Ye Mu could still manage her emotions outside of the restaurant, for she still hadn't realized anything strange. But once she entered, her eyes that carried a trace of apprehension in them—trembled in surprise.

This restaurant seemed to be the one she had gone to last time. Mo Shen held her hand and walked forward, leading her to their table. This time, Ye Mu became even more astonished.

"Do you still remember this place?" Mo Shen raised an eyebrow as he carefully observed her expression. Her every expression and hint of emotion wasn't able to escape his eyes.

Ye Mu recollected her wandering gaze before she eventually made a sidelong glance at Mo Shen, "Yes, I remember."

More than simply remembering, perhaps she would never forget this place in her lifetime.

Mo Shen smiled and he didn't say anything anymore as he raised a hand to call for a server, so as to let Ye Mu order her meal first.

"Mrs Mo, please go ahead." Extremely courteous, the server handed the menu over to Ye Mu.

Mo Shen was a regular of this place. Although the server didn't know his identity, when he saw such an expensive suit on his person—coupled with that extraordinary temperament—he knew that Mo Shen wasn't someone ordinary.

Conflicted, Ye Mu looked at the menu—every dish looked so expensive. Struggling to decide, she finally raised her head to look at the server and asked quietly, "That, can the adults order the children's meals?"

In the entire restaurant, only the children's meals appeared to be the cheapest.

The corner of the server's mouth twitched and he replied with difficulty, "My apologies, Mrs Mo. You can't. However, if two children were to come along with you, we will give you the children's meals for free."

"Cough, cough…" Ye Mu choked abruptly just as she lifted a cup to drink a mouthful of water. Her complexion gradually reddened.

Looking at her panicky expression, Mo Shen's fingers tapped several times on the tip of his prominent nose to hide the smile on his thin lips. Browsing through the menu, he ordered a meal for Ye Mu.

If this situation happened seven or eight years ago, Ye Mu would definitely be comfortable coming to this place. But ever since her father passed away, she never went to eat at those expensive-looking places again. Thus, she felt strange once she entered this high-class restaurant.

"Do you want some music?" Mo Shen asked upon seeing her drink a mouthful of water while fully absorbed. His eyes focused on her as he inquired.

Ye Mu raised her head and stared with mixed feelings of surprise and astonishment—the expression on her face was adorable.

Without waiting for her reply, Mo Shen clapped his hands towards the band on the high platform in front of them. The band conductor understood and lifted his hands to conduct. Melodious music floated soothingly through the restaurant.

Initially, Ye Mu didn't realize what it was. But as the song approached the climax, her eyes brightened all of a sudden and she looked at Mo Shen, "Song of the Wanderers?"

Mo Shen remained quiet and watched Ye Mu as he sat elegantly on the opposite side. The entire hall was solemn for a few minutes and nothing else could be felt but his powerful and charismatic aura.

A single piece of music relaxed Ye Mu's body and mind.

This particular tune had a different meaning to her.

Such a tune reminded her of that difficult and heart-breaking night.

Gu Yiming's shadow was still before her eyes, tugging painfully on her heart.

There were some things that she obviously shouldn't think about anymore but they would pop out uncontrollably in her mind from time to time.

Mo Shen tapped his fingertips lightly on the table several times, always placing his gaze on Ye Mu. Profound yet remote. It was as though he could easily see through others but others couldn't figure him out as effortlessly as he could.

After the meal arrived, Mo Shen laid a napkin out for her and deliberately placed her favorite strawberry jam next to her hand. If he hadn't remembered wrongly, she seemed to like strawberries quite a lot.

Ye Mu wasn't very hungry so she didn't eat much.

Instead, she kept lowering her head to eat her ice-cream.

"Have you already thought of which company to sign a contract with?" Mo Shen suddenly opened his mouth and asked, breaking the silence around them.

Ye Mu was a little ashamed, "No… There isn't a company that wants me. How can I possibly sign with whichever company I want?"

Mo Shen seemed rather happy to hear her reply in this manner. Both hands clasped together and settled on the table before him.

His hands concealed the smile on his face, however, they couldn't hide the gentleness in that handsome pair of eyes, "In that case, would you let me introduce you to someone?"

"…"

Ye Mu blinked as she looked at Mo Shen, a thread of suspicion suffused in her tone, "Young Uncle knows people in the show business too?"

Mo Shen stared straight at her. He was clearly lying, but not a trace of his deceit could be seen from that perfect face of his, "No, I just happen to know a friend who started a management company."

"Which company?" Ye Mu couldn't help but inquire curiously. When they were in school, their teachers had introduced quite a few management companies to them.

"New Earth Media," Mo Shen threw these few words out nonchalantly.

Ye Mu was incredibly amazed, mouth gaping open, "Are you… talking about that company that the Mo family invested in?"

"Mhmm," Mo Shen agreed in a light tone.

Ye Mu looked suspiciously at Mo Shen. His surname also happened to be Mo; could he have some sort of relationship with the Mo family's enterprises?

In the entire city, everyone knew that Mo Corporation's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) had always been mysterious. Except for a few senior executives in the company with close dealings with him, almost no one had seen the real face of this CEO. Even though those paparazzi had thought of chasing this CEO, no one had truly photographed him before.

However, Ye Mu thought—for someone to possess so many assets—he must be over 50 years old. But what exactly was Mo Shen's relationship with this person?

"Young Uncle, what is your relationship with the boss of this company?" Ye Mu inquired again as she inched closer with curiosity.

"Friends, with a bit of family relation. However, we aren't close, but are able to communicate with a few words." Not the slightest trace of lies and jests could be seen from Mo Shen's serious expression.

Ye Mu nodded her head and her curiosity from a moment ago dissipated, "It's considered fairly remarkable to know CEO Mo in the city."

Hearing these words from her, Mo Shen's thin lips lifted subconsciously, his eyes gleamed as he probed her slightly, "Oh? What is so remarkable about it? Tell me."

Ye Mu leaned on the table with her hands supporting her face. She loved gossip the most, and since Mo Shen asked, she told him everything that she knew, "I heard that the boss of Mo Corporation is richer than Midas. His reputation overseas is also immense. With his support, this New Earth Media Company—that hasn't even been established for three years—had already signed so many big names under their banner. Their published works are also of premium quality. That company is basically a paradise that celebrities in the entertainment industry strive to get into."

"That does sound pretty good," Mo Shen nodded his head in agreement. He stared right into her eyes and said, "I'll make a call to ask tonight. Perhaps Xiao Mu can enter too."

"Me? Forget it, I can't." Ye Mu shrugged without confidence.

The waiter interrupted their conversation when he sent the drinks over.

When the waiter walked away, Mo Shen looked at her and said, "How can you say that when you haven't even tried yet?"

Ye Mu looked at Mo Shen and originally thought that he was joking.

But later that night… right as Ye Mu walked out of the bath. Mo Shen wrapped up a call and then earnestly informed Ye Mu, "New Earth permitted you to go over to them tomorrow."

"Let me go there to do what?" Ye Mu stood frozen just as she was patting her hair dry. She instantly deduced that Mo Shen was probably just on a phone call with New Earth.

"To let you sign the contract." Mo Shen lightly smiled at her. His expression carried traces of warmth amidst its solemness. He didn't seem to be joking.

Ye Mu couldn't regain her senses.

Did that mean that she was going to sign with New Earth now? She was going to sign a contract with that top media company in the entire country?

However, Ye Mu had no idea that this was just the beginning of a series of surprises.

On the next day, after Ye Mu had gone to New Earth to sign the contract, she found out that the manager assigned to her was also the best manager within the country—countless celebrities became popular under her.

For example… her idol Bai Xiao also became well-known under this manager.
