Waking up from a deep slumber, a young man in elegant clothes gazed at the strange environment around him. He sensed a powerful energy and vigor flowing in his blood, and he explored the new place with curiosity.

"Imperishable Body, Undying Will..." Bai Chen whispered to himself as he sat on the floor.

"No matter if the heavens unleash their wrath upon me, or if I tread the infernal paths of hell, I will emerge unscathed and unbroken!" Bai Chen contemplated in silence as the revelation of his unique ability dawned on his mind.

Bai Chen scrutinized the memories of the former owner of this body and felt a surge of ecstasy.

Bai Chen narrowed his eyes and his expression turned grave. "But before I do anything else, I need to verify if I really have the power of immortality."

He rummaged through his house until he found a sharp knife and then slashed his throat without hesitation.

Blood spurted out of Bai Chen's wound and he felt his life slipping away. He wanted to cry out, but no sound came out of his mouth.

To anyone else, this would be a hopeless and tragic situation, but Bai Chen was confident that he would come back to life.

A few seconds later, Bai Chen's eyesight faded and he lost consciousness. But to his astonishment, Bai Chen's body healed itself completely.

There was no trace of injury on his skin, except for the blood stains on his clothes. He felt as healthy and strong as ever.

Bai Chen burst into a maniacal laughter, "Hahaha! With this amazing ability, who can possibly challenge me?"

Bai Chen's cheerful face turned dark as he thought of something and whispered, "What if they capture me? Then… I'll be powerless…"

But Bai Chen dismissed the idea. He was too smart to let other people trap him. He was, after all, the reincarnation of Fang Yuan.

Someone as cunning as Fang Yuan wouldn't let some weak mortals catch him.

There is a guy on the subreddit r/martialmemes and other xianxia subreddits that thinks that he is genuinely Fang Yuan for a while, and I've decided to write a webnovel about a mentally ill main character that has an extremely overpowered ability.]
