10 Chapter 9: Lanlan’s system rewards

MegnYu said good bye to the guest and grandpa hui send the money afterwards.

MengYu used his phone and bought some stocks that are going to be on a higher price in the future.

Then he went to talk to Xiao Lan.

MengYu almost squeak but he covered his mouth so it didn't sound out.

'An antidote for the virus!?'

[yes! It an antidote, but it's from 1536years in the future! So host maybe dead at that time if host didn't get to level 300! And the plants needed in the antidote didn't even exist yet!!!]

'Ah so it's not possible to make it in my life time uh....' MengYu clam down at little and was a bit disappointed so he didn't heard that he can live longer if he reaches level 300.

[Yup so host can only get it from system until 1536years passed! Lanlan give host good things so that host can be safer! Because host is just starting Lanlan made it so that the rewards are good and task is simple. But Lanlan can't give it to easy or host can't get stronger!]

"Okay!" MengYu said it out loud. And yelled to grandpa "Grandpa! I'm going outside for a run!"

"Okay, be careful and don't get kidnapped or go with a stranger!"

MengYu started to run. 1mile then to 3mile in a circle around the houses and plants.

He was very tired, he doesn't exercise much as a kid. At most playing basketball or dodgeballs.

MengYu wanted to rest for a bit. But then...

[Host! Don't sit down! There's a kid drowning in a lake! Humans are just watching! How evil!]Screamed Xiao Lan.

MengYu looked around, then in a distance he saw a lake with a bridge half full of people.

He sneered. Humans are all the same, even before the apocalypse happened they wouldn't even save a kid much less a person.

Even though most are old people, there is some young people there. If you are old, your bodies can't withstand the stress if you do down to save anybody. You will only be an add of burden.

But young people are different, there body are flexible and even if you can't swim you can try to get a rope or something to pull then kid up.

Yet nobody did so. They are afraid to be dragged into the mess if the kid died.

MengYu's eye turn gloomy and was more disappointed with humanity.

Then an middle age man jumped in, trying to save the kid but just when he tried to get him. He paled in place, MengYu thinks that he strained his leg and now need help too.

MengYu jumped in too. Even though he's tired, saving those two people is his primary goal now. The kid is still young and pure. The middle age man is kindhearted enough to jump in to save the kid so MengYu thinks that they are at least good people.

MengYu was holding the kid and the mid age man in his back. But on the way back he felt something is wrong...
