9 Chapter 9 - Uriel's Plea

Gabriel woke up beside Angeline in her room and he smiled as he looked at Angeline staring at her.

Gabriel: *I promise, I won't make you cry again and I will protect your tears and your heart. I love you. You may not know how happy I am right now seeing you are happy with me, but if I had to protect you from those who hurt your feelings like Uriel, I might lose my powers because I might not be able to forgive him and I might hurt him intentionally, if he keeps hurting you like yesterday. We need to tell him the truth about your marriage, that it actually had no effect anymore since we awakened as angels. He does not have the right to act this way towards you, since he is not your husband in the first place. You're unmarried.*

Uriel then started to try and reach Angeline again and used his powers to remove the blockage, but had no effect, so he flew outside his window and flew in to Angeline's balcony in her room and tried to open the door of her balcony, but it is closed. He used his power to try and open it using the element of air, and as he used the air, the curtain was lift up or moved aside when he was trying to open the door, and saw Gabriel beside Angeline in her bed as Gabriel is staring at her touching her face. Uriel got so mad and jealous that he burst open the balcony door and went towards Gabriel and Gabriel saw him when the curtain was moved with anger in his eyes for hurting Angeline, and just before a fight between Uriel and Gabriel ensues, Angeline woke up, saw then and she stopped them.

Angeline: Uriel, what are you doing here?

Uriel: I came to look for you to say I am sorry.

Angeline: Are you really sorry when you suddenly barge in to my room like that and trying to pick a fight with Gabriel?

Uriel: But he also barge in to your room and he looked like he was trying to kiss you.

Angeline: So what if he was trying to kiss me? Also, he did not barge in, I let him in.

Uriel: You were sleeping.

Angeline: Yes, but he was with me since last night.

Gabriel: You don't have the right to stop me from loving her, and showing my feelings for her.

Uriel: I am her husband! You know that!

Gabriel: No, you're not. The contract is gone!

Uriel: Charmeine, you told him about the contract being missing?

Angeline: Yes. Why? We're not even married anymore because the contract was cancelled when we awakened as angels. That is why we were awakened because the contract of being human and married to you has been cancelled when you let me be with Michael. Now, it is gone. I am free to be with who I want to be with. I can choose again who I want to marry as human.

Uriel: I did not know that the contract was gone because of that.

Angeline: You're smart, you're the one who taught me about this powers and who used to understand me but I guess that has changed, since you don't understand me anymore and now you're saying you did not know why the contract was gone. You should have realised it.

Uriel: I.. I am sorry. I was excited about us but worried at the same time because I was confused between sacrifice our relationship by letting you be with Michael to protect you or let you be with me and put you in danger because of my enemy. There was a lot of things going on in my head that I did not bother thinking about it and maybe because you are right, I was confident about our marriage and thought nothing will change.

Angeline: Well, everything has changed. We're not married anymore.. because of all your bad decisions, that's why this happens.

Uriel: What abour our baby?

Angeline: Don't worry, I am not going to kill our baby, I won't abort this child. I am not that kind of person, and he or she is my child, a part of me, and my genes are being imparted to her or him, I can't lose our baby. Also, don't worry, I won't stop you from wanting to have time with our baby when he or she gets born. You're still the father and you have responsibility as a father to the baby.

Uriel: Thank you, but I also want your time. I really want to make it up to you, for my mistakes. I still love you and wants to be with you, that is why I am like this. You know I get jealous.

Angeline: It is not my fault that you're jealous. Remember, I got jealous too when you are with your best friend acting like you two are a couple, so sweet to each other and smiling and happy.

Uriel: Well, she is my best friend and we rarely see each other ever since I moved here in UK.

Angeline: Gabriel is also my best friend and we haven't seen each other for more than 20 years, since I was born as human, when I chose to be with you and the contract was made until the time I met him again, but I didn't even know he was my best friend until we were awakened as angels and our memories started to come bit by bit, and he loves me so much, he already loves me even before I chose to be with you. He loves me more than a best friend.

Uriel: So, you finally remembered that he is your best friend, but Charmeine, please try to understand me too.

Angeline: I did, but you didn't. I let you be with your friends and even your best friend, even if it hurts me when you are away for long time but I understand how you want to be with them because I feel the same. I also wants to be with my friends, but I don't spend that much time with them because I know my limitations and responsibilities. In our country, yes I miss them but I wanted to surprise them and make them happy by inviting them here and attend the ball. It was better because of that excitement and how we miss each other, and that unexpected surprise of spending time with me and also visiting this country and staying in the palace for some time because I know how happy they would be, and it is the best surprise gift I gave them. So, don't tell me that I don't feel the same towards my friends back in our country, that I don't understand you.

Uriel: I am sorry, I guess I did not think that through, but please if you understand me, why are you still acting like this?

Angeline: Why? because you never thought of my feelings at all, you just kept on hurting my feelings, and you kept judging me wrongly like you don't know me at all. You are supposed to be my husband and yet, you're the least person who knows me now, because you forgot. I guess it is a good thing that the contract was cancelled about our marriage and is gone, but since we were already born as human, that cannot be changed anymore but we still got awakened as angels as well as our powers and maybe I can still choose who I really want to be with and get married with him.

Uriel: I guess you're choosing him then?

Angeline: I guess you're still smart but not totally smart, but you're finally thinking.

Uriel: Yes, because I want to understand you again, and I don't want to lose you. I have been apologising, saying sorry, trying to make it up to you but you're not letting me.

Angeline: I just don't want to get hurt again because the time you tried last night, we just argued and hurt me more, but Gabriel came to me and comforted me, he is always there when I am not feeling okay. So, don't be jealous of him, since it is your fault in the first place. He just loves me and cares about me, that is why he is always there for me. He really made efforts despite the fact that we thought and acted like we are married.
