12 Imperial rankings(3)

Yun bailan looked at Feng linli. That wench! If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have remembered 'her'. Now she's joining the imperial harem. What do I do? Ju'er Yun bailan's little maid couldn't help but cover her mouth to hide her smile. From that day when she was 7 years old, she became one of the people who admired feng xiaowei in the Capital.

Feng linli thought Yun bailan was interested in hearing about Feng xiaowei and ignored her abnormal shuddering. Feng linli spent the whole afternoon telling the ladies about how barbaric feng xiaowei was. How she beat the maids at home. How she opposed the etiquette teacher. How she did whatever she wanted and how she used her sword.

By the time Feng linli finished talking, she saw that even some of the maids were paying attention to her but what was with those shiny eyes filled with admiration. She thought they were admiring her and she smiled in satisfaction. Wu lan was now curious about Feng xiaowei so was the other ladies.

Feng linli talked until her throat was parched and she felt thirsty.

Yun bailan in her seat was still shaking violently and her back was drenched in sweat. She now hated Feng linli more than ever. If it wasn't for that wrench she would be sleeping peacefully blthis night and wouldn't have to remember that nightmare.

Since it was dark now, Feng linli bid farewell and left with her maid thinking that she had successfully made everyone loath Feng xiaowei.

Little did she know her exaggerated stories had an opposite effect on the ladies well except for Bai yulan who still dreaded feng xiaowei.

...

Meanwhile the Protagonist of Feng linli's exaggerated stories was currently snoring on her be after having a sumptuous dinner. Meng er had gone to gather information for her young miss which no one asked her to.

On the small wooden bed laid the little beauty. Instead of the elegant sleeping posture that woman of this dynasty had, Feng xiaowei slept on her stomach and her limbs were sprawled her and there. The blanket was also lying somewhere.

*thump*

A sound came from the roof. Although the sound was little, Feng xiaowei still heard it.

She opened her beautiful eyes and there was no signs of sleep in them. Her hands snaked carefully under her pillow to retrieve her red lotus sword. This was her mother's sword and her most priced possession. She quickly slipped out of the bed and put on her shoes, she then quietly sneaked outside.

On the roof, a black clothed figure crouched on the roof. He removed a tile to see if he could find a valuable treasure inside.

Today had been his lucky day and he could sneak into the Palace as a worker to steal some goods.

He looked into the room from the hole on the tile and found no valuables. Wait a second! Something was missing. Where is the figure on the bed.

*shiiiiing* he felt something cold on his neck giving him goosebumps. He turned his head around and caught sight of that mesmerising beauty but this beauty had a lethal smile on her face and her eyes seemed to have turned red from excitement.

"Wh-who are y-you?" the theif managed to ask. His hands went down to his robe to retrieve his life saving object.

"The last beauty you'll see!" Feng xiaowei raised her sword and struck down.

At that moment, the theif threw a ball of powder onto Feng xiaowei's face.

*boom*

The ball exploded leaving black smoke. 'hmm he wants to escape. How about we make this more interesting' Feng xiaowei smirked and her eyes scanned across the roof. She spotted the back robbed figure running away at fast speed.

She took a deep breath and exhaled. "Guards! Catch the theif" her loud voice brought up a commotion. The maids got up the room and the guards appeared.

"Where's the theif?" one of the guards asked. Feng xiaowei pointed at the Black robbed figure that was still jumping down from one roof to the other. The guards soon gave a chase. The little Palace maids gazed at the mesmerising figure on the roof. Feng xiaowei's clothes fluttered in the wind giving her a heroic aura. She got ready to have some fun when she saw the little maids looking at her awe struck. Feng xiaowei smiled at them. "Little beauties it's better you get back to your rooms"

Feng xiaowei quickly gave a chase. That theif was not an ordinary theif to be able to sneak into the imperial Palace and that powder ball was not simple. It was lethal poison filled with malice. That theif must be an assassin sent on a mission and he could be from the moon whale sect. Her mother's nemesis. Feng xiaowei was currently immune to poison. Even the most deadliest poison from the king snake would not be able to kill her. This was all thanks to her mother's meticulous care when she consumed the most deadliest flower at the age of two. The poison's side effect made her immune to all poison in the world. Her mother told her that her blood could cure all poison ailments in the world so she should be really careful not to spill her precious blood. Another side effect of the poison was madness and lust for blood. If feng xiaowei saw or smelt blood, she would get abnormaly excited. The worst part was that all these side effects would be transferred from her to her children in the future.

After confirming where the assassin went, she took of using her light body skill.

"Ahhhh she smiled at me" one maid screamed.

"No she smiled at did you see how heroic she is" another one chimed in.

"And that martial arts skill" another maid said.

"Yeah she is truly unique a far cry than those pretentious ladies"

"Ahh only if I was man I would woo her"

"You think you're worthy of her? Hmph only deities could match up to our fairy."

The little maids dispersed, itching to tell their friends of their rebell fairy's heroic deed of catching the theif.

....

The assassin who thought he got away was excited. But his excitement went down the drain after seeing the petite figure chasing after him.

"You're from moon whale sect aren't you?" Feng xiaowei asked.

The assassin stopped in his track. His eyes turned cold as he studied Feng xiaowei. Mesmerising face, cinnabar mole betwee her brows and that bloodthirsty smile paired with the legendary red lotus sword.

Dread!

Regret!

That's all the assassin felt after he recognised Feng xiaowei.

"You- you are lain Hong! Daughter of the legendary ming of the sun clove" the assassin started sweating. Besides lian Hong, who could be immune to his lethal poison.

Well who in the assassin 'industry' wouldn't recognise lady ming. Lady ming was a loner and she had never lost a mission making her the top ranker in the assassin ranks on top of that she was a legendary beauty and no one knew where she came from.

Lady ming had been in the assassin world ever since she was nine and when she turned 15, she suddenly disappeared from the assassin world but she still remained first as no one could match her.

Ten years later, she suddenly returned to the assassin world that to with a child. Many assassins thought she was done for since she dared make a family but little did they know that her daughter was more 'demonic' and ruthless than her.

At the young age of three, lian Hong(Feng xiaowei) started her missions of raiding the demonic sect and other evil sects. At the young age of five, she topped the ranks and surpassed her mother. At that time, she still weilded the legendary red lotus sword and she still had that unrully curly hair.

Many assassins thought her mother was helping her after all she was just a child but any of them who went after her never came back. The next day, their body would be seen lying completely intact and no one knew how she killed them without using any swords. Over the years, her style of killing changed and she became even more ruthless spewing blood here and there.

She was the only assassin beside lady ming to never cover her face. Even if they knew which family she was from, no one had the courage to confront her or touch her family.

"Since you know, get ready to die" Feng xiaowei prepared to attack.

"No wait!" the back robbed assassin changed his cocky countenance and became extremely humble. He tore the half moon necklace around his neck and broke it to pieces.

"I pledge my loyalty to you!" he bowed down to Feng xiaowei.

"_"

"Huh why... no lets fight I need to see blood!"

Feng xiaowei refused.

"No wait I can do anything" the assassin screamed. He was desperate. He couldn't die today. He hasn't enjoyed life yet. He was still young! He hasn't eaten grandma lan's[1] soup yet.

Feng xiowei put her sword down and squinted at the assassin. She could see his swollen chest eventhough he was hiding it.

Ho ho ho. He was actually a woman.

"Alright then let us discuss what you can do" Feng xiaowei sat down on the roof.

"_"

"Um right here?" the assassin asked.

"Then where? In the skies?"

The assassin looked over to his right and squinted his eyes. From afar, he could see the skilled Royal guards.

Sigh. Feng xiaowei sighed and said to him... no her, "You owe me two and I expect a grand compensation" she dashed towards the assassin and slashed her sword at her. Blood splated everywhere and onto her face making her smile in satisfaction.

The guards caught up to Feng xiowei and seeing her bloodied state, they were shocked. A woman could learn martial arts and do better than them. They should improve.

"Miss where is the theif?" one guard asked. In front of Feng xiaowei's oppressive aura and indifferent countenance, he became respectful

"He got away but I injured him and he should be lying half dead somewhere" Feng xiaowei lied.

After answering some few questions from the guards, Feng xiaowei rushed back to bai luo courtyard.

The chief guard of bai luo courtyard looked back in surprise. The lady was gone like a flash of wind.

[1] its a kind of soup that could prolong life and only the top rankers of the assassin world could drink it.
