2 The accident

Elizabeth's Pov:

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining through my eyes.

I took a deep breath and went outside to the garden. We had a big garden with a lot of flowers.

While I was watering the flowers, I heard someone calling my name. I looked back to see who was calling me?

It was Clare, my new neighbour. What does she want? I questioned myself. I don't like her, especially after what she said during Alice's party, Accusing my husband to be a cheater. How can he cheat on me? That's so ridiculous. I tried to smile lovely and face her.

Yes, what made you came all the way here? I asked her

She ran to me and jumped to hug me. What does she think she is doing? I tried to free myself from her arms, but she started speaking what made me froze to my spot.

"Oh! My loving Beth. Did you saw what I sent you yesterday night? I am also shocked myself. I don't know how to explain it in words... I don't even dare to say it myself.

I am thinking your husband is cheating on you for real. You really need to divorce him now. You deserve someone better than him.

I am telling you this because I care about you" She stood there crying fake. I knew she liked my husband, but what if what she is saying is true? I mean, he is a man after all, isn't he?.

My head was full of questions and worries. I am actually not like this. What is going to happen to me? And what about Alice?

Wait, what if Clare is planning something for me. She knows I hate her, and she hates me too. There is no way I will believe her until I see it for myself.

After all this, I had only one question. How did you know that Jonathan was cheating on me? As his wife, I didn't even see any traces of him being suspicious.

"After the party, I saw him being too close to different women, and that made me suspicious of him. So after the party, I followed him and saw him with another woman. I took a photo to show you his true face because you are like a sister to me"

LEAVE ME!! RIGHT NOW! I don't want to hear any of your lies. Do you think showing a picture can separate us? Before I kill you myself, leave my house and don't ever come back! I AM DONE WITH YOU!!

I throw the phone at her, and she leaves after picking it up with a furious face.

I stood up and shook my head. No, I need to see him now. I owe him an explanation before I make a decision. I took my car keys and went direct to his office.

When I arrived at his office, his secretary came to me

"Hi Mrs Jonathan, how may I help you?"

Where is he?

"Oh, he is in a ... "

Save it! I need to see him now.

I open his office door and see that he was in a meeting.

He saw me and knew something was wrong, so he dismissed his meeting and, asks me what was wrong.

Where were you last night?

" What do you mean? honey"

After the party ended, you left and didn't come home last night without telling me anything.

"Ohh, I am very sorry, it was urgent. I had to go to the office."

So it was true?

"What do you mean by that?"

"I don't understand you. What do you mean? can you explain to me?"

" Yes, that is where we had the meeting."

She slaps him in the face. You could see he was still confused.

After all I gave you, this is how you repay me back in the end?

I thought I was the only one for you.

"Yes, you are, baby. What are you talking about?"

How can you still deny everything? You cheated on me.

I am finished with you and your lies. It is over between us.

And she goes out of the office, slamming the door very hard.

Jonathan froze there, standing and questioning himself what he could have done wrong. How could she easily say that it was finished between them when she didn't even explain anything to him and did she forget that they have a child together?

Jonathan's Pov

I rushed to my car and started the engine. I drove as fast as I could.

It was already dark, and it was raining.

I am so mad that she didn't even talk properly. How could she leave like that?

My head was full of questions that I couldn't answer myself.

My mind was focusing on what just happened until a call interrupted me.

I look at my phone and saw that it was Alice, but when I tried to look back at the road, I saw a huge truck suddenly coming from the right driving fast.

I noticed that the truck saw me, he drove faster and faster, and when I tried to avoid it, it was already too late.

I saw images of my family, friends and my past like clips speeded up in my head. Tears were falling down my cheeks. I have unbearable pain in my body, and all I could hear after that was the crashing and people yelling and screaming for help.

*Third Pov:

"Call an ambulance fast! These two people are injured very badly." said the man that came out of his car.

A woman picks up her phone and calls 911

"Hello, what is your emergency?"

"An accident happened on a high street road, and two drivers are in the car. There is blood! PLEASE HURRY UP!

"The ambulance will come in 5 minutes and try not to move the bodies except if they are in a dangerous place. Don't end the call until the ambulance arrives"

"Oke, we will do that."

The ambulance arrived and took them to the hospital.

While they were in the ER, the nurse called their families and told them to come as fast as possible.

Alice's Pov:

I see an unknown number calling me... I pick up.

"Hello, are you the family of Jonathan?"

Yes, I am his daughter. What happened?

"Unfortunately have to come here as fast as possible. your father is in the ER. He had an accident on his way."

Alice rushes to the hospital without calling her mother because she wasn't in her right mind.

Alice runs to the receptions and asks in what room her father is.

The lady by the reception told her that he was on the second floor in room 4.

She looks through the sash door and sees her father lying on the bed and the doctors were preparing to operate on him.

She falls to the ground and begins to cry.

How did this happen to my father?

She picks up her phone and calls her mother while her hands were shaking.

Mom,... Alice starts to cry even louder.

"Oh my dear, what happened? Why are you crying?"

Dad got in an accident ....and now he is in the hospital, cries, Alice.

"Your father will be fine." says her mother in a harsh way

After hearing about Jonathan, her mother cut the call.

And Alice thought her mother was running to the hospital. Unfortunately, she didn't know about the fight that happened between them.

Is everything going to be as it used to be, or does Alice need to choose between one of them?
