Ch. 39 - Secret Technique

Soon, a day has passed and Doflamingo has to go back to Kamar-Taj, after all, he only asked the Ancient One to let him go on a day-off so he could manage the grand opening of his Amusement Park.

"You can't go now. The Mafias are requesting a meeting and you're been ignoring their request for a whole month, if this continues then I'm afraid that they'll spark an agreement to rebel against you." When Doflamingo informed Matilda of his departure to Kamar-Taj, she refused and told him about the meeting that he is supposed to attend.

"Oh, right. But, I can't extend a day-off from the Ancient One..." Doflamingo scratched his head as he thinks for few minutes before coming up with an idea.

"I know! Set up the meeting tonight. I have an idea." Doflamingo said to her as Matilda nodded and sent messages to the phones of each Mafia Leader that is under Doflamingo's rule.

After saying that, Doflamingo said his farewells before going through the portal, and now, he's back in Kamar-Taj. He'll be spending some years here until he reached the Master level equalling to the Ancient One, though if that's impossible, then atleast A master that only the Ancient One could defeat.

"Ahhh~ Fresh air!" Doflamingo sucked the air and sighed in pleasure. Breathing a polluted air versus a fresh air always has a difference if you juxtaposed them.

Obviously, the fresh air wins. Compared to breathing a polluted air, which has a certain smell and very hard to breath, breathing a fresh air is like drinking clean water, very smooth and no hurdles such as a bad smell.

"Let's go back to training." Doflamingo portaled to the training grounds and saw that the other students are already there and chatting or training, while waiting for Mordo to arrive.

"Good morning." Mordo came walking in and behind him is a man that looks familiar to Doflamingo while the students lined up and greeted him back.

"We have a new student. Kaecilius." Mordo said as he gestured for the man behind him to step forward and introduce himself.

"I'm Kaecilius." Kaecilius didn't even bother to state his full name as his face was full of grievance and seemed to be at loss.

"Welcome back." Doflamingo, who was at the back of the line, was greeted by a familiar voice.

"Natalya, how's your training yesterday while I was gone?" Doflamingo faced her and asked.

"Not good, out of all the students here you're the only one who can handle me in battle." Natalya shook her head in disappointment as Doflamingo chuckled.

Meanwhile, the students nearby who heard her words shifted their positions in an uncomfortable manner, after all, they're the ones that fought with Natalya yesterday and hearing what she said, she's obviously hinting to them.

"Let's proceed. Today, we'll do a sparring lesson. And the one you'll be fighting...." Mordo said as he walked towards the weapon rack and grabbed a small Staff, as small as a police baton, that seems to be carved with lines that are lit in the same color as their Mystic Magic.

"You." Mordo pointed at the man in front of him and gestured him to follow him to the small arena.

Doflamingo didn't expect anything from the fight, Mordo is a master after all, and at such a young age he became a Master, which shows how talented he is when it comes to magic.

A minute later

As expected, the guy didn't last too long before he was on the ground.

"Next."

And just like that, many students came up and faces Mordo but none of them won.

Kaecilius was on the sidelines, watching. After all, he's just a newbie and he hasn't learn any fighting techniques or magic now.

"Next." Once Mordo said that, Natalya knew that it was her time, so she came to the arena and didn't pick any weapons from trh weapon rack, instead, she casted a pair of Tao Mandalas on her hands before taking a stance.

"Are you sure you won't use a weapon? Your chances of winning will be slim." Mordo reminded her and gave her one last chance to pick a weapon.

"The chance has always been slim. I might as well as use this opportunity to hone skills in magic." Natalya said as she gained a nod of approval from both Doflamingo and Mordo.

'As expected of her, always wanted to learn Magic so she could control her Chaos Magic sooner.' Doflamingo could already guess what was running inside her mind.

"Good! Hah!" Mordo nodded his head at her and surprised her with an attack towards her head.

Natalya's eyes widened in surprise. Thankfully, she managed to react in time and dodged the staff.

However, Mordo surprised her when the staff suddenly elongated and hit her on her shoulder.

*Bam!*

"Ahh!" Natalya clutched her shoulder in pain as Mordo pointed the staff at her.

"Do you yield?" Mordo asked.

"Never!" Natalya gritted her teeth and endured the pain before sending out a counter attack by using the circumference of the circle Tao Mandalas. Since the Tao Mandalas is a thin shaped circle, naturally it has the sharpness of a thin blade.

Mordo dodged all her attacks while countering his own. However, Natalya has already learned from her lesson and blocked all of his attacks using the Tao Mandalas.

This continued for a few minutes and Mordo finally decided to finish the fight by holding the staff vertically and slammed the tip of the staff on the ground.

The entire staff lits up as soon as it was about to make contact on the ground and when the both finally collided, a huge shockwave happened that pushed everyone around Mordo back, including Natalya, who was off-balance and was thrown off the field.

"You did a great job. Now, next." Mordo nodded at her performance.

Natalya sighed in frustration as she went back to her line. She really thought that she could defeat Mordo, but it looks like she was still a bit naive.

Naturally, the next opponen would be Doflamingo.

'It's time to test what I've learned here.' Doflamingo said to himself as he walked up to the arena and also didn't bother to pick a weapon like Natalya.

"You too? You might also lose like her." Mordo raised his eyebrow as he said that.

"Don't worry, my fists are enough." Doflamingo smiled calmly as he slammed both of his fist and palm together, forming a slight shockwave that could be heard by everyone.

"Suit yourself." Mordo shrugged his shoulders, however, he couldn't hide the amusement in his eyes.

"Hah!" Just like always, Mordo strikes first as that is probably is motto.

Doflamingo relied on his observation Haki to predict Mordo's next move by reading the movements of his muscle.

*Fwoosh*

Everything that Mordo threw at him was casually dodged by Doflamingo, much to Mordo's annoyance, so he decided to mock him.

"Is this who you are? A coward who only knows how to dodge all his life! Even a woman fights better than you!"

'Geez, we're not in a military.' Doflamingo rolled his eyes and decided to get on with this.

He dodged Mordo's attack for the last time before casting a fan-shaped Tao Mandalas and sliced them towards Mordo who immediately back away.

However, Doflamingo didn't gave him a time to breath, so he used another Tao Mandalas on his other hand but this time it was shaped as a circle.

*Fwoosh!*

What surprised Mordo and everyone on the training grounds was Doflamingo suddenly threw the circle shaped Tao Mandalas.

According to them, it is impossible to maintain Tao Mandalas without in contact with the physical touch of the caster.

However, to Doflamingo, this was thrown to shit as he realized that his strings are actually part of his body, is when he decided to try this out. It surprisingly work, so now he could attached the strings to his Tao Mandalas and throw them at his enemies.

He could also spin the Tao Mandalas and with it's sharpness combined with a very fast spinning, it could easily cut through steel and other hard components that couldn't be easily cut.

As the Tao Mandalas flew towards Mordo, Doflamingo casted another Tao Mandalas on his other hand and also threw them at Mordo.

Mordo, who looks like his in the disadvantage, suddenly stepped on the air and avoided the spinning Tao Mandalas.

'Oh right, he also has that boots.' Doflamingo almost face palmed himself as he decided to control the strings attached to the Tao Mandalas to change direction and followed Mordo like a homing missile.

Unfortunately for Mordo, he doesn't know this, so while he was in the air, he suddenly heard a strange spinning sound behind him and just when he's about to react, it was already too late as the Tao Mandalas has already arrived on his nape.

Luckily for him, Doflamingo managed to control the Tao Mandalas to stop spinning, so except for drawing a little blood from Mordo's nape, nothing life threatening happened to him.

"So, did I won?" Doflamingo pulled back the strings, which also caused the Tao Mandalas to dissipate into nothingness.

Mordo also got down from the air and confusingly asked Doflamingo.

"How did you do that? That's impossible, it loses contact from you, how can you still maintain it, much less control it." Mordo could feel how dangerous that move was and sighed in relief that Doflamingo wasn't an enemy of his or else he would be decapitated by now.

"It's a secret of mine." Doflamingo smiled mysteriously as he put his index finger on his lips and gestured a 'hush' sign.

Mordo sighed in disappointment but still nonetheless, he could understand Doflamingo, after all, if he also created a move that he invented, he would naturally won't pass it to others.

"You win. The training session is finished. Go back to your dorms and rest." Mordo realized that he was defeated by a student and right in front of the other students at that, so he got embarrassed and immediately dismissed the other students before leaving.

Unknown to Mordo, Doflamingo still has a secret move that he invented but haven't found a chance to test it.
