10 Conqueror of the Maze

While the moon was lightening the surface of the earth, one of the greatest cities of Kingdom of Westonia, Westios was shining with all of it's beauty.

Westios was founded to the same river that Gold River city state has been founded. Westios had iron mines nearby a lot, that's why the city's economy has built as war economy.

The war of the Maze increased the need for iron in the Westonia a lot. Because of the need for the iron mine, the king restricted the trade of iron and declared Westios as his household's new property.

Westios' clans refused that and clashed with the kingdom. Clans have been beaten and vanished from Westios. Westonia annexed their new city and created a new powerful castle inside.

The king improved the city's infrastructure, called the armor masters for working in the city and requested noble people to invest and live in the city.

One of the nobles, knight of the Westonia, Vanessa Westonia was looking to the river and listening it's sound. She was sometimes playing with her blonde hairs and after that she was looking to the moon with her green eyes.

While her well designed thin white dress was being wavy with the slight wind, a man approached to her,

"Hey, Vanessa! How have you been?"

Vanessa turned back and spoke, "Is that you Barney?"

Barney spoke excitedly, "Yes, my beautiful princess."

Vanessa, "You look excited."

Barney, "When I see you that happens."

Vanessa, "I see."

There was a silence that is only being changed by the sound of the wind. But Barney started talking again,

"My lady! Marry with me."

Vanessa wasn't surprised. Because every man that she knew wanted to marry with her. But she didn't want to marry with none of them.

She talked unhappily, "Barney, you know that don't you?"

Barney, "What my lady?"

"The thing that I don't want to marry."

Barney was surprised,

"But my lady you will probably marry as your father wished. What are you telling me?"

Vanessa turned and looked to his face with a smile,

"So, I live with my sword and if there is a man that will protect this kingdom with his sword, I'll marry with him."

"It will be probably Andrew. He is a lucky guy."

Vanessa didn't speak. Just looked to the river.

A man rushed to the balcony that they were talking,

The man who was too tired, "My lady! Our enemy is on the move!"

Vanessa looked to the man and speak,

"From where?"

"From the upper river."

Vanessa spoke seriously, "Barney! Get prepared quickly. Tell the commander to be ready when I come to the castle."

"As you wish my princess."

Vanessa ordered, "Soldier, inform my warriors."

"Yes my lady!"

Everyone in the castle could feel that powerful words. These were the words of Princess of Westonia, Knight Vanessa Westonia.

Westonia was one the most powerful kingdoms in the Maze. That was due to their brave knights and rulers.

They have prepared for the battle, prepared to defend their kingdom until the end.

While a new battle was about the begin, an another one shaped quickly between a man who doesn't even know what is he doing and the conqueror of the maze.

The situation for Arthur changed quickly, bandits were taken down by the Dragon and other people ran from the Dragon with an exception, Arthur.

Arthur was staying with Edward, Edward was shouting him to leave but he was getting no respond. It was like Arthur was someone else.

Maze Dragon was flying in the sky with the circles, it was looking down with his firing eyes. Arthur was feeling the wind that Dragon's wing's flapping created.

It was just the moment for running, not for a courage or bravery. Most of the people would agree with him if Arthur had ran away.

Edward shouted to Arthur, "Arthur! Don't be an idiot! Leave me, we just met. Don't try to save me. You don't even know me."

Arthur just smiled and,

"So I was like you too."

"What? Ran!"

Then they heard a voice,

Dragon was surprised, "A human is resisting to my magnificent power and knowledge? Who is that? Who is this man?"

Arthur,

"What are you?"

Dragon, "Hahaha! I remembered that foolish sentences, thoughts and rising power."

Arthur,

"What is your purpose?"

Dragon talked with a high voice, "Hunting down the foolish bandits that stole my valuable Gold. But look what I've found here."

Edward was shocked, he wasn't believing to his eyes. The Maze Dragon was talking with a human, was answering his questions. This dragon was too powerful that the dragon doesn't even fight with the humans except the humans that stole treasury.

Arthur looked to dragon and spoke,

"Then it is time for our swords to be talked, Dragon!"

Edward,

"Are you mad? The dragon can melt your sword in a minute! Don't be an idiot!"

The dragon stopped flying and landed near Arthur. It was really strong and powerful. He wasn't wearing an armor but his skin was more powerful then an armor.

"It's been a lot of time since I've battled."

Arthur challenged the dragon not with just the words but also the actions he taken, "Are you scared? Maybe you will cry with tears."

The dragon's heat started to burn the trees near.

"Did you forget who I am Arthur? Hahaha!"

That moment Arthur froze just like Edward, he got out from his brave emotions and started to fear. When the fight with the bandits started, Arthur moved with his reflexes and instincts but now he was getting started to think.

Arthur,

"Hey, The Dragon right? Can we just go please?"

The Maze Dragon,

"What happened brave warrior? Did you forgot what you said just a moment ago?"

"I didn't say that to you. I said swords, you don't have a sword right?"

The Maze Dragon breathed with an anger after these words. The wind of the breath pushed Arthur back.

"Hey you are powerful right? We don't have to fight right? Let's make a deal."

The Maze Dragon,

"There is nothing to talk."

The Maze Dragon stopped talking. Looked to Arthur and flew again. After the dragon went away. Edward,

"What was that? Arthur did you see that? We saw the dragon talking. We are so lucky. Arthur..."

When Edward looked for Arthur, Arthur wasn't there.
