Lonely Days I

The beauty of the morning was marked by the rays of light that glistened on the sofa.

Ena was barely awake, Mac came out from his room, ready for school, he was already dressed in a flannel shirt and a pair of beige chinos. As Mac was leaving, he poked Ena on her legs, waking her.

"You don't have to do this all the time, " she said with a crack in her voice, " You don't have to put this upon yourself, you've been only just one month out of the hospital, you don't need to take the SATs. "Actually, I need to because of a lot more reasons that you want to step out of that door right now" she read her words precise as she packed up the books from the coffee table.

"I hope you realize you're the only one taking a fifteen-minute sleep every day because of SATs", "and you say SATs as if it's some kind of ..." before she could complete her statement, Mac had walked off. "Huh" she sighed.

Ena packed her booked off the table as best-rushing as she could, and went to get prepared for school.

The class ended with the prep test as Mrs. Mane would always do since ever. Ena was at the average in the class, at the very least, that's the best she could earn, "Davis Ena, you got six correct" Mrs. Mane announced looking the sheet of paper to confirm what she had just seen" seems someone is getting ready to kick some a** at SATs" Claudio whispered mockingly to Ena in his cold broken voice.

The class was dismissed and most of them headed to the library, Ena followed the flow but all of a sudden stopped at Hugh's locker.

"Hey Hugh", "Hey Ena, it feels it's still been so long", "considering we saw a while ago", "yes it indeed still feels like such", "you've certainly missed me so much", "yes! you always come around, asking for favors, so what is it this time girl".

She looked around, to notice if anyone was watching before she concluded on saying what she had to say.

For a surety, Hugh knew what she was about to say, so he answered even before the question. "No...no...no...no, no! It's a one time thing, and I'm not willing to do it again", "Hugh, don't do this to me, you sure know I can't cope", "then I can teach you to", "that's not a good idea, I'll still fall back to average", "Hugh, I'll pay you three thousand bucks, please do help", Hugh slammed his locker and walked away.

"You can thank me later," Mac said as he walked alongside Tori, "I don't think I'll need to do that" she giggled.

"Okay, so have you heard a word from Drew since he left", "apart from the message he dropped in my phone at the hospital? No, he hasn't, and I don't think he will, he wants to deal with iirhabiun on his own", "I don't believe this is a battle Drew can fight on his own, and he's definitely not telling you everything, 'cause they can't just come after him alone, and he shouldn't just do the same, you get the pattern, right!". Mac paused on the bite he was munching, and nodded, "I think you have a point, Tori, Drew is definitely not just the FBI guy, damn! I hate to admit there's more to this", "I suppose this is more than a war Mac".

The red cursor, randomly continually picked places on the face of the computer, until it finally halted and pinned itself above an address in northern Manhattan. Drew was in a motel room where he had started to make theories and conclude facts, all about the iirhabiun and their numerous associates, he had pieces of paper all over the metal board hung to the wall, some contained mapped locations, some pictures of identified persons associated with the iirhabiun, while others which were of most, are the theories he was making facts, he used magnets to fasten the papers to the board, he precisely chose colored magnets which he would fasten the paper with, different colors assigned to different domain of papers.

The room barely had any ray of sunshine in it, a bed, that was scarcely busy, but a workplace that always had to host Drew, he was always busy jumping from one hypothesis to another, before he would even plan to strike, apparently since he got to Manhattan and found out about Стрельба one of the main associates of iirhabiun.

After school at Lucas High, Mac and Tori, disc

as they headed to the bus stop. Are you scheduled for the evening, Mac asked as they moved along, hu...hm, not really important, I can reschedule.

Okay, well then, could you follow me to see Ville, yeah...sure, why not, we should get going. As they kept talking, while they strolled, the bus heading towards the hospital where Ville was, halted at the stop, and they both raced their heels all the way to the stop, into the bus. They breathed heavily, and we're both smiling, facing each other.

Just as they got down from the bus, Mac expression changed, although, he was pretty sure that Ville was very much alive, It'd been so much better if she could stand beside him, or come home, or even prepare dinner together.

"Mac do you remember what you said to me the last time I went for checkup, you said "you'd do fine", that is definitely not what you need now, "hey man, you'll be great in there, let's go say hi to mum".

As Ena was leaving the school she thought about many other options in which struggling wasn't part of them, she bumped into Hugh. They looked at each other and went past each other's shoulder, I'll take the SAT for you, Hugh said dramatically, turning back to her, "you don't have to be so loud Hugh" she quietly responded, "but for five thousand bucks", "huh...she raised her eyelids so high in response, don't you think that's excessive", "hey and don't you think it's good we just forgot his happened", "okay, Hugh, I'll take it, but why did you change your mind, Hugh,?,", "that should remain a mystery to you", Ena nodded in affirmation and held her mouth from bursting happiness.

"Hey Mom, it's almost night, I need to go kick some Calculus now, I promise I'll be back tomorrow" he bade her a good night.
