1 Chapter 3 ( Show me your true form)

" Lucifer?" she almost whispered as tears threatened to fall out of her eyes. He just stared at her without saying a word.

" Mayla! " Kash called pulling her from Lucifer's arms.

" Stay away from her, Devil" Kash threatened.

" Tell her to be careful". He said with an indifferent look and walked away. Mayla wiped her tears to prevent Kash from seeing them.

"Are you ok? " Kash asked and she nodded.

" Why is he here anyways, I hope he won't cause any trouble" she added with a disgusted look. Mayla on the other hand wasn't sure if she was excited or angry, it's been so many years, all the memories they shared flooded back, her stomach squeeze and she felt uncomfortable instantly; she then made up her mind to focus on the reason she went there.

Hosts of Angels appeared and soon filled the large room, that was white and seemed to have no door just as Kash had mentioned. Kash had suggested Mayla should wait for the elders to arrive so she and the other high ranked Angels will seat beside them as that was the rule. She stood patiently while Kash left to sit in the mist of the other Angels, soon the seven elders flew in one after the other, so did Michael and her brother Gabriel; there was a seat left and Mayla aimed and walked towards it she could see the shock on Gabriel's face as he wasn't expecting to see her at all.

" You don't deserve that seat anymore" An elder said as soon as she got to the seat and the hall went quiet.

"Maylariel, how dare you !!! I don't know why Nazarene still doesn't want to punish you for neglecting your duties, you still have the guts to appear before us?" Another elder added.

"You will seat among the other angel's" the first elder commanded and there was an uproar in the crowd, some in support and some against, this was what Mayla wanted to avoid the most- the embarrassment, she shouldn't have come in the first place. She moved quietly to a seat in the front and sat down.

"Quiet". Michael yelled and there was silence everywhere, the other Angels feared or rather respected him and anger was visible in his eyes because they were dark blue and the stars had disappeared from them, Gabriel held his hands but he shoved it off and sat down.

" We have all gathered here because our father, Nazarene asked us to, we have an important message to pass across" The first elder said.

"Firstly, Dalaila has returned from her demon slaying mission successfully" Another elder spoke and the Angels clapped, Dalaila as pompous as she has always been flew from above and landed majestically, walking to her sit she blew kisses to the angels and winked at Mayla who looked away. She never liked Dalaila, she derived pleasure in showing off because she is beautiful and she is also an Ultra Angel like Mayla. Dalaila moved to the seat next to Michael then shook off her wings before sitting and the clapping died down. Mayla watched Lucifer who sat alone at a far end away from the Angels she expected a reaction from him towards what the elder had said but he showed none, he just sat quietly and spoke no word.

"Also Ramiel, has been cast down" he added and the angels murmured. Mayla look over to Kash giving her a questioning look while she shrugged her shoulder in unawareness.

"This is why Lucifer is in our mist today, We've lost another Angel to him" he continued.

Ramiel was a good angel one of the best, he was even about to get promoted, but Why?

" He disobeyed the rules and revealed his true form and identity to a human" He added as if he heard her question, this information was hard for Mayla to take in, she couldn't believe her ears, she tried to swallow her anger, from her point of view that wasn't a good enough reason to cast him to hell.

"We called you all here to decide if we should wipe the human's memory" He continued. At this statement Mayla couldn't hold back her anger anymore so she stood up.

"You are all wrong" she shouted and everyone stared at her in shock, except Lucifer who smiled.

"You could have clipped his wings at least, we all know how painful it is and how long it takes to grow a new one, Ramiel has served diligently, he was about to be promoted too; why seek our opinion when you have already done your worst"

"That's not for us to decide" the elder shouted back.

"But you've decided already haven't you? you all did this, for once why can't there be a lesser punishment, Why does Nazarene keep doing this he did the same thing to Lucifer and now..."

" He is the devil" an angel interrupted

" He was an Angel" she screamed back

"Watch your tongue Mayla" Gabriel roared standing up from his seat, there was anger in his voice and she knew better than to provoke him.

"You should never speak that way to an elder, Mayla sit down!!!" The first elder spoke. She looked at Michael and he said nothing, she was disappointed.

"I'll take my leave" she said in a lowered tune

"Maylariel" A loud thundering voice called. Everyone in the hall quickly bowed, including Lucifer, it was the voice of Nazarene; Mayla just ignored and walked towards a possible exit and when she remembered there was none she decided to use her powers. She vanished.

She fell on her face as soon as she landed in her home. She turned and laid on her back, she felt very weak after using that much power. She couldn't get herself back, even as she ate lunch all part of her body ached so retired to her room to rest. She laid down on her back and closed her eyes, soon her mind drifted back to Lucifer, that touch of his, reminded her of all their lustful exploits, how she shook under him when there bodies touched and how his kisses made everything else unimportant. She remembered the night he had told her he was going to rebel against Nazarene and take over heaven.

"I'll make you my Queen" he said but she refused, she didn't want to betray heaven and didn't want to lose him either.

"Snap out of it Lucifer you are Nazarene's right hand angel don't turn you back on him" she pleaded in tears, but Lucifer had always been stubborn.

On the day heaven was at war she pleaded with Nazarene to forgive the n naive Lucifer and He was merciful, he promised he wouldn't destroy him instead he will be cast down to hell to stay for all eternity.

"I loved you Lucifer and Mayla has pleaded on your behalf so instead of turning you to dust I'll make you the king of hell, isn't that what you wanted? to be a king?" With that he signalled Michael to cast him down. Michael looked at Mayla in Pity, he was the only person who knew about their relationship but he had no say since the decision had already been made, he then gave a signal to his army to cast down Lucifer and his followers. After that day she was not the same anymore,she cried all the time.

Even as years past she still felt guilty for the reason that he was stuck in hell because of her or because she had not been by his side to support him when he needed her the most and when she had seen him today all those memories flashed back; Those same painful memories that made her leave heaven.

There was a bang on the door, which jolted her out of her thoughts she wiped the tears that had streamed down the side of her face and walked to the door. As soon as she opened, Kash walked in she seemed agitated.

" how are you feeling" she asked.

" Don't worry Kash am fine" she said and tried to smile.

"It was all my fault , I made you go there and....."

" I said it's ok " Mayla said and hugged her.

"That's a relief, so how did you feel when you used your power after some years?"

"Normal" she replied.

"No pain? I heard there usually is"

"No pain" she lied.

" just wait here okay? let me get something for you to eat, I've had lunch already. She said and walked into the kitchen.

Kash sat down patiently waiting for Mayla to return when she heard a loud bang in the kitchen. She rushed over to see Mayla lying unconsciously on the ground. she called out her name and shook her vigorously to no avail.

" I'll make you my queen" these words echoed in her head as she slowly regained consciousness. She opened her eyes slowly to see Gabriel sitting in a chair with his eyes closed like he was meditating he did that often when he was worried , Michael paced back and forth in the room like a hungry tiger but she couldn't find Kash anywhere.

" Where's Kash?" she asked and they both turned to her.

" You are awake" Michael said and swiftly went to seat beside her on the bed.

" Kashlea had to return to her duties in the childrens home " he said, he preferred calling her by her full name.

"How are you feeling" he asked.

" Better now that you are both here"

" How come this rascal knew about your location and am just finding out" he said pointing at Micheal

"Did you just call me a rascal, Gabriel" Michael protested. Mayla laughed, she missed their usual drama, although, Michael was her best friend he also shared an unbreakable relationship with Gabriel. Gabriel on the other hand has always been like an elder brother to her he protects her like a sister so she respects him.

" sorry brother, sorry rascal" she said and they laughed.

"Mayla" Gabriel called.

"Yes brother?".

" Can you stand for a moment I need to confirm something, we don't still know why you passed out" he added and Michael nodded in support. She rose from the bed and stood beside it.

"Show me your true form, Mayla"...
