8 Chapter 8: Best friends with a salty bear and 4 mother hens

(SORRY, about the late chapter; I rewrote this chapter many times because I didn't want to give away too much, the next chapter is going to be long. I wanted to put the info and the plot in one chapter because it would just make it slightly confusing if I made two chapters)

I looked at the bear, it was moving as slow as a 5 year old riding a bike but I knew that it could still hurt me if I wasn't careful enough.

I got into a standard fighting position.

My left foot straight, with my right foot at a 45 degrees angle. Both hands at my side ready to lash out with full force.

I took a deep breath and looked at the bear which was only three feet away.

As it came only 2 feet ahead of me, I kicked it right in its right jaw with speed and force of an actual car driving at 50 miles per hour

A small shockwave spread out in the air, not wasting any time I quickly spinned around and used my left over momentum from my previous kick and with my left foot and did a reverse heel kick right to it's left jaw.

It was disoriented as it couldn't process what just happened, the force of my kicks shut down it's brain for a second; but it was still there.

So I leaned downwards and used my body as a spring board to deliver a devastating uppercut to its chin.

All this happened in a second and because it was so fast the power and damage of all three of my strike met at practically the same time. It rattled his brain by slamming it from three directions. Most of the force had been dispersed by the Bear's dense bones and tough hide. But it was still definitely enough for it to lose consciousness and have a hell of a bruise on both its cheeks.

If I put even the tiniest amount of more power into my kicks and my uppercut, mixed together; the bear's brain would have turned into meat paste.

Now I definitely do not have the control I demonstrated just now, but I didn't need to have the control necessary.

I used my brain to calculate the trajectory necessary for both of my kicks to hit the place on his face where the bear would take the least damage, I read about bear Anatomy and even though this bear is not even close to a regular bear; it should still have the same anatomy. The uppercut was just so that if by chance I had held back too much and he was still conscious.

I have no real qualms about killing, but I was trying to coexist with them, not have a war with them.

The bear slowly dropped down to the ground and I heard an imaginary KO.

The other animals gawked at what just happened.

I mean I totally understand, I just knocked out a 2 ton bear with 2 kicks and one punch.

The rest of the animals immediately grew wary of me, They bared their fangs at me and the gorilla immediately roared at me.

I walked to bear and as much they tried to stop me by trying to intimidate me, they knew they couldn't be reckless because their cubs were near.

I walked to the bear and put my hand on its head.

The thing that makes someone stay conscious is the Reticular Activating System in our brainstem. It is a strip of neurons with multiple connections to the Thalamus, Hypothalamus and Cerebral Cortex. Through it our body controls sleep cycles and its dysfunction results to states of low level of consciousness, varying from somnolence and stupor to coma. Basically it prevents us to just falling unconscious at the first sign of tiredness.

The key factor to recover from unconsciousness is to reverse the cause of the system's dysfunction.

In the case of the bear It would be blunt force trauma. Which is caused by kinetic energy running through the brain tissue. This causes the RAS to "shake" causing spontaneous inhibition of its function. That's what cause a person to be knocked out unconscious.

Only When the neurons stabilize normal function is resumed and will we regain consciousness.

(Now here comes the fictional part)

Now there is a way to make the neurons in the brain to regain their stability, that would be using my bio-electronic aura to interact with RAS and transferring pure solar energy to heal any left over trauma that was caused my kicks

In my original world, that would be absolutely impossible; maybe in a few hundred years, but actually interacting with a specific part of a brain and healing blunt force trauma with precision like that in someone's brain would be impossible. Unless you had x-ray vision,a type of super healing energy and extensive knowledge on the anatomy of the specimen.

The bear slowly stirred awake and for a few seconds it just stared at me.

I felt like it was studying me somehow, and it begrudgingly bowed its head down to me.

Now that was a real surprise, grizzly bear especially one at the very peak of its species maybe even more; are very aggressive animals. To say that they bow down to someone is to say that they are going against their instincts and nature. 95 percent of animals can't go against their instincts and the rest of the 5 percent are guaranteed to never go against their Nature.

The animals were now just comically looking at me like how the animals, when they see something shocking do on that anime One Piece.

I sat down on the ground with bear already on the ground and took out my lunch for the day.

I was already hungry after running for so long and now I know where I am going to live; so now it's time for me to eat.

Also I am so happy I raided the cooking section of the library; because even though I am not at the level of Gordon Ramsay or some people like that. I can still cook a meal that if I serve it to Gordon, he won't curse me out and yell at me saying it's raw.

Truly, that man is just brutal when he is angry with someone.

While, this isn't the best meal I have had; the only reason it isn't is because I don't have the experience moving around knowing the exact time to know when to flip, when to stop mixing and stuff. One of the most conditions to create a dish truly at the top of the world is that it's done in an exact second not a range of time.

I created a nice juicy burger with a can of a nice crisp Dr. Pepper, because this was gonna be my last cheat day that I am going to have in a while.

It was a nice pub style burger with the classic lettuce, cheese,Mayonnaise,Ketchup, and that nice beefy patty.

I had made 13 of such burgers and I laid them all on ground while taking out a small picnic blanket from my backpack.

The fragrance wafted through air and was smelled by the 5 cubs their.

They made a face of pure ecstasy and they ran charged at me, with their parents noticing too late, the peak animals rushed at me, I got ready to beat them into the ground too.

Unexpectedly the bear stopped them and made them look at me and I took that as my cue to look at the cubs that were munching at my burgers.

I looked at them and they froze like they were like naughty children that were caught by an adult doing something that was wrong. Which in a way that's what they were doing.

I made a fist and when I did that then even the bear started sweating slightly and also joined hands with his friends again.

They were going to move the moment I moved which is a bit stupid really since I am much stronger than them and faster.

I slowly moved my hands to the cubs and flicked them on their foreheads.

I did it with enough force to make it hurt. A comical red bump appeared on their head and their eyes started to water.

I cracked a smile, which turned to full out laughter.

The animals just looked lost now and they realized they were fooled by me.

The cubs just ran back behind their parents when I flicked them, I gave the parents a welcoming smile and the cubs a look welcoming smile.

I took 2 burgers and pushed the remaining 8 burgers to the cubs and their parents.

They smelled the burgers and I could see that they were a little reluctant into giving these treats to their cubs, not because they thought their was something wrong with the food, but because they wanted to eat it themselves.

I just looked in amusement and I told them that I would make them some more, they didn't hesitate anymore and just gave it to their cubs who just ate them with gusto.

If your wondering how the animals could understand English, I have a theory for that.

It's literally impossible for the current earth to nurture animals of this level. There is only one place on earth that contains animals like these.

The Savage lands
