20 Swords and Knights

At the time of the ancient empires, there were great blacksmiths who made powerful swords. These swords used by many emperors, kings and knights.

After years people called this swords as legendary swords.

And even before the war started, the sword masters from the ancient empires asked to blacksmiths for making swords to help them to fight against the dark emperor.

Andrew was holding the sword of the king which was made by an blacksmith who inspired by a legendary sword of the ancient empires.

Andrew,

"You shouldn't have dropped this sword Arthur!"

Arthur didn't talk.

Andrew,

"I'm talking to you!"

Arthur looked to his armor, it was damaged. He was wounded and he lost the powerful sword that he had.

That wasn't just it. Arthur was thinking that he was about to loose the battle and become a pawn of the king. He didn't want that.

Arthur was angry to nobody but himself. He shouldn't accept the duel with the Andrew. He sensed the will of Andrew to be the best. But that was too much. Andrew wasn't fighting like in a duel, he was fighting like he was in a battle.

Andrew,

"What was the words you told me just a second ago? Dragon's Fire Breath. Hahaha! You lost your mind don't you?"

Arthur shouted suddenly,

"Enough! I don't want to speak with you. Shut up! If you want me to take you down, I will you trash."

"You son of..."

There was a huge fire blast in the arena after these words. Everyone was shocked because nobody was expecting that. Even Arthur was shocked to see his magic. It was no ordinary magic, he was using fire just like the dragon.

While the tension in the arena was rising, Vanessa was talking with the king,

"What is this? What is your purpose father?"

The king,

"Can't you see the gold mine that I just found! Hahaha!"

Vanessa shouted,

"Are you mad? This going to be the worst duel in the arena. They lost themselves. Stop the duel!"

The king,

"Vanessa, as a princess of Westonia you should have known more about the history."

Vanessa,

"What do you mean with that?"

The king was going to spoke but Arthur attacked to the Andrew with his new fire magic "Dragon's Fire Breath".

Andrew used the king's sword to block it, which was a direct fire breath from Arthur to Andrew.

But Arthur changed the flow of the fire breath and hit to the Andrew.

Andrew thrown in to the air by the fire breath, his armor got a serious damage after the attack of Arthur.

Andrew spelled a magic in the air and just managed to counter attack the fire breath that Arthur spelled again.

Arthur stopped using fire breath after seeing Andrew's counter attack. He changed his location to be closer to the Andrew.

Andrew got back to the ground and started running to the Arthur. They were coming close to each other.

When they came closer, their swords started to clash. They were trying to hit each other while looking for an opening on their rival.

This was the first time Andrew was thinking that there was a possibility for him to loose. He wasn't expecting Arthur to fight like that.

While the last sunshines of the day was reaching to the Arena of Westonia. Arthur and Andrew were clashing but with a difference. Nobody was talking. Because this wasn't a duel anymore. They started to damage to arena itself.

Commander Richard were angry to see that they lost their purpose and their usage of magic just like that.

People started to leave the arena because of the flying wooden blocks in the air.

Vanessa,

"If you are not ending it, I'll end it right now."

The king,

"A long time ago, the old kingdoms discovered a new sword type. Magical swords which can collect magic to be used in the battles."

Vanessa,

"Stop this fight!"

The king looked to Vanessa and saw her determination to end this duel. He shouted,

"It is enough! Stop this fight!"

But nobody answered to him.

Barney,

"Did both of them lost?"

Aurora,

"Where are they?"

The arena was empty.

Vanessa,

"Did someone see where did they go?"

Edward,

"There was a dust cloud. I didn't see anything."

Nobody was knowing what happened in the arena.

The king,

"I was correct about him."

Vanessa,

"What do you mean?"

The king,

"Do you know the story about the three ancient swords?"

"Yes I know, they have been created for fighting against the dark emperor."

"There is more about that. One of the blacksmiths that made legendary swords, challenged a dragon one day. He showed his swords and said that the humans are capable of making powerful swords.

After these words dragon burned the sword of the blacksmith and asked, Why your swords' melt against my fire breath then blacksmith? It was clear that blacksmith wasn't able to make the most powerful sword.

But because of that blacksmiths tried to produce a sword even a dragon cannot melt. This was the challenge for them.

At the end, finally a man discovered the magical swords that is more powerful than the other swords."

The king stopped his speech and talked to the soldier near him,

"Find where they are immediately."

Soldier,

"Yes sir."

The king continued his speech,

"After the fire magic swords produced by blacksmiths against the fire breath of the dragons were ready, blacksmiths challenged the dragons again.

Some of the knights attacked to the dragons and tried to win against them.

The Dragon King was angry after that. He ordered to wise council of the dragons for making a sword that will show the strength of the dragons.

When the dragons started to make swords, they understood that using a sword is not applicable for a dragon.

But one of them took a different approach than the others which was spelling a magic, that makes a sword just with magic.

After seeing the power of the magical swords that is being made just by magic, the dragon king ordered his dragon knights for teaching this magic to humans and showing the power of the dragons to the blacksmiths.

This is all I know about him. Arthur is one of them."

Vanessa,

"You knew that and didn't speak about it."

The king,

"If he accepts to be a knight in our kingdom. We can be more powerful than anyone. I know that some of these knights fought against the dark emperor."

Aurora asked to the king,

"Aren't these knights lived a long time ago?"

The king,

"That's the question in my mind. There is something happening in the maze."

A soldier entered to the lodge asked for permission to speak,

"Sir!"

"Yes soldier."

"Sir, they are still clashing in the city."

"What?"

"Sir, and we lost their track right now."

"Is that a joke! How is that possible? Find them now."

"Yes sir!"

The king looked to Vanessa,

"What is that guy is doing?"

Vanessa shouted angrily,

"I don't know. Maybe you should answer that. You are the reason of that!"

"I'm the king!"

"I don't care father!"

Vanessa left the lodge for looking to Arthur.

There are many stories about how the ancient swords being made.

When the dragons found the magic, they showed their power and proved that they are capable of making swords.

When the blacksmiths found the magical swords, they showed that there are more powerful tools for using magic.

These two things helped the dark emperor to rise fast and destroy the empires including his own.

When the duel between Arthur and Andrew ended, Andrew managed to reach his family residence.

The knights looked for Arthur, but he wasn't in the city.

It wasn't just the king who thoughts something is happening.

Arthur was also knowing that he needs to find someone or something to learn what happened and what will happen.

There were only one source that he can learn what was happening, the Maze Dragon.

After the last fight with the dragon, Arthur understood that the Maze Dragon knew more about Arthur.

While Arthur was in the city, he prepared to travel through the Gold River but didn't mention that to anyone.

Arthur looked just one more time to the city and rode his horse through the Gold River's old castle, the place that the story started.
