28 Autumn 1

Autumn laughed seeing her dad trying hard to gain her attention. She sat down beside him and hugged his hand.

DAD!!

So finally you remembered you have a dad.

She chuckled.

As you know john come to meet his brother Rohwan", Mr. miles said indicating him.

Autumn turn to look in the direction where his father was looking. She saw a tall fair boy who was expressionless looking in their direction. even though he was expressionless this added another charm to his handsome face. No one could look away.

Autumn looked at him with her eyes opened wide. She behaved like a love-struck person. She looked at him with her intense gaze.

He is about your age, I hope you both get along well. he soon will be joining your school in London", Mr. miles said.

Hi, nice to meet you I am autumn," she acted shy in front of him. She extended her hands toward him.

Rohwan did not have a good feeling, he looked at his brother, who had kept a smile on his face. He reluctantly accepted her hand.

When his big hand met her small palm she felt a tingling effect in her body. She instantly turned red.

Mrs. miles came out of the kitchen, "why don't you both take a walk in the garden, there's still some time for dinner".

Mr. miles nodded looking at both of them.

"let's go," autumn said shyly. Then both of them went towards the garden area.

Mrs. miles said," don't they look good together".

They are too young, leave that to the future, Mr. miles said looking at john. he knew what was going on in her mind.

John nodded looking at his brother's back.

"So where do you study", Autumn was very curious to know more about him.

He was reluctant but still answered her every question with an expressionless face. He was trying to evade her but he didn't know that was so attractive to her.

So do you think we can be friends? can we? she asked.

At first, he didn't think much but seeing her pleading face he agreed to it. What could probably go wrong with being friends? But he didn't know that this will bring a whole new twist to his life.

She felt so happy, can we exchange our number then?

Rohwan nodded and both finally exchanged their numbers. Autumn was about to say something just then Mrs. miles called them in for dinner.

At the dinner table, adults talked about the business while the other two talked sometimes or more like Autumn dragged Rohwan into a conversation. The dinner went surprisingly well.

The brothers left.

Mom Dad, I am tired I am going upstairs, goodnight.

Okay, good night darling, Mr. miles said. He too went towards their room. Mrs. miles stayed back as she had to give instruction to the servants for the next day.

Autumn went to her room and closed the door behind her. She rested her head on the door and stayed there for a few seconds. She picked up her luggage and started unpacking. She heard a knock on the door.

She went to open the door to see her mother standing at the door.

MOM!

Can I come in, Mrs miles smiled and said. Even though she was strict, she respected her privacy and gave her some space.

Oh looks like you are unpacking, let me help you.

Autumn smiled and hugged her mother.

So how long is your stay?

We have gotten our study leave and I will be here for a month, my exam is next month. I missed you. she snuggled in her mother's arms.

We missed you too. So how was Rohwan?

Autumn's eyes widened, she never expected her mother to be so direct.

Mrs. miles smiled at looked at her daughter who has gone red.
