19 Chapter 19

The students rushed into the tunnel and the first obstacle had started. It became crowded as many of them got stuck in the crowd. Pushing, shoving, and elbows slamming into faces and stomachs.

Axel didn't do anything as he watched everyone from behind as he walked forward. Soon he jumped onto a barrier he made a foot off the ground to dodge Todoroki's ice.

He watched a smart class 1-A students rushed out the tunnel faster than others. Soon enough the tunnel cleared as many more students got through.

He watched as Todoroki doze the zero pointers from the entrance exam and it started to fall. He stopped most of the students but he didn't care as he focused on a blond-haired male.

Axel watched as the kid used a quirk. However, it was the same as someone else in the competition.

' A copy quirk. That's quite useful. ' Axel thought as he kept jogging.

He soon caught up to a familiar purple-haired teen with large bags under his eyes. Axel ran right next to him.

" On your left. " Axel said.

Shinso looked to his left and saw Axel jogging beside him while he was sitting in students he put under his control.

" Interesting quirk. Did you influence them or just brainwash them? " Axel asked as he looked at Shinso.

Shinso looked at Axel in shock. He didn't expect Axel to guess his quirk so fast. However, he wasn't going to reveal his quirk to him.

" Something like that. " Shinso answered.

Axel nodded his head. He expected this. He kept his eye on Shinso and saw he talked to these guys.

' He could have influenced them with his quirk but the possibility of them answering him allowed him to brainwash them. I'm assuming it's brainwashing for now. ' Axel thought.

" So I see you trained a little for the sports festival. " Axel said as he looked at Shinso's arms. They had a bit of muscle on them unlike when the first time he met him.

" I took your words seriously. I won't lose and I will make it to the hero course. " Shinso said resolutely.

" Alright then. By the way, why do have such big bags under your eyes? " Axel asked. He looked at Shinso and thought Aizawa should take him as his personal student. They have many similarities.

" Oh that. I have insomnia. I can't fall asleep easily. " Shinso said.

" I see. " Axel said.

" Here we go, folks. The final obstacle. The minefield. The first one to arrive is Todoroki from class 1-A. " Mic shouted.

" Hmm, seems they are already there. What's your name though? I should have asked before. " Axel said.

" Hitoshi Shisno. "

" Axel Black. "

Axel then created a barrier and jumped onto it.

" We can talk more later. I need to catch up to my classmates. " Axel said.

" Why though? You could have kept up with them from the start or even pass them. Why are you here? " Shinso asked.

" I was interested in the other classes so I stayed back and watched. You interested me from your declaration so I wanted to speak with you again.

As for catching up, well my classmates want to beat me. Can't disappoint them or they will annoy me. There's also the angry pomeranian . " Axel said as he thought about Bakugou.

" That's true. " Shinso said agreeing with Axel.

" See you at the finish line. "

Axel then sped off on his makeshift overboard. He passed many of the other students by flying above them and made his way to the minefield.

" As the battle continues between Todoroki and Bakugou. Wait what's this? Class 1-A Axel Black is closing in on the minefield and he's making his way there right now!! " Mic yelled.

The audience looked at the screen as they watched Axel leisurely fly on his hoverboard.

" He can fly?! "

" That's awesome. "

" He's getting closer to the minefield. "

Todoroki and Bakugou glanced back as they watched Axel turn around the corner towards them. Midoriya also looked back as Axel approached them.

Todoroku and Bakugou stopped fighting and put all their efforts into rushing forward. Midoriya slammed into the mines he stacked up and blasted himself forward.

Axel watched as they rushed forward. He passed many others on his hoverboard as he watched as Midoriya used Bakugou and Todoroki to launch himself forward.

Bakugou and Todoroki were caught in the explosion as Axel passed them in 2nd place.

Midoriya looked back and ran as he possibly could. Bakugou and Todoroki rushed forward using their quirks to catch up.

Axel watched them and kept up his normal pace. As they went through the tunnel, they rushed forward the winner was decided.

" And the winner of the race is Izuku Midoriya. " Mic yelled.

The audience cheered as Axel followed Midoriya, with Todoroki right after and Bakugou after him.

" Axel Black gets 2nd place! What a comeback from being at the back. Todoroki gets 3rd place while Bakugou gets 4th place. "

The audience cheered as they talked about the winners. They whispered to each other as they looked at Axel who wants even sweating that hard compared to the other three who were somewhat tired.

Bakugou walked up to Axel as Axel looked at him.

" Why were you so far behind?! You could have lost!! " Bakugou yelled.

" Not really. I would have moved on to the next stage. You'll face me in the 1v1 matches. You don't have to worry about that. " Axel said as he looked at Bakugou.

' Besides, the person whos hosting the festival is Midnight. She's sadistic. '

Bakugou stared at him for a while before nodding as he backed away satisfied. He wanted to beat Axel in this tournament. A 1v1 match with him where there would only be one winner. That's what he wants.

Axel watched as others came into the arena one after the other. Looking at the scoreboard and the students coming in he found Shinso mocking on to the next round as well as the kid with the copying quirk.

He soon waited as everyone crossed the finish line. Looking at the board, most of the students left the arena as they didn't get into the top 40.

" Alright everyone, the 40 contestants are all decided. It's now time for the second event of the sports festival. " Midnight said as the screen turned.

Cavalry battle.

" It's cavalry battle. For this event, Students will team up in groups ranging from 2 to 4 people.

They will have a rider as the others make sure he doesn't touch the ground. If the rider touches the ground, that team is eliminated.

As for what they will be fighting for, points. Each contestant that made it into the top 40 is awarded points, starting from the bottom which is 10 points. As the rank moves up that rank has 10 more points than the last.

Meaning if 40th place has 10 points, the 39th place has 20 points.

These headbands are given to the teams after their pints are totaled. However, first place has a different number of points. " Midnight said as Midoriya tensed.

With a sadistic expression on her face midnight says...

" The person in 1st place has 1 million points."

The other students looked at Midoriya with greed in their eyes. They were going to get those points.

' Called it. ' Axel thought.

" You have 10 minutes. Make your teams and decide your riders. Come to us and we will give you your headband. " Midnight said.

Immediately, everyone started to make teams. Axel looked at everyone walked away to the person he wanted on his team.

" Let's team up, Shinso. "
