7 Village

Back to the shack. The children still waiting for their big sister to bring some food for them. Little Ake still has fallen asleep after crying the whole morning. As for the other kids, they are doing their own business. All of them are still holding their hunger, some of them tried to sleep to reduce the hungry feeling in their stomach. And one of the youngest kid, a boy who is one year old sitting under the shade of a tree in front of the shack, he is seen eating some fallen leaves.

When he is still in the middle of eating the leaves there is a guy with a cow approaching him. The man gave the boy a piece of rye bread. The little boy laughed merrily seeing the bread. He took it with both of his hands.

"Let's go inside and share the breads with the other kids." The man said after he bind the cow to the tree, he lift the boy and carrying him in his arms.

"Uua..hihihi.." the boy who still unable to talk only babbling some unintelligible words and laughed happily because he was carried so high.

Inside the shack, the oldest girl who is still waiting for her brother and big sister realized that one of the kid isn't the shack. She immediately walking the shack. When she was about to open the already broken door, she saw his brother being carried by a stranger. She was worried that the stranger will bring him somewhere. But the man who brought a cloth bag with one of his hand and the kid in his other arm walking towards the shack. The man of course is Elias who spent all his money to buy some breads and a few bottles of milk.

The girl saw the kid eating a bread happily. She gulped her saliva. She felt that the hungry feeling getting worse.

"Can I come in." Elias said while smiling to the little girl.

"ye..yes." The little girl said nervously. Her worry slightly reduced after she saw the kid happily eating a bread and because the guy seems like a kindhearted person like the old grandpa from the market who often brought some fruits for them.

Elias entered the shack. After seeing the condition of the kids, his heart felt a bit pained.

"Are everyone gathered here?" Elias asked the girl.

"No, there is still Big Sis who is working. But Al is calling her to come back." The girl said. She was curious why the man want to enter the shack when usually people will avoid them when passing through the alley where the shack located.

"Fine. What is your name pretty girl?" Elias asked, while putting the kid back to the ground.

"It's Clara." The girl answered.

"What a beautiful name. Can you help me Little Clara? Can you wake the sleeping kids up? I want to share some foods with you guys."

When Clara heard about that she was so happy that she nodded furiously. Elias who saw such a reaction became glad.

Clara immediately waking all the sleeping children, and all of them approaching Elias.

Elias took the bread pieces one by one and distributed them to the kids. When finally it was Clara's turn, Elias wanted to hand her a piece of bread, but she refused.

"I can't eat when Big Sis and Al still not come. And sir, do you have something to feed Little Ake?" The little girl said, but her eyes betrayed her words. She kept staring at the breads while she talks.

Elias just smiled kindly.

"you don't have to worry. I brought enough for you guys. There is a share for both your brother and Big Sis." Elias said. After he said that, he took a look at the baby in Clara's little arms.

"Can you hand him to me?" Elias said. Clara handed the baby to Elias carefully. Elias hold the baby with his left arm and put his right palm on the baby's forehead. A warming light coming out of Elias's hand. All the kids opened their mouth widely in awe.

"Waaaahh... uncle, uncle, are you a mage?" one of the kids asked Elias. All of the kids in the shack never saw a mage before, they just heard about them in the story their Big Sis told them as a bedtime story.

All the kids coming near to him. "Uncle, can you make a big fireball and throw it to the sky and make something like 'boom'?"

"Uncle can you make the mountains crumble?"

"Mmm. Uncle, can you fly in the sky?"

The kids throwing many weird questions to him. Actually what he used to Little Ake is just an intermediate magic spell, it was a healing magic from light element. It was a spell he found in the memory of the saint in his mind.

He used it on the baby because he was aware that the baby got a severe fever and if not treated well, it was a doubt if he will survive until tomorrow. But with the spell he managed to heal the fever.

"Now, now. Let me feed your little brother first. After that I'll tell some stories to you, or even showing you some magic. How about that?" Elias said.

The children became excited after hearing that. And they gave Elias some space. Elias opened the milk bottle' cover and took a spoon then feeding it to the baby slowly.

After he fed Little Ake he started to tell some stories to the kids.

Ten minutes after he began the storytelling, the door of the shack opened and two person appeared outside of the door, a girl and a little boy.

When Elias saw the girl, he was fell silent and almost dropped the baby in his arms. He felt his heart beating so fast when he see the girl. He never felt this kind of feeling before and was confused.

The girl who was surprised to see a stranger in the shack became quiet when he saw the man staring at her with his mouth open.

"Mmm.. Excuse me, who might you be, and what business do you have with us?" The girl broke the silence. Elias who was staring at her became aware that he did something impolite. He tried to speak but his ears felt so hot because of the nervousness.

"Cough.. cough." Elias tried to break the awkward atmosphere. "I just bought some foods, and I thought share them with all of you." Elias smiled, he was recovering from the nervous feeling in his heart.

The girl looked at the kids, all of them look full. No trace of hunger seen on their faces, even the little baby who was crying earlier now laughing in the arms of that middle aged man. The girl glad that nothing happened to the baby. Now she looks at Elias with grateful smile.

"Thank you sir for your kin.." "Brakk!!!" just before she expressed her gratitude, he heard something falling on the ground. When she turned around she saw Aldrick lying on the ground.

"Al!!!" The girl shouted and hold him. She felt the boy's body was so cold.

"Don't worry Big Sis. That uncle is a mage, he can cure any illness. He can even make the dead comes back alive." A little girl said innocently.

"Yes. Earlier he even cured Little Ake." The others agreed with the little girl.

The girl who was crying now looking at Elias expectantly. Elias smiled, he approached the little boy and hold him. The knowledge he got from the new memories not only limited in cultivation matters, but there are also knowledge related to the daily life, one of them is the medical knowledge.

After he examined Aldrick's body, he put his right hand on the boy's forehead. Not long after a with light enveloped Aldrick's body. The girl was shocked, she finally believed that this guy was really a mage. The only time she saw a mage was when the town lord, Lorist Rivald made a speech at the town plaza. Even though the only thing he did was lighting a fire, it was still a magic, in the eyes of the commoners of the town it was something very amazing. On the other hand, the children became excited after seeing more magic showed to them.

"He was collapsed because he was starving, beside that, it seems that he exerted a lot of energy earlier." Elias explained with the most simple explanation.

"But, don't worry. He is alright now."

"Thank you sir. I don't know if I can ever repay your help, but I will try." The girl said seriously. She is not someone who was willing to receive any help without repaying it. That's why she worked all day long to feed the children, instead of begging on the streets.

Elias just smiling, he thought that what all he did and spent was worth it. In the beginning he planned to leave the town with the cow after he helped the children. But after seeing the real condition of the kids and how he felt that he doesn't want to stay afar from the girl –a feeling that left him confused- he come to a plan. What kind of plan it is? He planned to make a village, yes,

... a village.

In the night, Elias return to his place. He already asked the girl about the repayment she talked about. He said to repay his aid, she together with all the kids must live in his village. He promised her they will no longer worry about food or shelter if they live ii the village. He even ensured her that he will protect them. In the beginning the girl was suspicious about Elias's motive, but after thinking it through she agreed, they have no future in this town and if they stay there is the problem if any kids get sick who will help them.

After she agreed, Elias showed his true face and appearance to them which made the kids crazy, even the most mature Aldrick got excited and asked him if he can change his appearance to a dragon.

There is another benefit he got that time, he finally knew the Big Sis's name Irene, just Irene without any family name. It was because since she aware of her surroundings, she was already in the slums living with the other orphans. She never felt the feeling to have parents, the ones who cared about her and treated her like family was the orphans. And now after she grew up, she took the role as the leader of the younger orphans.

All the way home Elias kept grinning and muttering Irene's name, 'Irene, how good it will be if we add 'Pledl' in her name." Elias thought. He was confused why he felt like this, his parents never taught him about this.

After he arrived at the hut, he bind the cow to the banyan tree beside the field. He is very excited when he thinks that he will no longer be alone, he prepared to make a good place for Irene and the kids.

The first thing he did was using 'Stone Wall' spell to build a square wall surrounding the village. The wall's length is 200 meters in each sides. He used 'Stone Golem' to build the houses. He built 3 houses in total beside his small hut. He doesn't reconstructed the hut because that is the place where he and his mother used to live together.

After that, he teleported to a river 5 km away from the village and made a 3 meters wide canal from the river to the village with 'Earth Collapse' spell. The canal started from the river to the village then ending in the northern sea.

After the canal was built he built a moat connecting the river to the area inside the village. Then he built another two buildings beside the moat. The buildings was bathhouses one for women and the other for men.

He thought that everything was enough for now. He went to the hut and fallen asleep not long after putting his head on the pillow.
