4 Growing Up [EDITED]

A young boy was sitting cross legged on his bed. Taking a deep breath in and out, in a similar rhythm. He was not bothered by the darkness in his room like any normal child would have. without a doubt he wasn't normal. Little by little, the sunshine was lightening up his room.

Time passed by and finally he opened his eyes. And what a shocking sight! His pair of eyes was unique, with both eyes having totally different colors, with the right one was crimson and the left one was purple. And his face totally complimented that eyes of his. His charm was above the roof even though he was still a child. His mother was already betting that her child would totally become a ladies' man in the future.

That's Noah. It has been 4 years since his birth. He was born in July 1992. He was satisfied with his meditation for the night.

Ever since he was born, he found out that mana existed in the world, it's just that without a strong soul, one wouldn't be able to sense it. He also learnt that he had superpowers. With his mana as his tank and catalyst, he was able to control and manipulate fire and lightning. He deduced that he possessed these powers because the two destructive elements had already been carved onto his soul. The two elements had never felt closer to him as of this moment, it was as if they had become his close friends. However, without his mana he wouldn't be able to do so. As he observed this phenomenon further, he couldn't use the mana outside of his body to control the elementals. He must absorb it from the outside into his soul as the container and transform the outside mana into his own pure mana. Only with his own pure mana was he able to control both elements.

His meditation helped him in absorbing more mana and recovering his lost mana due to his training. With more mana, he would be able to expand his control over the elements, in terms of range. He could also last longer during his training. With each training, he would summon either his fire or lightning and try to form various things. For now, he was only able to form small stuff. And he could only summon only one element at a time, he needed to further improve his control and quantity of mana before being able to do so.

His body was still growing and he was still a child. Thus, he wasn't able to do any stressful exercises. But that didn't mean he wouldn't improve his body. From his experiences about human's body and muscle, he knew that the early stage of childhood was the best moment for someone to lay the foundation, especially the body's flexibility. With a flexible body, he would manage to perform a lot of strenuous stances and moves during training and fight.

Other than the invisible mana, he also managed to sense another type of energy. However, the energy was different from mana. Mana was more discreet in nature than the other energy. Sensing that energy was easier than mana. With his powerful soul and perception, he managed to see the flow of that energy in the world. Mana didn't have any sort of color but the new energy was different, it existed in orange color. He tried to absorb the new energy into his soul. However, it didn't bear any fruits of success. It was as if the new energy was incompatible with one's soul. Hence, he did something different, he directly absorbed the energy into his body rather than his soul. And boy, it was a successful attempt.

He would circulate the energy throughout his body and he could sense his body improving as a whole. He still didn't discover any more usage of the new energy. After all, he had only possessed the energy for about six months. With more time in hand, he was confident to experiment with this new energy. As this new energy was improving his body, he decided to call it as chi, some sort of inner energy fully capable of strengthening one's body.

He felt that both energies he possessed were perfect in combination. One for controlling his elements - fire and lightning - and the other one for strengthening his body.

Other than that, he also tried to discover more about this new world he was in. And he was shocked by what he found out. There was Captain America in his history book, as one of the leading figures in World War 2. He was in the Marvel universe for god's sake! It seemed like the world was more dangerous than he thought.

Then, his decision to call the new energy seemed to be the correct choice, after all he had seen Iron Fist using the same energy, and he called it chi.

"Noah, it's time for breakfast!" His mother entered his bedroom with a smile.

"I'm coming," Noah turned to his mother and flashed her a smile. He loved his mother's hand-cooked food.
