51 A Beastman?

Carl looked up to see Jessica, who was standing behind him while looking at what he was cooking. After looking inside the pot, Jessica looked towards Carl, and when her eyes met his, she gave him a friendly smile, just to see the guy's face go red all of a sudden and look as if the whole body's blood suddenly rushed to his face, which was more visible because of his extremely pale skin.

 Seeing him all embarrassed, Jessica wanted to laugh out loud, but she controlled her laugh so as not to make him feel nervous, so he definitely got asked the same question again. This time Carl instantly nodded his head, and without waiting, Jessica used her hands to grab his hairs and finally secure them in a half bun. While doing so, she complimented his hairs just to see his lion ears twitch cutely.

Jessica, who avoided touching his ears even by any kind of mistake, instantly felt an urge to touch them, but she stopped her hand because she was told that touching a male's ear is like a provocation, and since they are erogenous zones, they can't be touched by anyone.

To distract herself, she looked at his back, which was covered by a cape, so she asked him if he would remove his cape because it was already very hot. Carl, understanding her words, instantly made his cape disappear, just to leave his muscular bare back in sight when Jessica saw four concentric rings between his shoulder blades.

Jessica let go of Carl's hair, withdrew her gaze from his back, and again got seated beside Levi. Carl, who was barbecuing the meat, took a glance just to see Levi having a high ponytail too, as he was sitting liseurly while leaning his head on Jessica's shoulder, who was feeding him and herself berries. Seeing this scene, Carl's heart felt mellow, but that feeling soon disappeared as he looked away from that happy family scene with a bitter smile as he rotated the meat skewer.

After a short while, both Carl and Blaze came together and set down on their dining table as they both placed the food they had prepared.

Carl and Blaze both barbecued meat, and just from the look, anyone can tell that Carl was very professional, but Jessica tried Blaze's first and showered him with compliments because, as compared to the first time, his technique and result improved a lot!

After that, she tried Carl's barbeque just to be surprised that his cooking was on par with Ell's, and what surprised her the most was the fact that even after using just salt and some chilies as seasoning, he surprisingly cooked moist and beautifully smoke-infused meat. Jessica complimented him while eating his offering with a delighted smile, just to see him blush while smiling.

After the barbecue, she tried the soup or stew that they created just to miss Ell's cooking because it was clear that was something they were not used to doing because of them being carnivore beasts. Since Jessica was the only one to eat because beastmen don't need to eat three meals a day, they called it a day soon.

Since it was dark outside, Jessica was all set to sleep when she saw that Carl went to the room that was just beside her's and picked up the big stone slab that was covering its mouth just to expose its opening.

Jessica slept in her room with her two fiances like usual, and Carl was in his room. Before she knew it, it was already morning, and her white tiger woke her up by licking her face just like usual. Jessica smiled and took the blazes tiger head in her embrace as she rubbed her face in his soft fur.

After freshening up and brushing her teeth with a piece of wood that was crushed to make bristles, she had her usual morning routine of some basic stretching and exercises, but the only difference was the presence of Carl. In the morning, he will always hunt and prepare breakfast for her. Seeing that she likes eating fruits, he will collect them for her. She liked gardening; he will also help her tend the gardens while having a smile stuck to his face.

But that smile disappeared the moment he saw his brother sharing his special intimate moments with his mates. He saw that Blaze would try to stick to Jessica at every chance he got, and for that, he always uses his beastform because, from the looks of it, he can tell that Jessica liked his fur, as she would burry her face in his chest, caress his head, and comb his fur. Seeing this, Carl felt sour—the emotion that he never felt even with his blood brothers—and he also wanted Jessica to look at him with the same compassion.

But he didn't try because he himself knew that it was pretty soon, and expecting her to treat him equally as her other mates is something even he wouldn't like, so he stayed put, looking at Blaze and Levi hovering around her.

Jessica knew she was being observed, and it never bothered her because she herself was doing the same, and because of this, nothing changed in her regular forest walks or her pet time with Cera and her cubs.

But something changed in Carl the very next day, as when she was done combing Blaze's fur, she saw a big golden lion walk up to her side and sit down beside her, supporting her body from his back.

Jessica looked for a while, and after not receiving any kind of response, she sighed and asked, "Should I comb your fur too?" because from her observation, she knew that Carl never asks for favour, but he will accept if she offers him anything, no matter what it is.

Carl instantly turned his lion head and rubbed it against her arm, and without any wait, Jessica started combing his fur, just seeing the big lion melt into a puddle of relief as he purred.

From that day on, Carl will try to walk up to her in his beast form to get pets on his head.

Since the days were passing, the fruits that Ell left for her started to go bad, and she saw Carl collecting them to dispose them off. She looked at the fruits because throwing away such a large quantity was a waste of both resources and Ell's hard work because she knew that he himself picked each one of them carefully, as he literally threw away many just to select one.

She picked one, and the strong alcoholic smell struck her nose. She looked at the fruits and the powdery yeast on their surfaces and recalled the moment when his grandfather used to take her and her brother to their brewery and wine units on weekends, where he would select the batches of fruit and teach them the basics of brewing.

Recalling it, she instantly got up and called for the guys as she told them that she wanted to make alcohol. All three of them instantly showed interest and were ready to receive the instruction.

Jessica told the three of them what she planned to do and divided the work as Blaze was responsible for making the containers, Levi went to pick the sugarcane, and Carl stayed with Jessica to collect the fruits that would be used. Since the fruits were completely different from earth, Jessica used some references as she collected the fruits that tasted like grapes and looked like them to make wine, while the rest were grouped individually, and their fermentation was going to be an experiment for her.

Very soon, Blaze was ready with wooden and stone containers with lids that were drawn by Jessica while Levi squeezed the sugarcane juice along with Carl, who squeezed the fruits, while Jessica was drinking the sugarcane juice happily.

Since ingredients were less and she didn't have the yeast, she took the chance because, according to her grandfather, wild fruits have natural yeast on their surface, and she just decided to believe that.

She mixed the material in different compositions in different containers to get the different alcohol content and sealed the containers airtightly with the water lock technique as she placed the dome-shaped lid on top that goes perfectly into the rim created. She poured water and sealed the lids, and the pots were placed in the deeper cave. She took a relaxing breath because that work literally took them a whole day.

That day, the three of them called off the day the fastest, and for the first time, Jessica slept with Blaze in his beast form on her right and Levi in his beast form with his head just beside her.

Since she was done with the alcohol making, which was more like gambling because she doesn't know if she will get the results even after spending so much energy on that task, since it was an activity that made her spend the day without the regret of not doing anything, she was fine. So she again went on to tour the forest, but this time Levi tagged along as he told her that he wanted to walk together with her so as to spend some time alone.

Jessica didn't refuse him because of the puppy face that he made for the first time, so they went together. For a long time, Levi enjoyed her company when she would tell her thoughts and stories in a bubbly tone or when she would put flowers in his hair, but when he saw her busy and focusing her attention on collecting the plants, he told her that he was going to sleep under the tree, and if she needed his help, she could call for him and he would come to her in a flash.

Jessica giggled and saw him lay down on the ground as his beautiful face shone beautifully under the scattered sunlight. She bent down and gave a peck on his lips and said, "Sleep well, honey~" just to see Levi blush and smile altogether because he knew after reading the novel that the term honey was used to address mates from where Jessica was.

Jessica looked at his serene face for a while and went away with her basket. She collected whatever fancy plant she found without bothering about them dying, as his fiancé can revive any plant. She happily moved further when she discovered a burrow and a small white bunny with beautiful red eyes.

Jessica, who couldn't stop her fluff love, instantly reached out to touch the kit just to see that he didn't try to run away. She sat down and decided to play with the cuties, and to her surprise, soon two more bunnies came out of the burrow, and from their size, they looked pretty young too.

Jessica was busy playing when she heard the bush at some distance rustle, and when she looked, she found a man with brown shoulder-length hair and amber eyes with a healthy tanned skin standing behind the bush and looking at her with surprise and widened eyes.

Jessica, who saw him, decided to give him a professional smile because the person in front of her was definitely a beastman too, as she could tell by the wolf-like ears on his head.

The man behind the bushes, who was stunned after seeing a goddess-like beauty in front of him, the female, whose bright violet eyes shone like the crystals,.

Earlier, when he felt the presence of a female in the dark force, he was surprised and approached her stealthily while ensuring there was no one near her, but to his surprise, the female doesn't look like someone who lost her way instead, as if she were enjoying the dangerous forest.

He instantly got surprised when he saw the female smile at him, but since this was not a repulsive response, he couldn't hold his excitement and took a step forward.
