Just another day.

The light shined through the crystal waters as the sun rose over the vast sea. Lillia slept peacefully on her seaweed bed, after another long night of staying up observing the tall tower. Her eyes opened slightly as the sun rays pierced through her cave, shining on her tender face. The young mermaid stretched her arms and as her head tilted backwards slightly. A soft yawn coming out of her tiny mouth, creating bubbles that escaped to the surface. It was just another simple and boring day. Lillia swam out of her cave to look for Asherah; her closest friend, at least for now. Looking at her surroundings as if she hadn't seen it before, getting distracted by the colors swimming around her. Stumbling across a few baby turtles who where swimming the way she was going. The small turtles formed a spiral around her, dancing and swimming. Getting lost in the moment, a bright and playful smile washing upon her face going along with the tiny creatures of the sea. Finally arriving at her destined place; Lillia swam into her friend wrapping her arms around her almost immediately, knocking her down, as they both spin in the water. Asherah's face lit up the moment she realized who it was; hugging Lillia back pulling her in to a tight hug almost squeezing her. They both giggled as they let each other go and intertwined their fingers swimming to the surface, at a magnificent speed. Their wet hair sticking to them as their heads popped out of the salty waters. "Sooo guess who I met" Asherah spoke in a soft yet exited tone making Lillia curious. "I don't know..? Who did you meet?" Lillia tilted her head giving her full attention to Asherah as she couldn't wait to hear what she had to say. "I met a human!" Said Asherah exited and happy, but Lillia on the other hand was scared of what her friend had just confessed. "A-a human?!" Said Lillia stumbling over her words out of fear. Asherah nodded eagerly still looking as bright as before. "You know we are not supposed to get near them! Or talk to them for the matter!" Lillia was shaking as the words came out of her. "I promise he's different. He's not like what they have told us. He's nice and sweet." Said Asherah, her lips turning into a small yet noticeable pout. "Are you kidding ?! You know how humans are! You could get hurt!" Lillia said angrily almost shouting at her friend for being so naive. "B-but it's fine I promise! He really is different... please give it a shot? For me?
