Chapter thirty-Nine-- The truth

Ashton's POV.

"Ella..."

"Don't! " her friend barked. Swallowing hard like he was trying not to say or do something bad like something was holding him back. "Thank her later for still saving your ass after what you did. And don't you dare show her your face again. She has been through enough." her friend yelled pointing a finger at me.

"Give her some time" Mia interjected stopping me from running after her.

Mia walked toward the guy which I can't quite make out his name and said something.

"Come on I will drop you home" I returned from dropping Mia to find Jack inside his car waiting did me.

"Hey man," he greeted, stepping down from the car, and walking with me inside the house.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Drink?" that was the only thing he said and I understand him. He didn't have to add anything, no long explanations needed. The important thing was, he was here!
