6 Chapter 6: Moving out

1 week later:

I looked at all the kids playing around and sister Mary tending to her personal garden.

I knew it was time to move on, I had grown rather attached to sister Mary.

2 hours later

It was late at night and using my superspeed I snuck out like usual.

This time though, I ran to the red-light district.

I walked into a rather big brothel.

You should be wondering how they allowed a 9 year old to walk in. They didn't, I was about to use my superspeed to get past them

But I thought that this would be a nice way to use the man mysteries perk.

I literally walked and I smiled as I remember the loophole I made. Staring and looking at someone trying to figure out who they are is considered a type of scrying. The man of mystery's perk creates this mist that covers my body, so it's more like fog that can act as an illusion. I feel like I can even leave a mist for everyone to see around me for like a cool effect like a man with a mystery.

I walked into the strip club section

I saw girls at my ages of 9-10 years old dancing around poles naked with people actually watching it with delight.

I watched in disgust and this just looked wrong. Don't get me wrong, I have seen my fair share of brothels.

A lot of underworld deals actually occurred in places like these, however taking children and having them dance naked to people 5 times older than them just made my skin crawl.

I have seen some very gruesome things and I have done some very gruesome things. But even I have my morals, forcing children to do this shit, while they should not even know things like this exist is just disgusting

So I walked in there with my superspeed and grabbed the wallets of every single pedophile that were staring at the small girls dancing.

I took out all their cash and put their wallets back. I wore pure synthetic gloves that I grabbed from a hardware store before coming here. I don't want my fingerprints to linger on the wallets.

I counted it and it seems I just earned 750 dollars.

This was enough money for me to at least move out and last 1-2 months if I go to a cheap hotel.

I walked back to to the orphanage super speeding to the entrance, I wanted to savor the appearance of this orphanage. I may never be able to see this orphanage again but I am sure as hell going to try .

I walked in and used the man of mysteries mist and created one middle-aged man and one middle-aged women.

I had to be in ten feet of them because the man of mysteries perk wasn't supposed to work like this and it's sapping away at my stamina. An average human would die from over drafting his stamina and life-force after 5 minutes of use.

I let them head to sister Mary's office after 15 minutes she came into my room with a look of a little sadness. She told me that this couple was here to adopt me, I acted like I was a bit excited but also sad that I had to leave all my friends and sister Mary here alone.

Sister Mary took me to her office and hugged me and I could tell that she was trying to hold her tears and I was too at this point.

She told me to become someone great and I was gonna be someone great.

" Bye sister Mary, " I waved my hands acting like a little kid trying to conceal his tears with happiness.

" Don't forget about us, and come back and visit sometimes" yelled Sister Mary right back

Oh I will never forget about you guys, I walked in to the taxi and handed the man 20 bucks to send us to the nearest cheap hotel with good service.

He was a bit suprised that I was the one handing the money, but probably chalked it up to a kid who wanted to act like an adult and hand the money himself.

He was a bit talkative, but I guess everyone seems talkative when you your feeling a bit down

I knew this would happen eventually, so I got my head back in the game.

We walked in the hotel and I made my new adopted "parent" negotiate the prices. Of course making clone sour of mists is not the function of my man of mysteries perk, so I had to consciously control them to make them seem as natural as possible.

Thank god for my kryptonian brain, without it let alone 3 bodies including my own. I would have struggled to make the mist as solid as it was.

Sure my brain is very capable, but even it was not able to create the features of an average middle-aged man and women down from texture to their skins to how silky their hair is.

That's right, I said create. I was able to craft the two bodies that do not exist just from memory on how they should be like.

Anyways enough of me being narcissistic. The cost came down 70 bucks per night due to 2 adults and 1 child.

The moment I walked inside, I checked for any small surveillance camera's in the rooms. I knew that while hotels wouldn't use any of the footage if they even have any cameras. Organization like shield and Hydra will be able to hack in these types of cameras with their eyes closed.

It was a relatively medium size room and it took me a few minutes to check. I have been practicing my x- ray vision for the past week now, and I have enough control to be like binoculars. I can zoom in on anything few kilometer and I can use my xrays with pinpoint accuracy.

There was a single camera and though it wouldn't be able to see anything abnormal from me due to my man of mysteries perk.

I looked at the desktop computer and looked up any abandoned warehouses. Any and all unexplored forests out there with plenty of food water and was dangerous.

I leaned back into the chair as I found only two places that the bill.

They would be the Brazilian rain forest or Antarctica, even though currently there exist no environment on earth that could harm me. I would rather much live in the amazon rain forest.

I called up my stat screen, which I have not called up since I got my powers.

UNSEAL

I looked at the screen and noticed that the options button had been removed and 2 new buttons were there. The rank up button and the unseal button.

Suddenly an influx of information burned itself into my mind

I know definitely that the Unseal button is unsealing all my other perks and wishes . The man of mysteries perk was never sealed for some reason. It was most likely a freebie.

I wanted to unseal all of them, but I would most likely explode from the sudden influx of power.

My new Kryptonian body could probably handle all of them as long as I am inside the core of a yellow sun and I wouldn't even blink if I was next to a blue sun. But a my cells can't handle that much power yet, so I can't do exactly do that yet

But If I train diligently for the 10 years I have left before Iron man begins and unlock all of my wishes. I will be perfectly fine, I mean I would be just fine as I am right now but I like over prepare for things.

Speaking of which I can unlock one my wishes every time I rank up. This

I can rank up my stats every time they reach 90. If they can reach 100 than it will be a perfect rank up and you get a 20 percent higher power up

According to the information in my head, each time I rank up the quality of my body, mind and soul skyrockets.

This applies to the stat points as well, it's not telling me how much each stat point will be worth after I rank up.

These stat points represent my body strength, mind and soul. So I can get stat points out of nothing, I have to train and the thing I am training will slowly give me stat points in that category.

You must be wondering that then what use are the stat points other just telling me how strong I am.

You see humans when they train something, a skill, body or mind training. They only keep 30 percent of the results and lose 70 percent when they sleep.

All races have the same thing, they just lose less or they just learn more.

An example of the first thing is that Kryptonians only lose 50 percent and they retain 50 percent of the results.

An example of the second things is that if a human were to read a book that has about 500 pages. They would read about 50 pages in an hour, they would only remember 15 pages worth of words. Like sometimes they can remember something from page 10 and somethings from page 36.

If a Kryptonian, especially a scientist were to read the same book. They could read all 500 pages in an hour and even 50 percent of that is 250 pages of words that means they only have to read the book that has 500 pages twice to completely memorize it.

That is the unfair advantage that Kryptonians have on almost all the races in DC.

Once I gain a stat point to my body stats from me exercising, I will retain 100 percent of that training I did. If I gain a stat points to my mental stats I would retain all mental training I did.

Also depending on my stat points I can read a book and remember all of it. Of course you can't get dumber or smarter in a normal way. You have to be exposed to something that augments like an energy,a chemical or even some type of force in DC.

These stat points are my augmenters but because they are all natural and gained from me there will be no side effect, no conditions of me doing that.

I want to rank up right away, but I have a gut feeling that the law of equivalent exchange was going a complete ass to me in this one. So I needed to be prepared, as usual.

I pondered on all the things I would need. This rank up reminds me of Evolution

Like it's going to force evolve me like the Serum that killed me in my previous life.

This however uses my own attributes as the evolutionary agent

The thing that is bothering me is how I will get the energy needed to break through.

It says I need a greater source of energy every time I need to rank up.

It needs to be an energy that I can absorb and lots of it. I wish there was an energy, I had access to and at least have a little basic control on it. It should be something like Solar ener...

My mind blanched and I just smashed my head on the computer desk and kept on saying with how stupid I am.

I hear a ding and pulled up my status screen and saw that my wisdom turned 100 and I was eligible for a perfect rank up.

I wondered why I had a nagging feeling that I gained that 1 stat point in wisdom because I admitted I was stupid.

Alright now that, I have the issue of my rank up solved. I need some books

I grabbed my small jacket and checked out of the hotel

I didn't superspeed because I wanted to know the atmosphere difference between my New York and Mcu's New York

Turns out, I was worried about nothing; guess no matter where you go. Even in a another multiverse New York never changes.

I entered the library and entered the cooking section and wild life living section.

I knew the basics of cooking and living out in the wild, but if I am going to live in a forest for 10 years.I will not accept anything less from the best.

So I spent about 2 hours speed reading away all the cooking books and living in the wild books. They literally numbered in the thousands and I had a small headache, but now I can say that I have 2 whole sections of one of the largest libraries in New York memorized.

Seriously when I compare myself to the Superman of comics who read the entire library of Congress because Lois got a bad fever and he wanted to cure it.

I feel small, but I know that I will reach that level eventually but it's gonna be hard.

I walked out and went back to the hotel grabbed all my clothes, packing them in a cheap traveling back pack.

I walked into a small alley and I manipulated my man of mysteries perk to surround me and just make me turn invisible so no one would be able to scry me. I have said it once and I will say it again, I am so glad I made that loophole.

I also manipulated my bio-electric aura that responded to me like a third arm. It was always at the ready, almost begging to be used.

I shaped it to cover my small yet muscular figure and then I used it to enhance my steps.

So it would propel me when my feet touch the ground are about to lift up, it would push my feet up propelling me a few meters every step.

So I calculated the amount of miles and how long it would take me to reach there.

The Brazilian rain forest was a part of the Amazon rainforest and it was 3,043 miles away.

My current estimate of my speed is the speed of sound.

So that is 343 meters per second, it would take me approximately 1.3 hours to reach there.

The Brazilian rainforest is the place with the most sunlight in the amazon rainforest and it has plenty of food and water.

I got in a running position and I ran out of the alley with many people screaming as they heard a sudden sonic boom with a few windows shattering near.
