Law and Order : Not the beginning

Mac packed up his bag and left for home since Tori had left earlier for reason she did not even know herself, maybe it was because of her conflict between Mac or that she had to prepare for Esther coming home today, but the thing is she could hide under that if she only did that today, but that had been her attitude since Tuesday.

When Mac left the block of Luca's High to have a lonely walk down to the bus-stop that day, since he's doesn't really know other people close enough to follow them to the bus stop. He had taken about forty steps before he sighted Tori afar off talking with someone at the stop, he increased his speed of movement, now almost sprinting towards her, when he was about getting to where she was, her bus came and she hopped on it, fortunately for him, he could catch up with the bus, he scrambled through the passengers and sat adjacent Tori, he could barely talk to her, and she couldn't see him since she was head bent on her phone, the bus got to where Tori would alight and Mac alighted as well. "Hey Tori" Mac called from behind, just then did she know he had been following her, she stopped, being familiar with the voice and turned around, "I was hoping you'd come around", "then why have you been avoiding me?", "I think the question should be, why haven't you been talking to the one person that could send your brother to jail? if that's it, then my response is, I only care about family", "I wouldn't ever do that to you, Tori, I am so sorry for pressing you hard to tell me whatever you told me that day, I promise you I'll never say it to anyone" he begged, "now that you've said that I'll just hope not to hear it from anyone else", "are we friends now?", "of course we've never been enemies", Mac squeezed his lips and nodded "I"ll be leaving except you say otherwise", "and I'll do the same with the same exception". Tori concluded as they parted.

"Ghaleb" Mushriq whispered in the ears of a lonely asleep child that had been in a safe abode of his parents for two weeks, although Ghaleb knew he couldn't see his parents anymore, he still craved to see them as if they could appear to him. He had slept after he ate Mezze which he would never eat in his fathers' house, but since he had no choice, he had to submit. He was slightly awake even before Mushriq came to call him for prayer, wishing the tick of time could be tock. As they both sat on their individual mat about to say their prayers to Allah, they heard gunshots all around them and all they could think of doing was to squeeze themselves into clay pots that were at the edge of the room, they were terrified and puzzled, but their parent couldn't come for them since they were also escaping from the opposite.

The Americans held up their long bold weapons and corked again, this made Ghaleb's heart to skip three beats, they walked down the mid-passage of the house and checked every room for signs of human. Speaking from the pots where they hid, Mushriq said "they'll come and go Ghaleb" the moment they got to the room where Ghaleb was, they became both afraid and terrified, that as the Americans were about to leave, Ghaleb nervously shook the pot, such that the cover fell off, and the Americans looked back into the pot, as soon as they found Ghaleb inside the pot, they pulled him out and searched all other pots in the room, hence finding Mushriq, they sat both of them down beside a pillar in the room and tied them to it, both behind each other.

One of the Americans stood by the corridor to secure the space, while the others went down the yard to hunt for more humans, as their anti-Arab union was known and feared in the village although it was not widely recognized in Morocco, it still was the thorn in their bones.

Tori entered their house, as she closed the door, it creaked behind her. She dropped the ringing keys on the wall pocket where it's used to be, then she crashed on the couch right in front of her until she made the tough decision to jump out of it. She went to the kitchen and made herself a cup of espresso coffee, adding a ton of cream, not yet satisfied, she dragged the whole pack of Graham crackers from the floating cabinet and tossed it under her left arm, she kept sipping the cup of coffee as she went to the sitting room, she turned the television channel to BBC. Before she could rest her back on the couch, she heard a knock on the door which spiked her nerves. Her mid-day coffee has always been jinked with knocks in the door. She stood up with anger in her throat, dropping what occupied her hands, she went to take the door. As she opened it she saw James and her heart skipped a beat, James noticing it said, "were you expecting someone else", "I'd rather not, not on a hot day like this, I need to be by myself, which I can't now that you're home". When James sat down, he stood up to take from the crackers with her but she revoked him, "no no, not today! not again!!" looking back at Tori in a way that's compelling James said "hey Tori", then she replied "just three", "not a single one more" they chorused.

"Have you been to Central hall since you arrived?" Tori asked James "no, where I work is quite a distance from Central Hall, I thought you knew", "yes I do, but I thought maybe you might have attended an event", "why are you concerned about that?", Tori knew a question like this would come up, so she had got ready for it already. " Basically, I want to know how to describe the interiors of Central hall so I'll be able to contrast it with its present state that's shown around, I'm writing an essay about that", "why did you think God created Larry Page, huh" he sighed and turned back to the television, ignoring her.

Today on Mac's calendar has been fixed for trouble day, since he had to go to the Store to get what the Davis' will need for the rest of the month because it has been calculated that way. With those heavy cotton bags, he crossed the road and followed the path that leads to their house.

When he got in, he went to the kitchen and dropped everything on the counter table, and took his stuff from it all, then he went to his room, as he passed in front of Ena's room, he saw someone who he'd interpreted as an SAT tutor from the way she looks, but he doubted his instinct because he was surer that Ena had taken her test. So he watched the passage from his room to know when she leaves, immediately she left, he came out to meet Ena to clear his doubt. "Hey, what's up man?" Ena greeted Mac "I'm good, how are you too?" before she could answer, he said "are you taking SAT lessons?", "Yes, Mac," she said, heads down, "I thought you have...", "Yes, I did, but...I cheated so I was caught, and I got the chance to take it again", Mac's mouth was wide open, "you didn't tell me anything, why?", " You shouldn't be bothered with my problems Mac, it's all good now, at least I got to take another shot at this". "Okay then" as Ena was leaving Mac added, "I'll always be there if you need someone to talk to, alright".

Tori kept blaming James for everything he could have caused, and threatening him, she could not hold up her anger anymore.
