He quickly used his quirk to create barriers to protect the students. He remove the barriers when they retaliated.

' This is a hero school. Defeating villains is not the only thing to being a hero. They would award points to people who do heroic things as well. ' Axel thought as he remembered the rules and the context of the exam.

" This group is pretty good. " Midnight said as she watched the students.

" Indeed. Some of them use speed to get to their targets. Others use quirks that are designed for combat. " Nezu said before stopping as he watched Axel use Senbonzakura. He quickly put him up on the main screen.

" Oi Nezu. why did you put this kid on screen? " Aizawa asked.

" Just watch. I have a feeling. " Nezu said.

They then watched as Axel destroy multiple robots at once as those small petals fly straight to the robots and stopped them from moving. Next, they watched as he helped multiple students by creating barriers to protect students.

Aizawa was the first to speak up as he snapped out of his trance.

" Nezu I want that kid in my class. "
