8 "Sister"

Feng meili complained for her mother. She was the third daughter of Madame Jun and the third favourite of Old Madame.

"Xiaowei, you should be respectful and should not forget your manners. We know you miss your concubine mother but it's the rules since old times." Feng meili "adviced" Feng xiaowei. She sounded like a caring older sister who was advising her younger sister but in reality she was just telling Feng xiaowei to know her place as a concubine's daughter and emphasising the fact that Feng xiaowei didn't have any manners. Feng bohai was about to talk when Feng xiaowei smirked at him. He understood her message and kept quiet. If his darling daughter wanted to play then he would let her play.

"Xiaowei understands what older sister is saying but xiaowei is following Madame Jun's wishes" Feng xiaowei said while looking at Madame Jun.

Madame Jun shuddered when her eyes met Xiaowei's. She could still remember the beating she took from ten year old Feng xiaowei. She had asked some maids to teach Xiaowei a lesson when xiaowei was ten because she taught she was a nuisance and she was jealous of feng xiaowei's mother.

The maids she sent locked the then ten year old xiaowei in the dark shed for a day after poisoning her since they were no match for xiaowei.

Feng xiaowei spent the whole day in the shed. Just when Madame Jun thought the little girl would be scared and start respecting her, who would have thought that Feng xiaowei would come to her quarters the next day after recovering to beat her up right in front of her maids. It was a humiliation for Madame Jun and in exchange for Feng xiaowei to stop hitting her, Feng xiaowei stopped calling her mother.

To keep the secret, Madame Jun was forced to fire and threaten her trusted maids including the mama from her maternal family.

She forced a smile and answered Feng xiaowei.

"Of course if Xiaowei doesn't want to call me Mother then I have no say in this" Madame Jun tried to be smart. She was saying Feng xiaowei was being overbearing in another way. Feng bohai frowned. The misses in the hall got ready to see Feng xiaowei disgrace herself or be embarrassed.

"Oh but I clearly remember that Madame Jun agreed to let me call her so after I b-" Feng xiaowei pretended to recall.

"Of course I told xiaowei to call me that since I don't want her to feel pressured haha" Madame Jun cursed xiaowei in her head several times.

Feng bohai stifled his laugh. Of course he knew what his darling daughter was doing.

"But mother that is not right!" Feng meili continued and Madame Jun glared at her. As stupid as she was, feng meili wasn't able to read her mother's signal and took it as a sign to continue.

"That is disrespectful. If word get's out into high society, then where would be our feng mansion's face" she pretended to be worried when in reality she didn't give a sh!t about her family. She just wanted to find trouble for feng xiaowei.

"Thirteenth girl you must acknowledge her as your mother even if you she's not you wouldn't be able to call her mother anyway. Who knows if she is still alive" The old Madame chimed in. The last part was whispered but it was enough for everyone to hear.

"Mother!" Feng bohai suddenly called startling Old Madame.

"Sister why don't you just focus on managing your courtyard rather than being preoccupied . Xiaowei still recalls that older sister said she's no longer part of the family affairs and she is now a person of the Zhen mansion" Feng xiaowei was getting bored of the same tactics.

The faces of people in the great hall changed especially Feng meili's. She turned pale and then blushed. Feng xiaowei did not go easy on her. Although she's the main wife of the third young master of the Zhen household, her husband takes in new concubines almost every week and the inner courtyard is a mess. She also purposely said that she no longer cared for the feng manor's affair because she was scared her family would tell her to allow her sisters into her husband's courtyard. She dropped her gentle facade and rudely glared at Feng xiaowei.

"You shut up and know your place" she screamed at Feng xiaowei surprising People in the hall.

"Meili! Is that how you talk to your sister?" Feng bohai came to the rescue. Seeing that their father was favoring Feng xiaowei again, everyone's faces changed.

"Father you're being based again we are all your children but you favor xiaowei too much and ignore us at this rate she is going to become overbearing and that behaviour is not good in the imperial harem" Feng meili argued. At the mention of this, feng xiaowei's sister's glared at her.
