17 CHAPTER-17

Previously,

"Someone's crying...?" She said and started to search. She even went outside to look. "Where is it coming from?" She said and went inside near the stairs. "Oh....?" She heard the cry from inside of the house of Yeon Joon's relative. She was waiting outside. She didn't know what to do. A person from the inside of the house came outside and yelled. "SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US!" The person yelled...

"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US!" The person yelled. As the person saw Bo Young, they rushed to her. It was a woman. "Please, help us. My husband is suffering there, he is so sick, my phone died, I can't call anyone." The woman told, tears streaming down endlessly, grabbing Bo Young's hand. "Yeon Joon isn't here?" Bo Young asked. "No...he isn't. Please help us. Please..." The woman cried and sat down as her legs felt weak. "What is the hospital name?" She asked. "*name of the hospital where Seul Hee works*" The woman said. "That's a hospital I know. Let me call the ambulance." She said and called the ambulance. The ambulance came soon. She also went with the couple. The woman kept crying. Bo Young didn't know what to do. They arrived to the hospital. They went to the emergency room. Though, Bo Young was a neighbour to them, they never had any interaction. "Do you have Yeon Joon's- Ah I forgot your phone died-?" Bo Young was interrupted by the woman. "I remember his number." The woman said. "If you can tell, I can call him right now." Bo Young said. The woman also nodded and started telling the number. "Wait here miss, I will go make the call and come." Bo Young said and went a little bit far from the room. "Please pick up, please, please." Bo Young said nervously. He picked up the call. "Oh! Hello! Is this Yeon Joon?" Bo Young asked.

"Yeah, I am Yeon Joon. Who is this?" Yeon Joon asked.

"I'm Bo Young. Where are you?" Bo Young asked.

"I'm on my way to home. How did you get my number?-!"

"That's not the problem right now. Your relatives are in trouble."

"WHAT? TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED?"

"You should come to *the name of the hospital* hospital. Hurry up."

"TCH, I TOLD THEM- I'M COMING!" He said and hung up the call.

Bo Young then worriedly went back. The woman kept crying endlessly. "I called Yeon Joon. He will be coming soon." Bo Young said. The woman heard it but couldn't respond. Bo Young was thinking: "This isn't a pleasant sight at all. I don't know what exactly happened, but I can comfort her." She then held the woman's hand. The woman looked at Bo Young. "I am not sure of what's happening now. We haven't talked nor interacted anytime, even though we are neighbours. But you know miss, when there is no one beside you, but some stranger comes and comforts you, knowing that you are not happy or fine. That's what I call a 'strange relief and heart warmth', I know it doesn't make any sense, but please don't let your hope down. I don't know how you'll take it but everything will be alright. At times like this, we can't control ourselves from crying but there is a phrase that I've always lived by, 'Don't cry and face the situation like a strong one than anyone can be.'. You'll be fine." Bo Young said and looked at the woman with a worried smile. The woman smiled halfway and nodded her head. They heard running footsteps from ahead. Bo Young turned to look at. It was Yeon Joon, Ha Sang and Seong Seop. Bo Young stood up as soon as they came, to give a seat for Yeon Joon. Bo Young stood and went to the opposite side and leaned on the wall. Yeon Joon sat with the woman, Seong Seop and Ha Sang went near him. "Yeon Joon!" The woman started crying as she said his name. "He will be fine, what happened?" Yeon Joon asked. "He was fine all the time, but when I went to look at him once, he was breathing heavily and started coughing blood. This happened again after 2 years....." The woman said and started crying. Yeon Joon held the woman's hand and whispered. "He will be fine..." Yeon Joon said. Bo Young could clearly see tears falling down across Yeon Joon's face. Bo Young thought: "Woah, that is something really serious. He started breathing heavily and coughed blood and after 2 years? And....I'm seeing Yeon Joon cry, he is really crying. He ain't his normal self. Well, everyone does cry at some point."

Seong Seop went and stood near Bo Young. "How did you know Yeon Joon's relatives?" Seong Seop asked. "I'm living in the same apartment as them." Bo Young said. "Bo Young, you can leave if you want. It's getting late." Yeon Joon said. "It's alright, I will stay here for a while." Bo Young said. Yeon Joon nodded. *ting* Bo Young's notification rung. She checked who it was. Bo Young thought: "Oh! Hee unnie texted." She read the text: "Bo Young, how was school?"

"It was fine. Where are you now?"

"I'm at work. Ah! My friend told that she saw someone like you in the hospital in the emergency room's waiting area. You're at home, right?"

"Your friend is right. I'm at the same place your friend said."

"WHAT?!??!?!"

"Why?" Bo Young sent.

Seul Hee Just read the text and didn't reply.

"Bo Young!!!" Someone called her. Everyone in the emergency room's waiting area turned. "Hee unnie?" Bo Young said. "Are you okay? What happened? Are you hurt? A cast in your leg!? What happened?" Seul Hee asked nervously holding Bo Young and looking at her up and down "Calm down, calm down. There are people here. And I'm alright." Bo Young said. Seul Hee then looked around and apologised. "What about this cast?" Seul Hee asked. "It's nothing, it's just a mild fracture, I fell in school, I'm getting recovered." Bo Young said. "Sigh, you scared me. I didn't want to see you hurt or at the same hospital...again." Seul Hee said. Bo Young panicked. "I-I didn't come for me. This is another problem. I will tell later." Bo Young said. "Ms.Seul Hee, the doctor is calling you." A nurse said. "I'm coming." Seul Hee said. "Go continue unnie. We will talk later." Bo Young said. "Be careful on your way, send me a message when you reach home. Send me the cab's number too. Bye!" Seul Hee said as she was walking. "Alright alright. I will. Bye." Bo Young said. "Was that your sister?" Song Seop asked. "Yeah... Were you guys going home together?" Bo Young asked to change the subject. "Yeah, we live in the same neighbourhood and go to home together after training." Seong Seop said. "Oh..." Bo Young nodded. "Are you training in any company?" Seong Seop asked. "Nope." Bo Young said. "Really? I thought you were a trainee. You never encountered a scouting too?" Seong Seop asked. "Never." Bo Young said. "But you're really-!-" Seong Seop stopped. "What?" Bo Young asked. "You're unique, you standout in a crowd. Oh! The doctor's here." Seong Seop said. Everyone turned their attention to the doctor. "He is totally alright now. And a happy news is that he will soon be able do everything on his own." The doctor said. Everyone sighed relief. The doctor proceeded in his way. The woman started crying in relief. Yeon Joon cried happy tears. Bo Young thought: "It's a relief that he is alright." Bo Young then walked towards Yeon Joon and the woman. "Umm...I will leave now. Take care." Bo a Young said to both of them. She turned to walk but someone grabbed her hand. She got startled. She turned to find who it was. It was the woman. "Thank you." The woman thanked. Bo Young smiled and held her hand and told, "It's alright." She then started walking. "Bo Young wait!" Yeon Joon called. Bo Young stopped walking and asked him, "What?" "Let me see you out." Yeon Joon said. "No no it's alright. You stay here. Someone needs to be beside her." Bo Young said. "Yeah, you stay here. Me and Ha Sang will see her out." Seong Seop said. Yeon Joon agreed. Ha Sang didn't tell anything. "I'll take it as you agreed. Let's go." Seong seop said to Ha Sang. Bo Young waved to Yeon Joon and bowed to the woman. Yeon Joon waved back and the woman nodded. The three, started leaving towards the door.

"Thank god, Bo Young was there to help them. Seeing Yeon Joon like this today reminds me of the day his uncle got into the accident which caused this. His uncle was paralysed temporarily but even after getting treatments for more than 2 years, he wasn't cured. I'm relieved that he is finally recovering. His aunt and uncle were the only ones for Yeon Joon when his parents were away, his parents always considered their business as the first priority and not him. Even though he's living with his parents now, they are still so immersed in their business, I even doubt that they know whether he is a trainee in a big company. They ignored him most of the time, they never thought that he might've felt lonely and depressed. This happened since he was 10 years old." Seong Seop said without pausing. "Ohhhh, that's bad... but, wait. I think you just told something, you shouldn't have said." Bo Young said. "Yeah." Ha Sang said and glared at him. "Damn...these guys are gonna kill me. It slipped. Anyways, I don't think Bo Young would tell it to anyone either. Right?" Seong Seop asked. "Scoff, you believe someone who to just you talked for a few weeks? Unbelievable." Ha Sang said. "Yang Ha Sang, are you starting again? Well, I don't wanna waste my energy." Bo Young said. "You've been irritating me for a while." Ha Sang said. "Scoff, you've been getting on my nerves too. From the day I entered the school, you annoyed me to hell. I didn't want to talk you at all." Bo Young said. "I don't wanna interact with you either." Ha Sang said. "Tsk, Tsk, you guys are arguing again." Seong Seop said. They went out and waited for a cab. "How come I don't see any cab?" Bo Young said. "Yeah, Let me go get something to drink. There's a vending machine." Seong Seop said and went to the vending machine. "Okay." Bo Young said. Bo Young and Ha Sang was standing there awkwardly. Ha Sang then realised something. "Bo Young." Ha Sang called. Bo Young thought: "Wow, he is calling me by name. That's unbelievable. But why is this feeling..." "What?" She asked. "Is that thing yours?" Ha Sang asked. "What thing?" She asked. "The ornament which was hanging in your backpack." He said. "Oh that, yeah, it's mine. Why?" She asked. "Oh..it's nothing. But do you-" Ha Sang was interrupted by Seong Seop. "Here's the drinks." Seong Seop said holding three milk boxes in his hand. "Ohh! I want chocolate flavoured." Bo Young said. Ha Sang and Seong Seop looked at her. "What?" Bo Young asked and grabbed one chocolate milk box. "Nothing, here's your chocolate milk." Seong Seop said and gave the other one to Ha Sang. "And I have my normal milk." Seong Seop said. They all started drinking. "Hmmm! *Slurp* I see a cab!" Bo Young said and waved to the cab to notice her. "Alright, thanks for the chocolate milk. I will get going. Take care! Bye!" Bo Young said as she got inside the cab. Seong Seop waved. Ha Sang waved too, and he was shocked because of that. Ha Sang thought: "Huh? Why am I waving?" He then dropped down his hand embarrassed. They went back inside.

Bo Young was inside the cab, scrolling on her phone. She texted Seul Hee. "I'm going to home in a cab. Take a good rest and reach home safely. Will send a message after I reach the house." She sent and went back to the home page of the message app. There was an unknown number in the home page. And then she recognised who's number it was, because of the call history. Bo Young was thinking: "Ahhh, right. Finally I remember. This is Yeon Joon's number." And kept staring at the screen. She then diverted herself and started looking out as she was near her house. She reached her house. She paid the fare and left. She entered her house and plopped on the couch. "I should have been here soon. But I feel great though. I didn't think that thing was this much serious. Let's go freshen up and sleep. I am drenched in sweat." She said and freshened up to get to sleep. She was looking at her phone. She was hesitant in doing one thing. "I'm going to do it." She said and took her phone hand and started typing. "Take care." She texted and sent to Yeon Joon. "I've reached my home." She texted and sent to Seul Hee then. Seul Hee replied with a thumbs up emoji. She was getting ready for bed, *ting* at that moment, the notification rung.

"I will. Thank you so much. Did you reach your home?" He replied.

"Yeah I did. I'm gonna sleep. Continue with what you were doing." She replied.

"Alright. Bye." He replied.

Bo Young then put her phone aside and fell asleep.

The next morning.

She woke up late, everyone knows why. It was Saturday, even though she had another day left i.e. Sunday, she wanted sleep her heart out, after coming home yesterday. She woke up and freshened up. "*Yawn*, I couldn't fall asleep but had a great sleep. What shall we have for breakfast?" She said as she was walking towards her kitchen. She was opening and closing all the cupboards, going through the food stuffs inside. A bread pack caught her attention. She then decided with having sandwiches with fruit juice.

She finished with her cooking and sat down to have her breakfast. "Sigh, I'm bored. Yeah! I have to ask when is the visiting time in the hospital where Ji Ae's dad is admitted." She said as she took a bite of her sandwich. She took her phone and started texting in the group chat. "Hey! Good morning." Bo Young texted.

"Good morning? It's almost afternoon. When did you wake up?" Yu Ah asked. Ji Ae sent a laughing emoji.

"I woke up before 30 mins. Anyways, I wanted to ask this." Bo Young replied.

"What is it?" Ji Ae asked. Yu Ah asked the same thing.

"When is the visiting time at the hospital your dad is admitted? And where is the hospital?" Bo Young asked.

"Ohhh, in the morning it's from 9 to 11, in the afternoon it's 2 to 4 and in the evening it's 6 to 8. The hospital's name is *hospital's name*." Ji Ae informed.

"That hospital? And the timing is for everyday, right?" Yu Ah asked.

"Yeah.." Ji Ae said.

"Great. Thanks. How is your dad, Ji Ae?" Bo Young asked.

"He is doing fine, but no improvements. Did y'all have your breakfast?" Ji Ae replied.

"Yeah.." Yu Ah said.

"I'm having it now. What about you?" Bo Young asked.

"Yeah I had it long before." Ji Ae said.

"By the way, where are you now?" Yu Ah asked.

"I'm in the hospital. The doctor is inside. They told us to wait outside." Ji Ae said.

"Ohh, and Bo Young don't your parents give you allowances and stuff like that?" Yu Ah asked.

"I don't understand." Bo Young said.

"She is talking about your part time job." Ji Ae said.

"I don't...." Bo Young replied.

"You don't what?" Yu Ah asked.

"I don't receive any. Guys, something came up. Talk to you later. Bye!" Bo Young said and went offline.

"Sigh, they are coming to the topic again and again." Bo Young sighed. She then continued eating her breakfast. "I should leave to the hospital before 2. After visiting Ji Ae's dad, I can spend sometime outside. Maybe, visit Hee unnie-No, she will be busy. Forget it, I will just comeback to the house and watch something in TV." She said as she had her last bite of her sandwich and sip of her juice. She got out of the dining table, washed the dishes and sat in front of her TV. "I better go take a shower." She said as soon as she sat before the TV. She took a shower and came back. It was 1 in the afternoon. She started scrolling through her phone and sat on the couch. "Like Seong Seop said yesterday, why don't I give an audition? I should check if any agencies are opening auditions. No, no, let's check after the exams gets over." She said and started watching random videos. She passed time with that. "I should see where this hospital is located." She started searching it in the internet. "*Long gasp* Wow that is really far. Should I take a cab? That is going to be expensive. It's not really far though, it just a kilometre away, I guess this can be a kind of workout for me. I will just walk there." She said as she slid down from the couch, thinking of how tired it might be. "I better start getting ready." She said went to change her clothes. She wore a black shirt and white shorts, with black canvas, a lavender cap and a jacket which had phone, keys and the ornament inside the pocket. She went downstairs and stood before Yeon Joon's relatives house. She kept staring at the door and sighed in relief. "They are fine, you don't have to worry about them. We have other things to do too. She said to herself and went outside the apartment and started walking. "The workout session starts." She said sarcastically and started walking. "Bo Young!" Someone from the behind yelled weakly. She turned to look at. "Oh? Hyun Wook sunbae? What-!!!".....
