27 CHAPTER TWENTY SIX: MY PRECIOUS STONE

"Wow! Ma'am you look extremely ravishing" Larry said as he saw Melissa entering that morning.

"Thank you" she replied in dulcet.

Melissa couldn't get her usual sleep last night. She woke very early, this morning and called their beautician to come dress her up for work. When the beautician saw her call, she was surprised because it was so rare for Melissa to call her. It is usually Tyndall or Somaria.

Tyndall who heard the peaceful sound of a car maneuvering into their house stood up to check who it was this wee time of the morning. Then she was it was their beautician. She checked the ti!e and realised it was just few minutes after five. She then wondered what was going on. This made her step out. When she got to the living room she met her two sisters.

"Who called the beautician?" She asked not even remembering to greet.

"It's Melly" Somaria replied.

"Is there any occasion that I don't know of?" She asked surprised that Melissa of all people called the beautician.

"That's exactly what I just asked her" Somaria said with a suspicious look.

"No occasion just office" she said casually.

The two ladies looked at each other and burst into laughter.

"What's funny?" She asked sternly.

"My big sis want to look doozy for her cute guy" Tyndall teased.

"She couldn't wait for morning to see him" Somaria said grinning.

"I'm sure she didn't get enough sleep just for the thought of him" Tyndall said with a groovy look.

"And what's the meaning of this" she glared as if she is not enjoying it.

You don't need to go through all these stress. Drew will love anything you put on" Somaria said with a teasing voice and they both laughed.

"I don't know you two's bixwax" she hissed and turned to Kristy who already came in with her assistant.

She was listening to them and catching the whole message smiles. She knew her sisters were right because Melissa will never call her if she's not been pesteredbestristy, I need a light but nice makeup. I want a conspicuous dressing... "

"Conspicuous!!" They exclaimed

"This is serious Ria" Tyndall mocked.

"I tell you" Somaria laughed.

She had on a shinny black dress and bright sliver accessories. It really made her look so nice. As she was going to her office, she was called upon to come see something urgently which she quickly followed. When she got there she realised it was a false alarm and the person in charge was just overreacting to the little issue.

When she got to the office, she almost got a shock seeing Drew on her seat. She wasn't prepared to face him.

"What are you doing in my office?" She asked

"Why gussy up?" He asked smiling even though he knew the answer.

She didn't say anything she just stood there looking at him.

"I came to see how my baby is doing" he said, stands and walked to her.

Melissa hated how she is so silent but she's got nothing to say.

"You look so beautiful Melly" he whisper to her ears as he hugged her.

This was what she wanted to achieve when she took her time to dress up and it made her smile.

"Thank you" she said shyly.

Drew moved his lips to her neck and kissed it.

Melissa breathe in a chunk of air swiftly. "Drew stop" she managed to say.

His touch was giving her hard times.

"Easy baby" he said to her neck.

He then unhooked the normal big neck accessory she wore.

"What are..."

"Ssshhhhhh" he interrupted.

He placed another chain on her neck. It was a white gold chain which has a moon shaped diamond and a blue sapphire in it. It was really gorgeous.

When Melissa saw it she was really astonished.

"Drew" she called softly.

"Do you like it?" He asked in mellow.

Melissa nods. "It's so captivating" ahw said with interest as she held the pendant.

"I've held it for almost a year now" he said smiling. "Look at this precious stone" he pointed to the sapphire. "It is you in my Moon and I promise you, it is going nowhere. I'm going to lock you in my heart that no one will be able to get into it to rescue you" he said shifting his hands to her waist.

Melissa just drink herself in his sweet smell and melodic voice. She never expected such to happen to her. If she won't lie, she knew she liked Drew but didn't know he would return it so she always scold herself not to like him.

Drew Nuzzled her and kisses her neck. This made her short of breath.

"Why me of all ladies?" She asked when he leaved her neck to state at her

Drew snorts and smiled. "At first I which it wasn't you but my heart didn't listen to me. It was then later I realised God just gave me the beat woman in the universe" he said and kissed her lips.

Melissa placed her head on his chest and played with his neck.

"So you ever think I would come to tell you this one day?" He asked.

"No" she shook her head. "Although I wanted it but I always think you hate me" she said with a low voice.

Drew laughed. "Hate you? Wasn't I obvious enough?"

"I thought you do tolerate me because of your dad".

"My dad wouldn't have forced me into doing anything".he braces her hair.

"I know but I was looking for an excuse for why you relate with me without making myself think about love" she said shyly.

"And that means?" He looked into her eyes.

"What?"

"Say it. What's on your mind" he said in a very rich voice.

"I love you Drew" she said smiling sheepishly.

Loving the rhythm of her voice, he placed her on her table and gave her a thorough and hot sensational kiss. They were still in for their thing when the door opened suddenly. They quickly adjusted until they saw it was Joanna.

"How dare you enter my office without permission" she asked firmly.

Melissa was angry for three things. One for her entering her office rudely and two because she saw her with Drew and above all she stopped her beautiful moment.

Joanna didn't reply as her worst fear came to reality. She was looking at Drew who has his hands rapped round Melissa's waist. The reason she came was to drop a file but now she regret coming.

"I asked a question here" Melissa said with authority ringing in her voice.

"I'm so sorry ma" she dropped the file and ran out.

In seconds, they heard rustlings, like people rushing out.

"Drew let's go take a look" she said looking at her door.

"It's none other than Joan" he said nonchalant kissing her lips.

"She might hurt herself" she said in pity.

Drew gave a little surprised look. "We are talking about the girl that wants your man" he reminded.

"I know but I'm not disturbed since she can't get him" she smiled at him.

She pulled him along with her. Getting outside they saw small crowd gathered and calling Joanna's name but there was no reply. Melissa got scared.

"Why not call the ambulance?" She told one of them.

"Ma'am I don't think she needs one" Declan said with an angry look.

Melissa looked at him and they went through the crowd who gave way immediately. They were still holding hands. When they saw Joanna Melissa agreed with Declan.

"Tsh" she chuckled.

Drew being a doctor moved more closer to her and immediately she saw him she stood up and this rouses murmuring. Only Melissa smiled.

"What on earth is wrong with this girl?" Declan asked with disgust as she saw her stand up immediately Drew got there.

"Is this girl acting or what? Candy asked confused.

"That's exactly what she is doing. She should have just done it on the lower floor that won't alarm us not here" Vivian hissed angrily.

"Don't be mean. She might be I'll" Lara said with pity.

"Don't give me that. She is I'll but sat up quickly when the President went to her even though we've been calling her all the while" Barbara said with ire.

"You can't be so sure" Lara said.

"Don't try defend her. Everything is glaring. Why can't she even do her fainting at the President's office, so he could attend to her privately" Vivian said irascibly.

"Vivian. It's unfair" Lara called.

"You better don't get me vexed. I left the very thing I'm doing thinking to save a life and it all ended to be sham" she grimaced.

Drew looked at Joanna who tried to hold him but he excused his her hand.

"Why do you love hurting yourself?" He asked.

"No you are hurting me" she wept.

"I'm not".

"You are when you kissed that woman" she pointed at Melissa.

No one heard their conversation but knew she pointed at Melissa. They looked at Melissa who wore a vague look.

"She's my woman" he said with so much pride.

"No she seduced you" she disagreed shaking her head as tears flow down her eyes.

"Thats because I love to be seduced by her" he replied then stood up.

Joanna ran like a mad dog to Melissa. This caught everyone unaware. Vivian was still complaining that she got the attention she wanted couldn't believe Joanna's boldness. She pulled Melissa's hair violently that she screamed and everyone rushed and pulled her away.

"Let me be" she shouted.

"Are you out of your mind?" Melissa shouted panting.

Drew smiled at how beautiful she was still looking with her ruffled hair. Everyone wanted Drew to do something but he just stood there smiling and it baffled them.

"Sir are you enjoying this?" Larry asked.

Drew looked at him. "Hm" he nods still smiling.

"What exactly is going on between Melissa and her?" Vivian asked Candy.

"I'm not a seer to know" she replied not happy with the way her friend was humiliating herself.

Joanna rushed at her again and this time she held her chain and they struggles with it.

No one moved close because Drew signalled that they should let the two solve the issue themselves.

Joanna succeeded in removing the chain but Melissa didn't let go and this made her bite Melissa's hand badly.

"You want a fight? I'll give it to you" Melissa said angrily and gave her a huge nod.

Joanna left the chain and screamed with pain.

"Why did she want Melly's chain?" Candy asked.

"Who knows" Barbara replied focused on the two.

Melissa looked at everyone who gathered. She was ashamed that she is the center of attraction. As Joanna regained her strength, Melissa took to her heels secretly handing her chain to Lara as Joanna followed her.

"Let me see what's so important about this chain that they hurt each other for" Vivian said moving closer.

Lara was admiring the chain. "Beautiful isn't it?" She asked with a smile.

"Yes but I don't see any rean why Joanna wants to have it" Vivian said with a frown.

"I didn't know our President is this romantic" Barbara said with a smirk.

"I've always known" Candy said.

Lara turned the back of the pendant and it revealed. An engraved word D💝M.

"What does it mean?" She asked as if she never know.

"What else than Drew loves Melissa?" Candy replied plainly knowing she was pretending not to know.

Vivian didn't say another word. She just turned and left.

"What's wrong with her?" Lara asked astonished at her sudden attitude.

"Don't think I know" Barbara asked giving her a suspicious look.

"I knew it. I knew it's gonna be Melly who will win the cute doctor's heart" she said in jubilee.

"Why are you now jubilating?" Candy mocked.

"I'm so happy for her".

Melissa came back but Joanna was nowhere to be found.

"Where is she?" Nick asked.

"Don't know. Lost her amist the building" she said as she went to Lara to retrieve her neck chain.

"I'm so happy for you ma'am" Lara said happily and hugged her tight. Drew chuckled at the lady's happiness.

"Thank you Lara" Melissa said with a stiff smile looking at Drew who smirked.

Lara helped her put the chain back to her neck.

Drew ordered everyone back to their duties. As they leave Joanna showed. Melissa who was still scolding Drew for leaving her with the girl didn't see her.

Joanna rushed at her, tore her gown and then ran off. She knew she was in deep trouble. Lara who was super vexed ran after her and also her friend Candy because she knew Lara will finish her with her thick skin.

Melissa just to hide her exposed boobs quickly hugged Drew and buried her face on his chest.Drew carried her to his office straightway.
