1 Prologue

In a small apartment, an elderly man can be seen sitting in front of a computer screen and typing away at the keyboard.Occasionally, inaudible murmurs can be heard from him.

"Its time."

"All my preparations are complete. I can finally do it."

"Mother, Father! I am coming to find you at last".

Outside, the sky is the darkest black only illuminated by the thousands of stars shining resplendently. The only thing unusual is than there are eight very brights stars very near to each other, so near that they appear as though they are a single big star to the naked eye. As big as the Moon. Today is a very special day in that it is called as the "Convergence of the Nine Heavens" by all the astronomers. It means that all the Nine Planets in the Solar System form a straight line with the Sun for a few seconds and the Earth bears Gravitational Pull that the Sun exerts on all the Nine Planets for those few seconds. This little Gravitational Pull is enough to completely rip apart the Earth into pieces but thankfully the Gravitational Pull exerted by the Nine Planets on Sun also converge onto the Earth to stabilize the Earth. Due to the extreme forces, the Space around Earth will destabilize for the duration of the cosmic event which is very likely to create small wormholes, the study of which can raise the technology of Earth by leaps and bounds. This Cosmic event is speculated to occur only every 9 million years. All the countries initiated a lockdown for tonight to study the phenomenon uninterrupted.

The elderly man rose from his sitting position and went near the window. He dialed a number in his cellphone.

*tring**tring*

"Hello, this is Vijay. I am unavailable at this moment. Please leave a message."

*beep*

"Hey kiddo! Its me Pops. I know that you are busy with the phenomenon but this is last time you are gonna hear from me. I know what I am doing is very selfish but I hope you understand as time passes and find it with in yourself to forgive me. By the time you listen to this message, I will be dead. I have left something for you at my apartment. Take good care of my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. God bless you."

*beep*

Then throws the phone on the floor and picks up a gun resting on the side table with his left hand and touches the emerald ring on his right middle finger to his chest directly in front of his heart. He puts the barrel of the gun against his temple while looking directly at the Convergence of the Nine Heavens as though waiting for something. After seemingly for a long time, a quick shooting star crosses the sky directly cutting across the brightness.

The old man finally moves.

" I want to go to Mor-cough-cough-ar!"*shoot*

The lifeless body of the old man falls to the floor.

High up in the sky, the Nine planets arrange themselves in a straight line, and the whole world plunges into darkness!

Back in the old man's apartment, a mysterious emerald light flashes from the ring on the man's finger and covers his whole body for a few seconds.

Then all is peaceful. Nobody noticed that, at the very moment in almost invisible ray shot from the earth into the outer space.

Thus begins the glorious history of the Mediocre Master. The legend of the Nine Heavens.
