I quickly made myself ready after Emma left and said bye to Mia.

"Be careful," says Mia.

I will. I say while giving her a hug.

Will you be alright?

"Yeah, don't worry about me," she says.

When will you go back to work? 

It was a while ago you went there.

"I quit the job," says Mia, not looking me in the eyes.

What?! Why didn't you tell me that?

Was it because of me?

Did you quit because of me?

"No, it wasn't your fault," she says.

I know it was hard for you to find a job.

Was it because you didn't go because you took care of me? 

I should have known.

You didn't go to work for so long, worrying about me.

I should have told you to go when you told me you were staying with me.

"Hey, please, don't blame yourself. I will find another job," Mia says.

Why don't I ask if you can work in our company?
