17 Kissed By Force

Ye Mu was still in a daze even after she had signed the contract with New Earth Media. Manager Ji An extended her hand to Ye Mu and politely said, "Miss Ye must perform well in the future. Don't let me down."

Ji An was a rather beautiful woman—her skin was fair and as cool as snow. Moreover, once she smiled and lifted her lips at the corner of her mouth. She looked especially charming. Ye Mu had heard before that Ji An used to be an actor in the past, but when she was done with the industry, she threw herself behind the scenes.

"Thank you, Sister Ji. You can just call me by my name," Ye Mu said respectfully as she clasped Ji An's hand in a hurry.

Ji An's eyes cruised over Ye Mu from head to toe as she nodded her head in satisfaction, "All right, you can tell me directly if you need anything in the future. Besides that, I will assist you in arranging your work."

"Okay, thank you." At this moment, Ye Mu was at a loss for words. She couldn't say anything else aside from 'Thank you'.

Ji An nodded. Gathering the documents from the table, she was about to report back to the company when she suddenly turned back. Then, she inquired in a low voice, "By the way, do you have a boyfriend?"

Ye Mu understood the rules of the entertainment industry. She looked at Ji An with a particularly candid expression before saying, "I'm married."

"Married already?" Ji An frowned. Observing Ye Mu's delicate appearance, her expression changed into shock. She didn't expect that a female student who had just recently graduated would already be married.

"I understand."

"I will ask the company about your situation again." Ji An's eyebrows remained wrinkled.

She hadn't expected that the company would give her an order to take a married girl under her wings. Taking a deep breath, she calmly reminded Ye Mu, "Remember, if someone asks this question again, later on, you just have to reply that you don't have a boyfriend. Don't tell them about your marriage, do you understand?"

Ye Mu nodded her head, "I understand."

This was originally a secret marriage between Mo Shen and her, so she knew what to do.

When the contract was settled, Ye Mu rushed to her dressing in the film set so that she could change her clothes. With someone at the front urging her to hurry up, she felt quite anxious as she rapidly took off her coat just as she entered the dressing room.

Unaware that somebody else was in the dressing room, she flung her clothes towards a chair in passing. Soon after, a muffled sound drifted over and the creaking of a chair rang out from the back.

Ye Mu was in the middle of unbuttoning her clothes when she felt something amiss. She turned her head slightly to the direction of the noise and there—she saw a half-naked man on her rattan chair. The coat that she had hurled aside earlier had covered the man's body.

Ye Mu couldn't help but scream in shock, "Ah…"

The man still looked sleepy as there was a lazy look on his face. Straightening his body on the chair, he glanced at Ye Mu and he didn't seem to be in a panic. He didn't interrupt her at all as she shouted.

"Who are you… What are you doing here?" Ye Mu stared fixedly at that man. She was secretly glad that she had only removed her coat.

The man stared at Ye Mu. He did not answer her question. Instead, he laughed, "I know you."

"You're the actress acting as Song Qiniang. I watched your performance yesterday. Not bad."

Ye Mu did not recognize this actor in front of her at all. She wasn't distracted by his smooth changing of topics as she retorted, "Don't you know how to ask for permission before entering someone else's dressing room?"

The man still wasn't wearing clothing on his upper body. He stood up straight and his large statute gave people a strong sense of pressure—his abs were exceptionally taut and defined clearly enough that it made others want to look at them a few more times. He stretched his arms towards Ye Mu, but then dropped them to his sides, "I'm only here for a guest appearance. The director gave me permission to rest here for a while."

Ye Mu watched this man suspiciously. Feeling the constant ridicule in the man's eyes, she averted hers, "You should just go ahead and put on a shirt."

The man wriggled his brows. With his playful disposition, how could it be easy for him to give up on making fun of her?

"I didn't expose anything dangerous… why are you that afraid to look at me?" He said as he approached her step by step in his flip-flops.

Ye Mu retrieved her costume. She didn't stand there and wait for the man to approach her as she quickly went for the door after retrieving her clothes.

Ye Mu had no time to waste with this type of person.

She was still in a rush to complete her scenes today.

After getting dressed, Ye Mu entered the church they were shooting in today. Subsequently, that man—who had been in the changing room just now—also entered the set while wearing a traditional long, cyan robe.

He looked unexpectedly honorable when wearing such clothes.

But ever since this man entered the film set, the atmosphere became a little different.

Everyone was abnormally polite to him, as though they were afraid that they would offend him if they weren't careful.

"Ye Mu, there will be a rivalry scene between you and Song Zhuochen later. Take another look at the script," Ma Yongchun was checking the position of the camera, not forgetting to remind Ye Mu of her job as she just recently arrived on the set.

Song Zhuochen?! Who was Song Zhuochen?

"Oh, how unfortunate… It seems that I'll be working with you." That man walked over and bent down helplessly, his handsome face leaning very close to Ye Mu.

Ye Mu wrinkled her forehead and her expression remained the same, but she couldn't help feeling surprised on the inside. The man in front of her was that legendary Song Zhuochen who had been developing his career abroad and recently seized the Actor of the Year?

She really hadn't recognized him.

Ye Mu merely nodded towards him without saying anything.

Ye Mu initially thought that Song Zhuochen was at least an Emperor-Grade Film Actor, so his acting skills must be fantastic. But when they started acting, she realized that she had expected too much from him.

"Return to your positions…"

The director allowed the cinematographer to push the camera towards Ye Mu, reminding the staff behind her, "Someone, go remove that bottle of mineral water!"

Once everything was settled, Ma Yongchun was finally a bit satisfied and stared seriously at Ye Mu's reactions in the camera.

The staff held the clapboard up to the side of Ye Mu and Song Zhuochen's faces.

After moving it away, Ye Mu quickly entered her acting state.

Her long lashes lifted to look at Song Zhuochen, "Mr Jiang, everything has been settled now. You're a scholar, so you should see things more clearly than me—a young married woman. Why are you so muddle-headed?"

Song Zhuochen did not answer.

The corner of his mouth lifted in a mocking smile as he looked at Ye Mu closely. Ye Mu's originally strict demeanor faltered as he stared. He kept staring at her while smiling, causing her expression to change.

Just when the director was about to shout 'Cut'… Song Zhuochen suddenly spoke up, "Heh heh, other people laugh at me for being too crazy, but I am laughing at them for being too blind. I'm not the one who is muddled-headed—but you people…"

Ye Mu's wrinkled forehead remained taut. She looked somewhat flustered as she opened her mouth, "You…"

What was wrong with this person? He wasn't following the script at all!

Just as Ye Mu was going to turn around to look at the director, Song Zhuochen's hand suddenly pressed on her waist and his lips swooped down.

Everything happened so suddenly that Ye Mu blanked out. But afterwards, she raised her hand and gave Song Zhuochen a tight slap on his face without the slightest hesitation.

"Shameless!" Ye Mu lifted her hand to scrub at her mouth, looking at Song Zhuochen with eyes full of wrath.

She stared at Song Zhuochen with eyes full of wrath.

This one slap from Ye Mu astonished all of the audience.

Song Zhuochen leaned his face to the side, and he turned back with his cheek slightly red. He laughed without any trace of anger.

Raising his hand to scrub the corner of his mouth, he looked towards the director and said, "Director, I think that a direct kiss would be better to emphasize that Jiang Shen really covets Song Qiniang."

As dumbstruck as the audience, Ma Yongchun quickly regained his senses as he nodded his head hurriedly in agreement, "Very good, that was very good acting…"

Song Zhuochen's suggestion seemed to be better than what was written in the script, so Ma Yongchun agreed implicitly.

In the entire entertainment circle, who didn't know that Song Zhuochen was an actor famous for acting according to his emotions? The fact that Song Zhuochen was willing to make a guest appearance on this drama alone—was sincere enough to show that he had given Ma Yongchun enough respect.

Considering this, he also needed to compromise for Song Zhuochen's sake to some degree.

"Okay, we'll rest for a while." An order from the director came and the crowd started to get busy again.

When Song Zhuochen turned around to look, Ye Mu was nowhere to be found.
