Chapter 21: Meliodas vs Dad II

"Try not to be suprised dad." Blue flames covered my arms while some managed to reach the grass to spread a few steps around me and consume it slowly.

Those flames aren't related at all to my demon powers, they are flames created by the mana of this world and thanks to having a light orange core my flames were pretty strong too, hence their blue color.

It is truly unfortunate that I only have affinity with fire but it's okay since with Amaya who have space magic Im gonna have unlimited potentiel.

Father seeing that I finished my strechs and was ready made the first move by thrusting towards me in a blur.

[FIRE BALL]

I threw a fire ball in his direction that exploded when it made contact with the ground but my attempt to stop him from his tracks ended up failing since he side jumped to the right and continued coming towards me.

Willing more mana on my arms making the fire even denser, I exchanged a barrage of fire fists with my father making the grass behind me go on blue fire while the one behind him was burning in scarlet flames.

I felt that all of our fists were conneting with each other and each one of them was creating a shockwave making everyones hair pushed back. Seeing that this was leading me nowhere I suddently stopped attacking with my fists and back kicked my father in his guts but he seemed to anticipate it as he grabbed me from the ankle and due to my small body and light weight, he swinged me to the other side to hit me with full momentem on the ground.

When I was mid-air still in my father's grasp, I created a blue fire storm, my father as it's center. This forced him to let me go and protect himself from getting burnt, allowing me to escape from his grip and create some distance between the two of us, but I didn't even have time to regain my balance as my father was already behind me ready to strike.

He punched through the air aiming at my shoulder with full power, noticing him I did a back flip making the punch pass only a few centimenters above my face then my neck, right now I was litterraly seing his fist in front of me somehow in slow motion.

I hugged his arm with all of my strengh unabling him from using it anymore and I bicycle kicked him on the head, or at least I thought so since he actualy blocked the attack with his forearm.

We stayed in that position for a few seconds as if we were frozen, only for father to finally break the silence.

"HAHAHAHA, as expected of you Meliodas you truly are a monster when it come to fighting and physical abilities." He rubbed my head feeling proud that his son finally surpassed him.

"Well, I didn't salck off during these years you know. Let's not only talk about me, your level dad has increased a lot, you truly are unbealivable."

"Stop flatterling me or I might get embarassed Mel hahahaha." He rubbed under his nose with his index finger, puting his left hand on his hip.

"Rey... your son. Do you realize the kind of future he has? He's only seven but he's already stronger than a veteran B rank Adventurer," Vincent said, hardly able to contain his excitement.

My father scratched his head. "I know this is crazy. I thought that him awakening at the age five months was already terrifying but to think he would become this good of a fighter and proficent in fire magic."

"What? He awakened at five months old?!" Tabitha cried out, bolting up from her seat.

"Not only me but even my brother, he awakened at two or three years old. We are now approximatly on the same level." I explained, after all Arthur deserved his share of compliment too hehe.

"Oh come on man, we all know you are stronger than me at this point, but don't worry I will get to your level in no time." Arthur said.

My mother just nodded at this. "Yes, yes. I still remember the day they blew our house two times as if it was only yesterday."

Both my father and Vincent leaned back, sinking in their chair as they let out a synced sigh..

"Papa? Are yoo okay?" Eleanor poked Father in the cheek.

Laughing, Father picked her up off of Mother's lap, "Haha, yeah I'm okay princess."

Vincent got up from his chair now and looked seriously at us, arms stretched out on the table. "Rey, how about enrolling your sons in Xyrus Academy?"

"What? You can't be serious, right? They're only eight!" My father refuted, sitting up on his chair.

Tabitha chimeed in. "Rey, Alice, I think your children are more than capable of exceeding at Xyrus."

"I thought that only noble geniuses were allowed to attend Xyrus Academy?" Mother responded, concern etched into her face.

Excitedly, Vincent voiced out, "I can handle that! I happen to do a lot of business with the Director of Xyrus Academy so she'll be lenient in the enrollment process."

"B-but the school fees are much too extravagant for us to handle." Mother argued, still doubtful of the idea of sending us.

"Alice, that should be the least of your worries. We will be glad to pay for the fees. Those kids talent is immeasurable. Who knows what they can accomplish. Even if we don't pay, I'm sure he'd find nobles that would beg to sponsor him." Tabitha held Alice's hands in her own for reassurance.

"Ahem! Do you mind if I have a say in this?" People seemed to forget that the two kids future they were trying to decide were right here with them.

"I have just arrived back home today. Can I spend a bit of time with my family before I decide whether to go to school or not?" Art gave a meaningful gaze to Vincent.

"O-of course. I apologize. Haha. I guess I was too excited there for a moment."He just laughed weakly before sitting back down.

"Thank you." Arthur gave the Helstea family a smile.

"Vincent, I dont know if this academy is going to help me get stronger or not to be honest, but regardless of that I still want to go to this place, but not right now. Maybe three or four years from now, I have other plans for the next couple of years."

'School is the best place to make friends and become a social person, in my last life I didn't get the chance to continue it and make some friends, I was lonely. This time I have Art, Tess and Liz but I still want more friends as well as having fun. To be honest I want to have fun and laugh more than my need to make friends.'

"Of course, whenever you feel ready just let me know." He replied pushing back his glasses.

I turned my head to face my mother. "Mom, where do I sleep?"

"Oh yes! I almost forgot! You'll have your room with Arthur next to Eleanor's in the left wing. Come on, let's all go up now, it's getting late."

Amaya had already fallen asleep and my baby sister was nodding in and out of her dream world while we were discussing our future.

Today had been a long day. I woke up the next morning to my baby sister who came lo lead me to go down eat breakfast.

"Bwother your'e awake! Mama told me to tell you to come down with Arthur"

"Okay thank you Ellie, you are so sweet." I said as I patter her head wich she seemed to like since she started blushing a little and kissed her forehead..

"Oi sleeping bag wake up" I poked Arthur's side.

"All right! All right! Im up." He muttered.

"Come on we will go eat downstairs" I told him standing from the bed.

"Okay, go ahead I will take a shower and join you down." He said putting Sylvie on his head and went to the bathroom half asleep.

I truned back towards my sister, "Can you take me down to the kitchen?" I asked, holding out my hand.

"En!" She nods excitedly and while she hesitated for a second, she grabbed my hand and pulled me along. Oh my god she is so cute! And my weak point is cute creatures, I want to rub my face on her chubby cheeks so bad.

I'm met with a pleasant smell of bacon as we entered the kitchen. Inside, I spotted Tabitha and my mother cooking something as they chatted. Lilia was sitting down at the table already, her legs swinging, obviously waiting for breakfast.
