2 chapter one

Tammy woke up flabbergasted, even thou she easily fell asleep after the dream, it still shook her how real the whole thing was, she slowly got out of the bed without even fully opening her eyes going to the bathroom, today was her day off, but just like clock work Tammy always woke up at the same time everyday even when she didn't need to, she opened tap from the vanity washing her face with the cold liquid to fully wake up and took the light blue soft towel to wipe her face, she looked straight in her hazel orbs, she looked tired with dark circles under her eyes but it did not bother her anymore, after working two jobs getting a rest was the least of her worries

She went to put the towel down, but it got stuck on something, and she pulled the string that was stuck on a diamond and she stilled for a second, she forgot how to breath, she thought her eyes were deceiving her, it is not real, she kept chanting with her eyes closed but as soon as she opened her eyes the ring was still there mocking her with it's beauty, she never owned anything that nice in her entire life, but she knew it must have cost a fortune so who was stupid enough to prank her with such an expensive thing, and that's when the thought of her rich best friend materialized, she couldn't could she? She wondered, but she's been friends with Mel for years, and she never did something like this, but she still had to ask, so she went to her bedroom picking her mobile phone to call the sleeping beauty, and she picked up the call after the fourth ring

"What do you want?" Melissa groaned into the phone sleepily

"Your latest prank was not funny at all please stop acting like a child and wasting money on such things because it was not funny I almost had a heart attack"  Tammy shouted although she was not sure if Mel was responsible for it, but she hoped she was otherwise she will be the crazy person who actually married a person in her dream, how do you explain it to people, how do you tell people you don't even know the person who put the ring on your finger

"I'm too sleepy for this shit, and next time try shouting or even waking me up after a night shift at noon you bitch" growled Mel before ending the call, making Tammy feel guilty for waking her up but in her defense she just woke up with a strange ring in her left finger and had no explanation except the dream she had last night but that was not even logical, dream don't just materialize in real life otherwise her parents would still be alive, and she wouldn't have the shitty childhood she had, this stupid ring was driving her crazy and since she only had one friend who was tired two rooms down from her bedroom she didn't have a choice but to go complain to her, selfish yes but Mel had done worse waking her up just to tell her about her one night stand when she knew she worked nights at the hospital

She strolled down the hallway slowly, she was already feeling guilty about waking her tired friend, but she sucked it up opening the beige door with shivering hands, she hated being inconsiderate but this situation was beyond her she needed her friend, and she hoped she won't be too upset as she looked at the sleeping beauty covered in a pink duvet, Mel was a girly girly and as you could have guest her favorite color is pink

"Mel look" she said, putting the silver diamond ring in her face, Mel was from a rich family but decided to come live with her after her parents death to help pay the bills, but that was not the only reason, Mel's father married a girl three years older than Mel and that made her hysterical for months and planning her father's murder each night before bed, but Tammy managed to calm her down and told her to accept the marriage and forgive the only family she had left and that night Mel realized her mistake and forgave her father, but she still didn't acknowledge the 'black widow' that's what she called her because she was sure she's going to kill her father soon but ten years later their still married but Mel still keeping an eye on that gold digging whore who  married a man in his sixties

"Twenty one currant uncut diamond, pure silver ring made in 2017 in Peru, and they were only five of this made and only three still in circulating"  Said Mel in one breath, Melissa loved diamonds like most woman she believed it's a girl best friend but in reality I was the best friend diamond comes and goes, but I will always be the best friend. She knew her stuff she didn't want some  loser coming to take chances on her with fake gifts

"What? Shouted Tammy in horror, she remembered how Mel was going on and on about that ring years back in medical school and how the ring was priceless

"You heard right, where did you find it? You know how I begged my father to buy it for me, but he told to ask my husband when he knew  I didn't even have a boyfriend at that time, and that's when I promise to bury him in a box of tomatoes for denying me that ring! 

"I thought you put it on my finger to prank me" said Tammy still narrowing her eyes at her, yes it was possible that Mel was not involved but her other reality was hard to swallow

"why would I do that when I can't even afford it myself, even if I can all the rings were sold within hours after the owner put them online" she rolled her blue eyes and for a person who was sleeping minutes before she looked wide awake after seeing the diamond

"Mel, I'm terrified, I had a dream yesterday that I got married and woke up with this gigantic ring" I whined sitting next to her on the bed

"I know I just woke up, but you sound crazy, you know dream are just figment of your imagination right?" said Mel raising her perfectly trimmed brow

"I'm trying to  make sense of it all Mel, but I have no other explanation" groaned Tammy leaning on the headboard

"let me try it on" said Mel taking her small soft hand into Tammy's one trying to pull the ring off, but it didn't budge, she tried a couple of times more but it still didn't budge she huffed folding her arms' pouting, and Tammy really wanted to laugh if the situation was not this serious

"let me" said Tammy also trying to take it off, but it still didn't budge, she huffed frustrated going to Mel bathroom and rubbing soap on the finger to make slippery, but it didn't even move an inch, she even tried baby oil in desperation but the ring felt it was embedded in her finger 

"What are you doing in there? Although Mel knew the answer she wanted to console her crazy friend

"The fucken thing won't come off" yelled Tammy frustrated, and her finger turning purple leading to Mel separating her hand from her finger

"It's okay Tam, just tell me what happened, last night"

" it's sound a little crazy I know, I even feel crazy saying it to you, but last night I had a dream, I got married to some guy named Dean and when I woke up this morning I had the ring on my finger and since you're the only one who likes to prank me, I thought you did this to scare me shit less like when we were at the medical school when you told me the cadaver was still alive and you saw it move" said Tammy frustrated and Mel lips stretched into a smile making Tammy glare at her, and she couldn't help but laugh because it was funny seeing her run to the teacher that was holding a sharp scalpel screaming his alive, his alive

"IT was not funny then, and it's not funny now Mel and I still haven't forgiven you for that" Said Tammy trying to glare at her laughing friend but failed as her lips also stretched into a smile remembering that day

"Mel stop playing now, how do I deal with the situation?"

"Dream of a divorce and the ring will disappear the next morning" said Mel with a straight face causing Tammy to groan

"my life sucks"
