10 Entry Ten

Today we had a party. It was beautiful, I wore a gorgeous blue gown that made me feel like a princess for the night. Every single one of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor’s business partners was there. I was even allowed to talk to them this time.

I met this particular couple that talked to me as if I was a princess. They showered me with compliments, from the way my hair was styled to how my personality was.

I’ve never met anyone who genuinely seemed to be interested in me before, not even Gared. Most of the time I knew he would only talk to me when we were forced to, because of our parents.

Tonight made me feel as if I have a chance in being happy. The couple also asked us if we’ve met with the pastor who will be marrying us. You might be wondering why we would have to meet them beforehand, Notebook.

You see, in our religion, before marriage, the couple would have to talk with the pastor who will be in charge of marrying them first before the wedding day. I’m not sure what we would talk about. No one has given me a hint of what we were supposed to talk with the pastor about. I am excited about it though.

I’m excited for any chance to talk with someone, usually, I have to stay inside and avoid even looking at others, that’s why tonight has been so amazing. I got to meet so many new people as well, from Gared’s side of the guests.

That’s the side of the lovely couple I met. After telling them we don’t even have a pastor yet, they immediately gave us the number of the one from their church that they believed would be an amazing fit for us. I don’t understand though how a person would be an amazing fit. I guess I’ll just have to wait till I meet him.

I’ve already saved his number and will be calling tomorrow for a meeting. Mrs. Taylor is rushing me to get everything done as soon as possible. I still have so much to do and my checklist is still not even half done.

I’m taking it one step at a time for now. The next step is calling that pastor, first thing tomorrow morning. Goodnight for now, Notebook. I feel sleepy, today has been draining. I’ve never talked to so many people before. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were even smiling the whole night.
