Ye Mu sat up from the sofa and yawned while raising her hand to brush her hair. She smiled lightly at Mo Shen, "I've eaten already."

"In the future, there's no need to wait for me. You should just rest earlier instead of waiting for my return." Mo Shen straightened his back and sat next to her.

Ye Mu maintained the smile on her face. She didn't reply to what he had said. When the grogginess in her head disappeared, she was now wide awake as she supported her chin with her hand and retorted with a question of her own, "Young Uncle, can I ask you a question?"

"What is it?" Mo Shen stared right at Ye Mu as he sat beside her—as if trying to attract people into his eyes. His chiseled features became clearer in Ye Mu's eyes since he was just sitting next to her.

Ever since Ye Mu and Mo Shen obtained their marriage certificates, they still hadn't had a proper discussion. Ye Mu also had doubts in her heart that she wanted to be clarified.

Ye Mu's pair of innocent eyes settled right on Mo Shen as she remembered the details of their last encounter, "When we previously met, weren't you the one who recognized me? Where exactly did we meet? I really can't remember."

She tried her best to recall her memories of the past, but she just couldn't remember where exactly she had seen Mo Shen.

No hint of emotions could be drawn out from Mo Shen as he listened to Ye Mu's words. But the smile on his face lingered, "It's normal that you don't remember it. It's been such a long time, after all."

Ye Mu looked at Mo Shen suspiciously, waiting for him to continue speaking.

"Do you want to hear about it?" Mo Shen raised his brow and looked at her for confirmation.

"Yes," Ye Mu nodded her head.

Mo Shen nodded and faintly smiled as he slowly spoke, "Around six years ago, I heard you play the cello at Champs-Élysées before. I wasn't in a very good mood that day, so after drinking some alcohol, I walked past you and accidentally knocked over your cello box…"

As Mo Shen talked, his thin lips curved upwards. The past that he recalled might be so hilarious that it made him smile, but he didn't elaborate on it.

Eventually, he decided to give up on telling her everything as he looked at her and said, "It's too complicated to talk about. Let's just forget about it."

Since she could no longer remember what had happened, there was no use if Mo Shen told her about it since the memories would still not belong to her.

"Oh…" Ye Mu was slightly disappointed when Mo Shen stopped talking. She was curious and wanted to talk about it more, but she didn't have the courage.

Mo Shen raised his hand and stroked her hair, deftly changing the subject, "When are you entering the set?"

"Tomorrow afternoon," Ye Mu replied nonplussed, her head hung low.

He was always so natural in stroking her hair—so natural that she was starting to feel suspicion that Mo Shen was someone she was well-acquainted with when she was young.

Mo Shen merely nodded his head in a mysterious manner that baffled Ye Mu. It was only until the second day, after she had entered the production team, did she finally understand why he had asked her that question.

On the first day of the shooting for 'Beacon Hero', almost all of the main actors were present. As Ye Mu was the least known figure out of everyone in the set, so no one had the time to look after her.

When several idol-material male actors arrived at the set, all the women in the production team started to clamor. Compared to this group of women, Ye Mu was calmer. She was constantly busy with her script, sitting at a corner quietly.

That was until someone from the set shouted, "Bai Xiao is here!"

Bai Xiao was her idol so obviously, she wasn't willing to miss her. Standing up hurriedly, she looked towards that crowd of people.

Bai Xiao's personality was cold.

She never really smiled even when going all the way to her own room.

Ye Mu was obstructing Xiao Bai's way as she was walking towards her own room. Lifting her sunglasses to look at the former, Xiao Bai said coolly, "Excuse me."

Ye Mu respectfully nodded at Bai Xiao and moved out of the way.

Her respectful attitude made Bai Xiao take a few more glances at her.

Today was Ye Mu's first day on the production team. She wasn't familiar with everyone yet, so she often sat alone in a corner. When the director notified Ye Mu to do her make-up, an SUV stopped at the set and two men lifted boxes of all sizes down from the vehicle.

It wasn't clear what the men had said to the director, but the director kept on nodding his head in satisfaction as he told the production assistant to evenly distribute everything in the boxes to everyone.

When the make-up artist walked into Ye Mu's dressing lounge, her face was full of smiles as she was holding her own cup of coffee. She couldn't help but praise Ye Mu for her thoughtfulness, "We've troubled Miss Ye too much. Today is your first day in the set, yet you've already gifted everyone such a precious type of coffee."

"Coffee?" Ye Mu was slightly taken aback. She hadn't sent any coffee…

Ye Mu was about to retort when she received Mo Shen's text message.

"Has the production team received the stuff?"

When she saw the text message, Ye Mu instantly realized that this was Mo Shen's doing. She closed her gaping mouth and her fingers tapped swiftly on her phone's display, "Yes, we got it. Why did you do this? The coffee you sent can't be cheap, right?"

When the message was sent, Ye Mu couldn't help but glance at the coffee logo in the make-up artist's hand. She recognized that logo for it was the logo of what was arguably the most expensive coffee in the entire city.

Ye Mu gnashed her teeth and shifted her eyes away, allowing the make-up artist to work on her face to the best of her abilities.

After a while, the make-up artist finally stopped and spoke politely to Ye Mu, "That's it. I'm done. Miss Ye, you can change your clothes now."

"Thank you." Ye Mu looked at herself in the mirror as she nodded in satisfaction. Then, she stood up and changed into her costume before entering the filming set.

Xiao Bai also arrived at the set a few moments later.

"Both of you will be in an estrangement scene later, remember to do your best and grasp it well…" The director was holding the script as he explained the scenario of what was about to happen to the two of them. Then, he looked towards Bai Xiao and added, "Bai Xiao, later on, remember that the freeze-frame will be at the instant that you raise your hand to slap."

Bai Xiao remained expressionless as she nodded her head, "I know. Let's start."

The director nodded and quickly sat in front of the camera. Bai Xiao was wearing a blue cheongsam as she stood on the lawn. Ye Mu followed rapidly, attempting to call her a few times, "Liu'er, wait for me!"

"What are you still calling me for?!"

Bai Xiao whipped her head back to stare at Ye Mu, stepping into her role rather quickly and her face was full of questioning. Bai Xiao's indifferent expression was nowhere to be seen. She looked agitated and wronged, "How could you do this?"

Ye Mu was stunned for a moment and then, hurriedly composed herself to answer, "I'm only making plans for my own life. How am I wrong? It was Yang Liuqing who let me down, never had I wronged him. If I can't marry him, then why can't I marry someone else?"

"I didn't say that you can't marry someone else! But I won't let you marry a bandit!" Bai Xiao gnashed her teeth, fire shooting out of her eyes.

"Don't look down on bandits. Isn't your father one as well?" Ye Mu sneered, suddenly blurting out these words by accident.

Bai Xiao raised her palm, "You…"

"Good! Cut!"

The director stared at the image captured by the camera as he signaled for the cut, "Bai Xiao, you may leave. We will be filming Ye Mu's close-up so you aren't in the scene."

Bai Xiao nodded her head.

As she stepped away, she cast a glance at Ye Mu and said nonchalantly, "You're pretty good, newcomer."

Ye Mu looked at Bai Xiao, a little stunned. Was Bai Xiao complimenting her?

"Get ready," Ma Yongchun reminded Ye Mu.

Ye Mu nodded her head as she quickly changed her state of mind.

As the camera zoomed in on Ye Mu, the image of her biting her lips and the struggle visible on her face was all captured by the lens.

The expression on her face was subtle but it carried a heart-clenching force.

"Hit me if you want to… I still owe you a slap from before," Ye Mu mocked herself with a laugh.

Her acting skills were improving in real-time.
