Everyone stands around the campfire, silent in a brief pause from expressing their Mother's Day wishes. Finally, Rachel raises her mug next.

"My mother is a wonderful woman. She's a head librarian in London. At least, I hope she still is." Rachel breaks and looks at the ground. "When life was particularly challenging, she would remind me of the story of the elephant and the hummingbird.

"One day, an elephant came upon a hummingbird lying on its back on the branch of a tall tree, its tiny feet in the air.

'What are you doing?' the elephant asked.

The hummingbird replied, 'I heard that the sky might fall today, and so I'm ready to help hold it up, should it fall.'

The elephant snorted a cruel laugh. 'Do you really think those tiny feet could help hold up the sky?'

The hummingbird kept his feet up in the air, intent on his purpose. 'Not alone. But each must do a part. And this is what I can do.'"

The campfire flares, and Reilly moves to check it. He pushes some of the logs apart, and the fire stops smoking.

Lopez stands and holds his cup up, smiling. "I didn't have a good relationship with my mother. She didn't show me love, and I don't mind. So, Happy Mother's Day, Nora. You're a good lady."

"Thank you, dear," Nora says.
