The other end of the deal

Killua woke up the next day with the sun in his eyes and a massive headache. Last night he let all his self-control crumble to the ground. He had cried in front of Gon before but never like this. He hadn't cried so much since he was younger than three years old, displaying weakness like this in his family it meant punishment. Sure, he got punished a lot, especially whipping which he was used to, to the point of it becoming more like tickling. It was sad really. Poisoning, he became immune, unfortunately, he also became immune to medical pills and syrups (alcohol too). Electricity, he had become so accustomed to it that now he controlled it and after two years, almost three, of using it he couldn't feel the pain from it anymore. So yeah, pain was an old friend, but letting it all go? That was new to him, especially since there was no punishment to follow.

He got up and stretched hearing all the cracks his muscles made and instantly feeling more relaxed. He was so at ease that he hadn't realized the change of his environment, a deadly mistake if he was in his world. He quickly scanned the room, finding more than one way to escape if necessary, even though he knew there wouldn't be such a need. Old habits don't die easily.

He exited the room finding himself in a small corridor with very little light. The smell of frying eggs and bacon made his stomach rumble in protest, he hadn't eaten anything since breakfast… two days ago. He was busy studying for the exam and making the necessary papers that confirmed his existence in this new world. It was a lot of work, finding the right guy for the job, threatening him for his crazy high price until he peed himself and told him it was free of charge. Okay, maybe there wasn't a reason to threaten him, he had the money but his prices were way too high and he felt like he needed a lesson of 1. Not underestimate his clients no matter how young they were and 2. Not overestimate his abilities. He didn't expect for him to pee himself and make it free of charge, that was a plus. He did feel a little guilt for crashing the guy's pride and perhaps manhood, he only left a little bloodlust, how was he supposed to know he would pee himself… in front of the girl he was previously making out with… in a way it was hilarious, but that didn't stop the tiny bit of guilt rising in him afterward.

He walked into the kitchen and saw Aizawa making breakfast. Remembering his breakdown yesterday he couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. He sighed and soundlessly walked closer to Aizawa to talk to him, he had to tell him about the papers and what he knew about the league as well as any information he had gathered from the underworld.

Killua: Good morning~~ He said in a sing-song voice, making him sound like a child, Aizawa who was oblivious to his entering jump a little in surprise almost dropping the frying pan.

Aizawa: Could you please stop popping up out of nowhere? He told him while turning around to look at him, he took notice of his appearance but did not comment on it.

Killua: What are you talking about? I walked here, by the way, how did I end up in that room?

Aizawa: I didn't hear you coming, also I carried you there and for a kid in your age you are way too light…

Killua: I'm a trained assassin, of course, you didn't hear me coming. If you didn't notice I don't really make a sound when I walk, one of the first things I was taught. No comment about my weight.

Aizawa: Right, go and clean yourself up. I don't have any clothes that will fit you so you will have to make do with what you're wearing. There's a spare toothbrush in the cabinet under the sink. Aizawa told him and pointed in the direction of the bathroom.

Killua: Okay~~ he said with his sing-song voice and disappeared to the hall and inside the bathroom.

Killua looked around the small bathroom for a bit before taking out the toothbrush from the sink's cabinet. He proceeded to brush his teeth until he caught eye of his reflection. 'Wow, I look like shit' he thought as he took note of his red and swollen eyes from his outburst last night, his cheeks were also a little red and puffy as for his clothes they had a lot of fur on them… wait fur? He noticed that Aizawa had cat staff all around the house but he didn't see the cat or cats, taking into account all the different fur on his clothes he thought there were cats rather than one cat.

He took his clothes off and shook them to get rid of the fur, once he did that, he redressed himself and brushed his teeth. Later when he would go back into his apartment, he would take a nice long bath and change to clean clothes.

He walked back into the kitchen and took a seat at the small table.

Killua: Do you have coffee? He asked Aizawa, and he once again jumped in his sudden appearance.

Aizawa: You need to announce your entering instead of giving me a heart attack. How do you drink it?

Killua: Sweet, by the way how many cats do you have?

Aizawa: Three, why?

Killua: I had a lot of fur in my clothes.

Aizawa: Sorry I didn't have time to change the sheets. So, I made a plan for today. Aizawa said as he gave Killua his coffee and put their plates on the table to eat. We are going to your apartment and start packing your things and bring them here, later I'm going to talk to your landlord or lady and tell them that you will be staying with me from now on. Also, we will tell them you are my nephew. Any objections?

Killua: First let me shower and change to clean clothes, then we can proceed on packing. By the way, I had a guy making me an ID and papers so it can seem like I actually existed in this world and not magically appeared.

Aizawa: Normally I would be against that but considering your situation it's the only way. Aizawa paused and looked at Killua. I think we should tell Principal Nezu and detective Tsukauchi about your situation.

Killua: Sure, what can go wrong by telling a detective I'm a former assassin?

Aizawa: I'm serious, Tsukauchi isn't like other police officers. He will understand, besides you didn't really had much of a choice you were a kid. And if you don't want to tell the detective that's fine but Nezu will be able to find the holes in your story.

Killua: So, he is a must…

Aizawa: Yeah, but he will probably want to be sure and have detective Tsukauchi either way.

Killua: Fine. Killua reluctantly agreed. Can you arrange a meeting?

Aizawa: I can, but I want to see you in action and their reactions to your power. I already have an idea of what you can do but others don't. I want you to take the exam like everyone else and after the results are out, I'll arrange a meeting with the two of them.

Killua: You're more cunning than I gave you credit for. Killua said with a grin.

Aizawa: I have to, considering my usual missions as a spy. By the way, how did you manage to get the papers?

Killua: I found a guy through the underworld's system and asked him, course he saw that I was young and didn't know about my fights so he gave a crazy high price, then I threatened him and he peed himself Infront of his girlfriend.

Aizawa: Okay that's funny, but did you had to threaten him? He said chuckling.

Killua: He didn't give me any choice; besides it was only intimidation how was I suppose to know he would pee himself? Killua said with a grin, then a notification popped up on his phone. It's Giran, he says he arranged a fight for tonight. What exactly do you want me to look out for?

Aizawa: I don't get a say on this am I? he saw as Killua shook his head. Anything you can find about the LOV.

Killua: I already know some things about them, not much though. As far as I know, Giran is an affiliate of the League of Villains, he recommended a girl named Toga, I saw her last fight. She is psycho, but I think that's because of her quirk. After some observation, I found out that she can change her appearance the condition is to consume her target's blood. Then I heard about a guy that can open portals and their leader's name which is Tomura Shigaraki, honestly though I think he's not the mastermind behind their organization. Giran also recommended me, without my consent and they liked my fighting style, ever since then they've been a pain in the ass. I always tell them to fuck off but they just don't get the message.

Aizawa: That's one more reason for me to worry.

Killua: You really shouldn't. That's all I know about them, anything else that might be of use to you?

Aizawa: Actually, that's plenty, now we only need access to their security so we can have a raid in the underworld with the police. Before that though, we need the names of the top "Players" in the underworld.

Killua: Leave those things to me, I can grant you access to their security at the same time install a virus as for the top "players" I'll get you a list.

Aizawa: Fine, but I want to be in contact with you the whole time. Aizawa said and rose from his seat to go in the living room and retrieve a small box which gave it to Killua. He cautiously took it and inspected it, trying to guess what it is. His curiosity got the best of him and opened the small box finding a small communicator inside. You expected me to send you back to the den of wolves alone? I agreed on your terms and you have to agree to mine, I already hate the idea of sending you there but that way at least I'll know you're okay. I also consider giving you eye contacts with micro-cameras in them.

Killua: Overprotective much?

Aizawa: Someone has to be… once you finish eating put the dishes on the dishwasher and get ready to leave. Aizawa disappeared inside his room to change and Killua got up and start placing the dirty plates in the dishwasher.

The ride to Killua's apartment was silent, no one really knew what to say to the other, so they settle with the music from the radio and comfortable silence. Once they reached the apartment, they started packing his clothes except for the ones he was going to wear and before they knew it, it was lunchtime.

Aizawa: Go ahead and take a bath while I cook something.

Killua: You got it. Killua said as he picked up his clothes and headed towards the bathroom.

He filled the bathtub with ridiculously hot water and undressed. He slowly entered the bathtub and felt his body immediately relax under the boiling hot water. After he washed away the sweat from yesterday's fight and today's cleaning, he leaped out of the bathtub and swept himself using a towel.

He slowly dressed in dark green cargo pants with his signature silver chain. He wore a long-sleeved white shirt with a black pocket over his chest and a petrol (color) jacket with no sleeves.

As he got out of the bathroom he was welcomed by the scent of food. They ate in silence each enjoying the meal and each other's company. Later they washed the plates and put the boxes with Killua's things in the car. Killua had few things that consisted of his clothes few electronic devices, such as the Tv, his Laptop, and the coffee maker. Everything else belonged to his landlord as the house he rented was already furnished.

͛֎͛

Killua was pissed, no, more than pissed. He was tired of Giran doing things that affected him without his consent.

Giran had arranged a death match for him, even worst, he didn't even bother to gather information about his opponent. Once again, he was blinded but the crazy amount of money, they offered him and he agreed without second thoughts.

Killua: Are you a fucking idiot??? He asked Giran in a very loud and intimidating voice. Not only do you arrange a death match for me, but you're also sending me there blindfolded, with zero information about my opponent.

Giran: Calm down Killua, we are getting a crazy amount of money from this match.

Killua: Money?? That's what you're thinking again? Listen I might be confident about my skills but I'm not careless. Not only do you put a price on my life, but you're also forcing me to kill with that stunt of yours.

Giran: I'm sure you can handle it just fine. Killua narrowed his eyes on Giran letting a big amount of bloodlust, making him cold sweat, and tremble.

Killua: You'll never do something like that again, also you're only getting 10% of the money if I win the match, am I understood?

Giran: Ten??!! He exclaimed shocked and terrified at the same time.

Killua: Am I understood? Killua repeated his question letting even more bloodlust.

Giran: Y-yes. Giran said he could hear his own heartbeat beating so fast he thought it would explode from fear. At that very moment, he only had one thought 'What kind of monster have I awaken?'

Killua started walking down the corridor whispering to his communicator to an over worrying Aizawa.

Killua: I can handle it, but I have no choice, I'll have to kill my opponent if not I would be in deep shit. People will start getting suspicious.

Aizawa: I don't like this.

Killua: I don't either but I've got no choice and you know it, even if I wasn't undercover right now, I would still need to do it. In places like this is kill or be killed. Sparring my opponent's life will result in his death by someone else and it would also make me a target.

Aizawa: I know, I know. I knew I should have given you the eye contacts…I'll be there in five minutes try not to die.

Killua: First of all, why the hell are you coming here? Second, I wasn't planning on dying.

Aizawa: You have a deathmatch and you expect me to just sit by and wait?

Killua: When you put it that way… just stay in the shadows. He murmured as he entered the stadium. The fight is about to start talk to you later. He said moving forward towards the cage.

Aizawa: Be careful.

Killua entered the cage his sapphire eyes landed on the woman in front of him, she had long gray hair with black tips that reached her knees. The front of her hair was caught in a small braid on the back of her head. Her eyes were fully silver with glints of dark gray, her pupils were split. Her eyes were identical to a snake's.

Her ears were slightly pointed as well and she had a half mask covering her mouth much as Killua did. Her skin had the color of a pale blue and she wore a rather revealing outfit.

Announcer: Ladies and gentleman the fight we were all waiting for. On one side we have the undefeated and mysterious Shadow. Cheers and boos filled the stadium at the mention of Killua's alias. And on the other side, we have the dangerous beauty, one of the strongest fighters of the underworld and queen of cage Medusa. The crowd went crazy to the introduction of the 'Queen', awe's and cheers along with multiple deafening whistles could be heard from miles away. Now, let the fight begin. He said announcing the beginning of the fight, both of the fighters got in their own battle stances ready for any kind of attack.

Medusa: You could have avoided all this, if only you accepted our offer. She said her voice cold and devoid of any emotion. She removed her mask revealing her large mouth rimmed with long, sharp teeth (A/N her mouth is identical to Mileena's from Mortal Kombat). She lunched forward to Killua with unimaginable speed, her long sharp nails inches away from his face as he dodged her attack by taking a step back. She maneuvered her body to land a powerful kick in his abdomen. She was fast but Killua was faster and managed to dodge her attack again. No, one denies the will of the league, and those who do, don't live to tell the tale. She exclaimed.

Killua: Pathetic, you destroy people that don't agree with your petty beliefs and don't do your beating. How childish… he said with an apathetic look on his face. This was not his day, first, he finds out that he had a deathmatch then his opponent is a psycho snake bitch that wants to kill him because he refused the league's offer. But there was more into this than met the eye. Giran was an affiliate of the league, he loved money but he was scared of them. He knew what they were planning, he knew what their goal was, he knew that they wanted to kill Killua. He wasn't going to refuse the battle out of fear but money was a plus for him, actually, he was certain that Giran bet against him.

She jumped into the air ready to drop a kick on his head once again, but he caught her leg and threw her in the air. He ran towards the cage bars with enormous speed and jumped on them gaining momentum and was now in the air just like his opponent. He maneuvered his body in an upside stance, putting his hands on her shoulders he dropped his legs on her back sending her to the ground, smoke rose from where she fell as the ground beneath her shattered.

He landed on the ground silently, his eyes never leaving his opponent's blurry silhouette, he could still see her despite the smoke. She threw two knives to him, with less precision than his family's butler. He easily dodged and waited for her already expected attack on him, she ran and jumped on him, landing on his chest trying to bite off his neck. He fell on the ground immediately rapping his legs on her torso and spinning around, he was now on top of her ready to punch her, but he stopped his fist inches away from her face which had a disgusting grin, making her yellow sharp teeth even more visible.

Two silver snakes were on Killua's shoulders biting him and purring their poison into his veins.

[Black Mamba] she said in a whisper but loud enough for him to hear. He noticed how her hair had now the form of two silver/dark gray snakes, that were biting each of his shoulders. (A/N despite their name having the word black in it, black mambas are usually dark gray or silver; black is more of an uncommon color for them) she put the weight of her upper body in her elbows and whispered in his ear.

Medusa: Game over little boy. She pushed him off of her and stood up watching the boy's numb body on the ground.

Announcer: And the winner is… the announcer stopped mid-sentence as he watched Killua on her shoulders spinning her head with his hands. A deafening crack was heard at the now silenced stadium. Her head was now spined in an unnatural angle. He hopped off of her and landed right Infront of her. His eyes were icy cold, as he looked down at his victim.

Killua: I forgot to tell you; poison doesn't work on me. He said in an equally cold voice, as he sharpened his nails and ripped off her head. Her headless body fell to the ground as her head flew into the air before getting smashed by a yo-yo. Everyone in the crowd shivered at the kid's brutality, their hearts beating louder and faster at the terrifying sight. Aren't you going to announce my victory? He asked the announcer who was now on his butt trembling.

Even Aizawa who knew Killua's story was taken aback by his brutality. He looked at the young boy inside the cage. His eyes were devoid of any emotion.

"that's the result of growing up in a living hell," he thought. Even though he was surprised by his brutality he only felt sorry for the boy because he knew why he turned into a monster. It was the only way for him to survive.

It was the world that made him a monster, but it was also the world that showed him the other side of the darkness, the side of the light that came into the form of a boy, a friend that he desperately needed to open his eyes to see the meaning of life and how precious it is. But monsters sometimes forget their tamed sides and revert to their original forms unwillingly.

That made Aizawa more determined than ever, he saw it as his responsibility to help him and to teach him the right ways. He wasn't an animal that needed training, or a monster that needed to be tamed, he was a boy that needed guidance. He needed to be reassured and to be reminded that he was a human rather than the monster people made him out to be.
