Once upon a time, the planets and the fates

You and I ended up in the same room

I should have never crossed paths with him on my first day of 9th grade .

My friend Hannah was my number one supporter

But now she is telling me to get my shit together, she is right , it's not like we actually dated , I didn't love him , I didn't even want to be with him.....I just thought he was compatible , He was a good option to have,

he was smart , handsome, selfless , nice to strangers, and very friendly to people he didn't even like

How can I let go of someone like that , I needed him to be my boyfriend...

I had the perfect plan to get him

I befriended one of his friends and made him slip up and tell me some info about his friend

Roy ,the sweet , introvert , new student, and smart boy

The one I needed to be my boyfriend

I acted like I liked the same things, and like i didn't even know, he existed because boys like girls they can't approach

If you become approachable, they will lose interest very quickly

After I followed my plan and told my friend by the end of the 1st of school, I would be his girlfriend... the 2nd term started

My friends, Hannah and Eve, told me that sometimes not everything goes as planned

But I'm Lily Mason, everything goes as I planned or I thought that

In the 2nd term

Somehow , Roy was in love

Was he always in love with me, or did I actually succeed? My plan was very important, I wanted it to be a success , it worked on many people before him....he can't be an exception .

We were convinced that my plan could get anyone to fall in love with you

But I got overwhelmed, I knew I needed to show a little bit of emotions towards him if I wanted the plan to fully succeed and continue

But I didn't have the emotions nor the passion

I tried my best to be nice to him. Maybe that would do for the lack of emotions

The end of the 2nd term came, and I didn't even have a proper conversation with him

I couldn't let the summer break come without making sure that I already had him

My friends hyped me to go talk to him after the last exam at the end of the year

And I went due to Eve pressure

I didn't go because I wanted to

I went because I'm an egotistical stupid human

That hates when someone tells me that I won't be able to do something

Maybe I can't love or trust

But I think that my strategy and smart recklessness added for what I lacked

When I went to talk to him

"Roy , Roy. hi, " I said that while approaching him and waving

" Hi ,..." He looked away, and his cheeks flushed

" How did you do in the history exam ? " I thought that was a nice conversation to have since we just finished the exam minutes ago

" Well , I did fine," He replied

" What are you planning on doing this summer?"

" Nothing much, you know, just chilling watching TV,"

" Same , really,"

" Where are your friends? "

" What ? My friends, oh, you mean Eve and Hannah? "

" Yes , I wanted to talk with Eve,"

" ....."

" Why?"

" No , nothing ,just normal talk."

" Do you like her ? " I couldn't stop myself from asking that day

How can he like her ?!

Then that means all my plans and actions were wrong !

The silence that was in the room

I hated myself so much for doing that

I was always smart

How could he make me look so naive

My phone ringtone was the only thing that broke the silence between both of us

" Lily , did you talk to him ? " it was Hannah

" Really ! Okay, mom, I'm coming right away. "

" Roy , something actually came up ! You will find Eve in the music room. "

I left that day and went and told everything to Hannah and Eve

They told me that maybe Roy was the one who would take revenge for all the boys who I broke their hearts till now

They never supported my actions

Six months later, I didn't even cross path with him in the street once

Now I'm walking to my school

For the first day of my 10th grade

I'm still 16, but I'm turning 17 in two weeks

" Lily , you came so late , you missed the morning routine," Steven said as I entered the class

Morning routine is an exercise that the school makes us do every morning before the classes start

I hated it , don't get me wrong , I like exercising and I like swimming and running so much

But if I'm forced to do it after 11 years of being forced to do it , my resentment started growing my love for sports

Now i go to get some freshed baked cupcakes from my favourite bakery near the school, then I buy some canned coffee . By the time I reach the school, the morning routine will be finished

" Yeah , unfortunately the bus came late so I arrived late Steven "

Steven doesn't know that I don't ride busses

Also, Steven is the type that cares too much about other people's lives

He is so nosy that he ended up without any friends

So , I ended up being his only friend .

" Did you have time to get breakfast then ? "

He said that as he sat in his seat that was beside me , Under his bad habit of sticking his nose in other people matter , their was a 17 year old boy that was raised well and genuinely cared for his friends

" Yeah , how could I forget?" I said that as I pulled my canned coffee and baked cupcakes

" Yeah, food is 100 times more important,"

I laughed at his words as I sat down on my seat

" Lily, HI " Tiana was entering the class and came to me

She had curly black hair , with dark brown eyes , she was very beautiful

Her being on the top of class made her more popular with teachers

Teachers loved her , like how they loved

" Hi Tia , Did you hear that our first class today is going to be philosophy?" I said that to Tiana , my lowest subject in my grades being philosophy, I hated it , I wasn't a book smart person , I couldn't memorize well either

" Really ! " She said happily

" You must be really annoyed right now, Lily," Steven said as he stood with us

Tiana and Steven were book smart people . What a blessing for them

" Yeah, I'm annoyed," I said as I sat down

" Well , I'm sure, Mr Wilson won't give us a hard lesson on our first day " Tiana was a sweet girl, she cared to not hurt anyone's feelings , She never open up to me , maybe she knew that I was very opposite of her

" You are right, Tiana , don't lose hope, Lily," Steven said as he patted me on the shoulder

" Okay , let's not lose hope , new year new me"

I said that, and Tiana laughed and went to sit in her assigned seat next to the window

My assigned seat was next to Steven

We have been assigned next to each other for years now

" Hannah !" I said that excitedly as I went up to Hannah, who had just arrived

Hannah had short black hair , she was a little tanned , with a confident aura around her

She had many friends and many boys that floated around her

" Lily !" She said that as he pinched my cheeks

" Stop it, Where is Eve, tho ?" I asked

" I met her brother outside, the she must be somewhere in the school "

" Then I will go outside to say hi to George."

" I will come with you," Hannah said that

And we came out to the 10th grade classroom

George , Eve brother , He was a tanned boy with silk black hair like his sister

" Oh, Lily , good to see you . You must be asking for Eve,"

" No , I came to say hi , I haven't seen you in a long time." I said that to George as I entered with him and hannah his classroom

" I had a lot of matches this summer break. I couldn't see you," George said that

" Did you win any? " I asked him , knowing well that he must have won at least 8 of the 10 matches he entered. He was very talented in taekwondo

" Sure, who do you think I am?" George replied as he flexed his arm's muscles

" What a good and cool boy you are." I patted him on the head

" You guys were here !"

" We should be asking you where you are ? "

I said that to Eve, who had just entered the classroom too

You know when Eve entres a place , Any male their well be surprised by her beauty and her clumsiness shows in the way she carries herself , she was the most popular girl in our grade....Slick black hair , Tanned skin , beautiful body , she was really talented in drawing too and in music

After having a nice chat with George , we went back to our classroom. Some other students have come, and i said hi to them

I sat in my seat, tired from all this greeting

" Tired ?"

" None of your business, Steven Hemsworth."

" Then don't sigh beside me , you are giving me negative energy."

" I hate you,"

Our talk was cut by Mr Wilson entering the class and beging the lesson

Without realising the break bell rang

" Let's go down , I want to walk, I'm tired of sitting." I said that to Hannah and Eve

" Okay , We will just pack our things and go with you,"

Usually, Hannah and Eve take a long time to just put some notebooks back in the bag

" Then I will go first , I will be in the cafeteria." I said that and left the classroom

" Oh Lily , how have you been ? "

Mrs. Sarah said that. she was my last year biology teacher, I really liked her. She helped me a lot with my studies and then

" Good. "

" Can I ask my sweet lily for a favour ?"

" Yeah , sure,"

" Can you take these 5 papers and print them down in the print lab ?"

" Yeah , sure." They are just five papers

" Really ? You are sweet as always. "

" How many copies, Mrs?"

" 40 "

Whattt!!!

FOURTY

"....Okay , I will print them and come give it to you."

" Thank you, Lily,"

That will take the whole break to print

I entered the print lab

We got about four printers , we printed our papers ourselves , and we bought some papers from the stationery next to the print lab

For sure, this school is some elite one

From the elementary level until you finish high school, you stay in the same school

This is a good advantage

But on the other hand , the passing exams for each year are hell

It's so hard to just pass them, not even get good marks

If you fail , you immediately get transferred to another school

That's why we never have someone repeat a year here.

In this school , either you are so rich, so your parents are paying for your grades

Or you are smart enough to get through

Rich were more here

That doesn't mean there were no smart people.

There is, and they think they are some sort of World's genius

( Most of them treated people like shit just because they feel smarter than them )

I'm, in fact, one of them

All the top 10 students in each grade have a name called the honoured students

All of the 9 in my grade think that they are the best in the world when they are just some 10th graders

My hatred for them comes from their hatred towards me , it burns inside that a rich smart girl exists, when most of them are boys and most of them are of normal status .

I don't really have any real hatred towards any of them, but they just annoy me

" Only 33 Printed , Hurry "

2 minutes left, and the break ends

After the break, I have Mr.Lewis , I really don't want to enter late , he doesn't allow anyone to enter .

Only one minute!

Bream ended !

Oh, it finished finally

I took all the papers in a hurry and went to Mrs. Sarah

" Thank you,"

" No problem."

Mr. Lewis is walking towards the class

I will reach the class before him

I started walking faster

My phone isn't in my pocket

I left it down in the lab!

Let me just run fast and get it

I started running down the stairs

That was a dumb mistake

There is some boy standing on the staircase

I'm going to bump into him, and he will get hit

I will walk slower

Before I could stop running

I tripped

This boy is destined for him to get hit by me

Him standing didn't help either

I feel myself

Falling

That is going to hurt for him and for me

He was under me

" I'm so sorry , are you okay ?"

I lent the boy I fell on , a hand to help him get up

He had a buzzcut , you could see that his hair was black , his features were sharp and he was tall, at least one foot above me

I feel like i saw him before

He took my hand and got up from the floor.

" Thank you, my lady,"

My lady ? Did I get transmitted to the victoriana era or something

" You look fine , then I will leave." I turned to leave, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me back to face him

" Let go of my hand , who allowed you ? " I tried to pull my hand, but he only held on it tighter

" You crash into me, then leave , at least show some gratitude."

Oh my, I hate this people , who think that you should be indebted to them for life just because they helped you once

" I fell because of your ass standing in the middle of the stairs case," I shouted at him

I usually don't have temper, but him holding my hand and not letting it go is annoying me!

" My ass! , I should have left you to fall on the concrete stairs and open your head. " He told me

" I fell on you by accident! You didn't catch me willingly , I'm too tired to fight, leave my hand and I will just walk away!!"

" I should have let your pretty face get smashed by the concrete stairs," He said as he looked at me with very annoyed eyes

" Why are you so annoying....did you just say my face was pretty?"

"...you misheard it,"

" You are probably an 11th year student . How can you be so childish, let my hand go already!"

" What's your name ? " He asked me

" I don't tell weird guys my name,"

" Then I won't let go until you tell me,"

" Let go, you weirdo." I tried to pull my hand more, but I froze by hearing someone speaking

" She told you to let go,"

Jake came and pulled me from th weird guy and stood between us

Jake was Roy's best friend

I also part of the plan was getting to be friends with him too

" And who are you ? " The weird guy asked jake

" None of your business. Why were you holding her hand ? "

" Jake cut it out . Who are you to interfere with in my business?" I said that as I held the weird guy's hand again , just to show jake that I didn't need his help

" You..." Jake was going to say something, but I didn't want to be a part of this fight anymore

" Thank you for helping me." I shook the guy's hand and walked away

" Lily," jake called My name

I didn't stop walking, though

" Roy was going to come back and talk to you that day, but he couldn't."

When he said that, I felt my leg stop on their own

I hated the fact that I stopped

Because I didn't stop because I cared for Roy

I stopped because I cared about myself . What he said means i wasn't naive or not smart or that my plan failed

I hated that I stopped because that meant I'm selfish and unable to truly love someone

Note: Roy isn't the male lead!
