Lonely Days II

Drew packed the weapons he needed into the safety of the duffel, a set of sniper machine, and some backup plan devices.

He already had his gun in his gun pad, which hugged his belt at his back waist, He was all set for the day, he picked the duffel up and swung it above his shoulders, moved towards his car that was parked directly in front of his room and drove off.

He drove to northern Manhattan, he stopped right in front of the building the pacesetter was, avoiding security cameras, he directed his motion to the building opposite the pacesetters location, and took the lift up all the way to the top floor, he used his FBI ID to pass all necessary checkpoints, using investigation as an excuse to barge, and a claim of obstruction of justice as a charge, to threaten those who seem obstinate.

He finally got to the roof, positioned all his gadgets, he then zoomed the focus of the shot to be more precise at taking down the Pacesetter, he was going to make a move immediately the Pacesetter had singled himself from the cluster of people in his office, at the moment he was ready to pull the trigger, the fire alarm was rung in the building where the pacesetter was, immediately, the scene was disrupted.

Mac and Tori had been in the library for so long and already gone through all what they needed to for their history test, "shall we" he asked Tori, "No Mac we shan't, it seems you don't realize how implicative what I said the other day could be", "and it seems you too do not remember the time I told you that Drew doesn't mean a deal to me" he stood up and started to pack his things, "you know you want this Mac, running away from this fact isn't going to help".

"Hey, we're not talking about Drew here, he slammed his finger on the table and fixed his face so hard, "I don't even get why you're so obsessed with Drew here, if I don't care, then there's no reason why you should care", "Mac" she screamed silently.

Tori packed her books swung her hair back and left the library angrily.

Drew had been monitoring the pacesetters movement ever since he had assembled the sniper set, then unexpectedly the office was in a turmoil, then he noticed a man dressed as a guard, that had noticed him, immediately he disassembled the sniper gun set.

And as they surrounded the pacesetter, trying to leave the office, the man that had noticed him revealed what he saw to the pacesetter.

As he went back down to the street trying to track the pacesetters movement as soon as possible, he put on a cap, that had a delivery company logo on it, imitating a delivery guy, he also pulled out a notepad from his duffel bag, which will obviously mean its used to confirm a delivery, he swung both the duffel bag and the notepad as he stepped out from the elevator, walking with vast consciousness, he went past every personnel, and left the premises without even being noticed as someone who just passed earlier, he was that cautious.

As soon as the last class Drew had was over, he picked up his bag and leisurely left the school premises for the bus-stop, as he headed to the stop, he strolled unhurriedly, antithetical to what he did a day before.

At the moment that he got to the stop, he had already missed two buses, while the third was leaving, he sat on the concrete chair that was fixed at the stop, facing away from the road.

Drew crossed the busy street and merged with his car, he sat comfortably but heedfully gave rapt attention to the group that was at a distance to him, he took note of all moves and sign visually until he figured one of the group members who were supposedly the pacesetter, that looked in his direction, although he was aiming at catching a glance at Drew, which he succeeded in doing but Drew did not notice.

Immediately Drew tucked his head down to the passenger's seat and pulled out the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV from the glove compartment that was there, took a shot of him, then he matched it with the profile he had on his computer, assuring himself that it was same, he begun tracking his movement till the supposed pacesetter got into his vehicle followed by his bodyguards. The convoy simultaneously kicked off and drove in unison while Drew's drove afterward.

Mac stopped at the hospital, he always felt off when he stopped at the hospital, remembering the way Tori found out about Matthew's death.

He walked into the hospital, down to where the receptionist was, he then penned down his presence.

Afterward, he took his way up through the lift to the 3rd floor where Ville was and walked straight down as his evening routine has turned to be.

Gently he sat beside Ville, then he squeezed her left arm lightly, "Mom, I got these for you", then he played the rolling in the deep's track by Adele via CD player he just got.

"but you played it, you played it, you played it, you played it.......to the beat" as the song ended with Drew humming it, his eyes were fixed unto hers, wishing it would just slightly open, and she would call his name, but the longer he waited, the more it seem he was going to wait forever.

Drew moved stealthily, still believing that he has not been seen.

Just suddenly, the convoy was splitted as they arrived at a crossroad.

As he was following the third vehicle, which followed the road that went on, he knew that had spotted him and he was ready for what they could pull over, he cocked his pistol with a hand, while controlling the steering with the other, he placed the pistol on his right thigh and fixed his gaze at the black vehicle.

As he approached the vehicle, he was more focused and had planned what he would do in any situation.

"I really don't know how to make it up to her, I regret yelling" Mac concluded as he narrated what happened between Tori and him.

The moment he concluded, Tori entered "I'm sorry Mac, I shouldn't have done that", Mac rose his head in response to what he just heard, "Hey, Tori, I'm so sorry about earlier", he said as he moved closer to her. "Mac, it's my fault, I'm sorry", "No, you shouldn't be, I think its best if we knew what Drew is up to" Mac argued.

"At least, don't let make that decision here," Tori said. Exhaling heavily, Mac said "So, how did you get to find me here", "C'mon, you come here every day, it was so easy to find out you're going to be here"

The first gunshot was fired by the pacesetter's bodyguard which hit Drew's car at its bumper very close to the left tire, Drew controlled the car's steering so sharply that it almost hit the bakery that was in front of him, as he tried to avoid the consequent bullets.

Drew managed to short-cut the trail, so he drifted to his left at the following crossroad and drove so fast that he made sure he overtook them, the moment he jammed them at the other end of the road, he overtook them, just then did bullet began to fly in the air, both parties driving recklessly to avoid the other party's shot.

The fire-on lingered for a while until Drew managed to swiftly confuse the pacesetters so that they crashed an oncoming truck. Immediately Drew halted his vehicle, he got out of it raced his heels to where their vehicle was.
