" What? " Shinso asked in total shock. He didn't expect this.

" So your answer? " Axel asked.

" Sure. " Shinso said. He was alright with this. Looking around, he saw many students making teams and were focused only on Midoriya.

Even Todoroki and Bakugou were focused on Midoriya, though they would be careful of Axel.

" What's your quirk? " Shinso asked.

" Barriers. " Axel said as Shinso hummed.

" You already noticed how everyone is focused on Midoriya right? " Axel said.

" Yep. Which means the audience will focus on him. We can use that. " Shinso said.

" Pretty much. You can ride on my shoulders to grab headbands. I'll use my quirk for the entire round, so you don't have to use yours." Axel said.

" Alright. " Shinso said.

Shinso went and received the headband and wrapped it around his head. He then got on Axel's shoulders. The other riders got ready as well.

" 3, 2, 1, Start. " Midnight yelled.

Everyone immediately went straight towards Modoriya's team to get their headband. The audience immediately focused on Midoroya and was excited they saw many teams rush towards Midoriyas team.

Axel watched them go and used his quirk. He created barriers around him and Shinso. The barriers reflected the light, effectively making them invisible.

" We are invisible to others now. " Axel said.

" Really? That's cool. So who should we target first? " Shinso asked.

" Doesn't matter. Just get as much as you can. " Axel said as he started walking.

" Alright. Then start with them. " Shinso said pointing at a team.

Axel and Shinso walked up to the team. Shinso stretched his arm out Axel made a small hole in his barriers.

Shinso took the headband and pulled it towards him as Axel remade the barrier, allowing them to hide.

" Our headband is gone! " Siad the leader after he couldn't feel the headband.

" What?! "

" Who stole it?! "

" I didn't see anyone! "

Axel and Shinso watched them freak out before moving on to the next team. The audience kept watching the teams that were after Midoriya till one person commented...

" Hey, where is the blonde-haired guy? "

" You mean explosion boy? "

" No, I mean the blonde-haired kid that got second place. "

" Oh him, he's... I don't see him! "

" Who are you talking about? "

Soon enough more people commented on how they couldn't locate Axel at all. They commented amongst themselves as the teams kept fighting.

Most of them were too busy to even notice that Axel wasn't anywhere to be seen.

" I get that you can reflect light but they could have heard us coming right? " Shinso said.

" No. The barrier reflects light but also keeps sound from going out. Nobody can hear us coming. This also works with smell as well, so people with an enhanced sense of smell can't smell us coming. " Axel explained.

Shinso looked at Axel who was focused on what's in front of him. Shinso then looked at the next team.

After Axel's declaration, Shinso decided to train as much as possible for the sports festival and realized why he failed the entrance exam. He didn't train hard enough.

Everyone in the hero course must have trained extremely hard, not just their quirks but their bodies. Well some of them. His quirk was at disadvantage against robots but he could have used a weapon like a bow staff or just his body.

He didn't though, which is why he trained his body as much as possible while focusing on his quirk.

He took more headbands from other teams as he and Axel had comfortable silence as they advanced.

" Hey, why don't you let me use my quirk? " Shinso asked.

It was weird. Axel said he was interested in him and probably wants to see his quirk in action. He could use it here but Axel was going everything.

" Oh that, I don't need you to use it now. You can use it in the 1v1 matches and I'll be able to know. " Axel said.

Shinso nodded his head at that. Once in the 1v1, all eyes would be focused on him, meaning the first round when he used his quirk, the other students may have an idea about his quirk. Axel on the other wanted to confirm it.

Besides that, his quirk is better kept under wraps. If someone knew what his quirk can do, it wouldn't be as effective. He would lose the element of surprise.

" Where is that blond-haired kid? "

" He's not in the arena at all! "

" Is it his quirk or is it the person he's partnered with? "

" I think it's his teammate. "

' The audience is trying to guess my quirk. This will give me an advantage in the next round as everyone will be paying attention to me to know what my quirk is. ' Shinso thought.

" We are currently in 6th place and there are 2 minutes left on the clock. " Shinso said.

" Yep. I already know go should get the headbands from. " Axel said.

" Alright. Let's finish this while everyone else focuses on the Midoriya. " Shinso said.

Axel then rushed towards more teams as Shinso stretched his hands out and grabbed the headbands.

" Times up!! " Mic yelled.

Bakugou fell to the floor out as the challenge ended, landing on his face. The others got off as they waited with bated breath for the results.

" In 1st place, Team Todoroki! " Midnight yelled.

" In 2nd place, Team Bakugou! " Midnight yelled.

" In 3rd place, Team Shinso! " Midnight yelled.

" In 4th place, Team Midoriya! " Midnight yelled.

The audience cheered for the teams that moved on. Midnight soon gained the attention of the audience.

" However, Team Shinso only had 2 members. Meaning we have to take 2 members from the fifth-place team.

They are Tetsu Tetsu and Shiozaki! " Midnight yelled as classmates from 1-B congratulated them.

" Now then. Pay attention to the screen as the matchups for the contestants will be revealed. " Midnight said.

The screen turned on as the matchups came. Axel looked at the board and found his name. The person he will be fighting in the first round will be Tokoyami.

Shinso was going to face Midoriya in the first round of the competition.

" The 1v1 matches will start right after the lunch break. If you are late to the arena, that will count as a loss. The lunch break is 30 minutes. " Midnight said.

The students walked away, ready to get some food as Mina and Kirishima went towards Axel and hugged him.

" Oh my god, you worried us. We thought you weren't on the list. " Mina said with tears as she heard team Shinso but didn't know who Shinso was.

" Yeah, we thought you didn't make it. Yet Bakugou wasn't worried. " Kirishima said.

" Cool. I'm in the next round. Mina and Kirishima, this is Shinso. " Axel said as he pointed at Shinso who was next to him.

" Wait you're Shinso? " Kirishima asked as he pointed at him, who nodded.

" How have you been man? I haven't seen you since you declared war on us. That was so manly. " Kirishima said while Shinso was surprised. He wasn't expecting that.

" Yeah. Why want to have lunch with us? " Mina asked.

Shinso looked at Mina and Kirishima before looking at Axel who just shrugged. After all, it's his decision.

' Well, they don't seem like bad people, unlike them. ' Shinso thought as he remembered his time in middle school. Trusting his gut, Shinso gave them his answer.

" Alright. " Shinso said. Mina and Kirishima cheered as the 4 of them went to the cafeteria for food.
