" mother I don't think this is necessary, really it's no big deal " Bethany struggled to make her mother understand " oh Bethany, my sweet heart " her mother grazed her fingers across her face in comfort " don't fret all will be set right , you'll see " the reassurance in her mother voice that dripped in magic , wouldn't convince her . she still loved him.

" mom please I really don't mind ,he didn't know !" Bethany rubbed her stomach the baby was kicking , it was like the baby could sense that she was upset .

" SHUSH! .... dear your to young to know what you feel , let Alone when REALLY offended, he will know the pain."

" mom , I understand why he left, so it doesn't hurt that much!" Bethany didn't know why it was so hard to understand, he had to leave for his family and the kingdom.

Diane, smiled .

she smiled like she knew something that Bethany didn't .

" oh dear ," she laughed" I'm not doing this just for you , this is for me ...as well. he will know the pain of a parent"

she turned to her daughter and laid her hands on her head and muttered , ancient magical words, Bethany was to scared of her mother to argue with her any more she just hope that her baby would know what to do when the time came , to do the right thing.
