Chapter 11 - Uriel's Decision

After the gender announcement party, in the evening, Uriel started thinking alone again on how he can have Angeline back and get married again. He knows he cannot be evil and do anything violence or something that will make him fallen and lose some of his powers. He is an upright man, who is always following the rules and always willing to protect the rules and never breaks them, as he was the one who defeated the leader of the fallen angels before, and he will defeat him again if he comes back again. Uriel wants to continue protecting Angeline by letting her be with Gabriel but he still hurt and can't live without her in his life because he still loves her so. He has been thinking on what he will do, will he choose to protect her by letting her be with Gabriel, or will he choose to follow his heart and protect her by himself, and then he realised what happened before with Angeline when he saved her from Lucy, and now she is pregnant with their babies and are twins, he decided to follow his heart and will still protect her and his babies with her. He will try to get Angeline back from Gabriel, but will he get her back and will Gabriel let Angeline go, or will Angeline go back to Uriel? Angeline and Gabriel both realised how much they really love and care for each other as the days goes by and even when they are not patrolling together, they kept worrying about each other. Gabriel's friends are also Angeline's friends and he even introduced her to his other friends, and Angeline introduced him to her other friends too, and since their families are living together in the palace, they don't need to introduce each other to them. Also, the public and everyone knows that Prince Michael is Princess Charmeine's husband and they don't even know how are they going to tell the people that the marriage is no longer valid because the contract was gone, since they were awakened as angels. Angeline and Gabriel was thinking about this as they try to think of a way to tell the people and explain without affecting their trust, reputation, and belief or faith. As angels, they should be a role model but they did not even know that the marriage is not valid anymore until the day of the ball. Angeline's mom came and saw both Angeline and Gabriel talking intimately and sincerely to each other and they seem to be worried about something. She approached them and asked them.

Angeline's mom: Is there something wrong? What are you two talking about?

Angeline: Mom, there is something I need to tell you but please don't be surprised, don't shout, and don't panic. I know you all know and think that I am married to Uriel but the truth is the marriage is not valid anymore because the contract is gone since we were awakened as angels and Uriel let me be with Michael, so the marriage contract was like deleted or gone, and it was written as we vowed to each other before that once we become human or born as human, our marriage will take effect because we promised to marry each other and that is why we decided to be born as human, to be able to marry but the reason why we got awakened because the contract was not fulfilled when I got together with Michael, not the real Prince Michael. Now, me and Gabriel are thinking how are we going to tell and explain it to others.

Angeline's mom: Just tell them the way you told me. I am sure they will understand, if some don't, then try to make them understand by telling them it was really inexpected, also, you will need Uriel with you to explain.

Angeline: I'm not sure if Uriel will cooperate.

Angeline's mom: Why not?

Gabriel: Because they are not married anymore and Uriel wants her back.

Angeline's mom: What is wrong with that? Are you two together? I mean are you two a couple?

Angeline: Yes, mom.

Gabriel: Angeline's feelings were hurt many times by Uriel because Uriel is not always there for her when she needs him, especially, she is pregnant! Uriel always goes to his friends staying long in Philippines and even forgot a lot about Angeline.

Angeline: Yes, he even forgot what I don't like and what I like because he used to remember everything about me and he used to be there protecting me and saving me when I am in danger but when he went on holiday, at first it was only for a week, then after few months, he went there again and it was supposed to be for 2 weeks but he extended up to 1 month, and then he went there again the next month, and so on. It's like, just because we have lots of money now and we have our own planes and even can fly, he is taking advantage of it too much for his own happiness and forgot about his responsibility as a husband and father, but well, I guess he is not my husband at all because the marriage is not valid anymore since this palace showed up when we were awakened as angels.

Angeline's mom: I see. So that is why you two were acting strange and you does seem cold towards him, or ignoring him whenever he looks at you and smiles at you, or tries to approach you. I love you, my child, and I want you to be happy. I will support whatever makes you happy or who makes you happy. If being with Gabriel makes you happy, I am fine with it. I don't want to see you crying and hurting because of a guy.

Angeline: Thanks mom.

Angeline's mom: I guess it is still worth it if you try and talk to Uriel and help you explain to people, but if not, then that means he still loves you so much and still wants you as his wife, and does he knows why you're ignoring him?

Angeline: Yes, and he also knows that I have chosen Gabriel.

Gabriel: I think he wont cooperate at all because the last time, he was begging her to give him a chance to make up for his mistakes. We need to find a way to explain it to people without his help.

Angeline: Yes. I don't want people to keep talking about and thinking about that me and Prince Michael are a married couple, because we are not. It seems like we are lying if we keep making them believe that.

Angeline's mom: That is true. You have a point but don't worry, I will try to help too, if I can.

Angeline: Thanks mom.
