Metanoia - The Age of Innocence

This argument grew from nowhere into an outrage. In my rage, I was blind to her, to the graceful parts of her heart. I assumed I was right when I had no reason to. The words she spoke with such intentioned purity triggered something inside of me that came from fear. The words that calmed her, scared me. The words that calmed me, scared her. We were opponents, suddenly blind to each other's good hearts and building walls instead of bridges. She stood up, and ran out. It all felt like a sudden daydream, her eyes looking back at me so glassy, so anxious, and I felt paralyzed. I put the drink on my mouth and finished it again. I heard the barkeeper coming back and ordered another one. I hated it when again, she had to think about if she still loved me. Melea&Taylor.
