5 Chapter Four

Aiko Pov

"Out of my way!" I yelled, making my way through the crowd, pushing random people. I heard them throw insults at me but I couldn't care less. I need to get there, fast!

Our last subject which has just ended was physical Education. And let's just say that things got super hot and messy. Okay, so here's what happened. It was Naruto and Sasuke's group was up against another group which was led by Neji and a guy named Rock Lee, and for some reason- because I wasn't really paying much attention to the match. The whole game of soccer turned into a session of roughhousing. And then Sasuke ended up breaking his arm.... or whatever I heard. I never really noticed him going to the infirmary since it was our turn to play, it ended up though.

The moment I arrived the clinic, I told the school nurse, "Shizune-san! Where's Sasuke?"

She gave me a confused look, "Sasuke? The Uchiha? He's not here Aiko." I returned the look she gave me. He's not here? Could he be in the hospital? Did Naruto use my car? It's possible though, he freely takes my car keys from my bag anytime. I took out my phone and dialed Naruto's number. I exited the room, after I bade Shizune-san goodbye.

It rang a few more times before Naruto finally picked up his phone, "Aik-"

"Naruto! Where the heck are you? What happened to Sasuke? Is he okay?!" I asked frantically, the feeling of worry continued to wash inside of me. For the first time, I panicked over that duckbutt. This is the first time I've ever heard of him getting injured, who knows? Am I over reacting?...

Naruto chuckled from the other side of the line but it sounded more audible and clearer than it should be. Then I felt a hand touch my shoulder. Instantaneously, I looked back only to see the blond with Sasuke on his back. The Uchiha looked so red, embarrassed by the fact that Naruto was giving him a piggyback  ride. The sight made me let out a small giggle. "So..Sasuke.... You and Naruto huh?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows.

Both boys looked at me in a shocked, disgusted expression before Naruto dropped Sasuke from his back, making him groan in pain. "Naruto! Baka!" He exclaimed, balling his body.

Naruto took Sasuke's arm and hung it on his shoulder. "You are really annoying Aiko." The raven haired muttered but loudly enough for me to hear. I rolled my eyes,"You can stop reminding me about that Sasuke."

Sasuke sneered but that expression soon changed into an expression of pain, grunting, "Come on, let's get to the infirmary." as he said that, the first question that came out of my mind was, "I got there first before you guys did,how come?"

Naruto chuckled lightly, "Sasuke's fan girls were chasing him, bombarding questions like," he cleared his throat and spoke again, but this time in a very high pitched voice, mocking the so called fan girls, "Sasuke-Kun! What happened? Are you alright Sasuke?" He ended as he mentioned Sasuke's name, longingly singing it.

"Hn, just take me to the infirmary." Sasuke demanded and Naruto huffed but obliged anyway. But when the two took their first step, Sasuke lost his balance and almost fell to the ground. Luckily, Naruto was there to get a hold of him. He started moaning in pain, clutching on his leg.

"I thought he only broke an arm!" I panicked, reaching to take his other arm and hung it on my shoulder. I could hear Sasuke panting rapidly. I felt so bad seeing him like this. I never saw him look so vulnerable, physically that is.

The Uchiha gritted his teeth, seething from the pain he felt. "Lee kicked my leg harder than I thought." he mumbled weakly. I couldn't help but look at him sympathetically. Without any of us saying another word, we took him to the infirmary, cautiously. Who the heck started the fight and why?

Me getting hurt is fine, well it depends. But I hate seeing my best friend like this. Sure, I'd like to laugh over it but looks so beaten up. He had a bruise in the corner of his lips, he could barely move his arm and I'm pretty sure he's got a very awful bruises on his leg.

By the time we got to the infirmary, we counted on Shizune-san to do the rest. Naruto and I decided to wait in the cafeteria for Sasuke to give us a text. As Naruto handed me a drink, I smiled at him and thanked him before taking a sip of the cold beverage.  "So what really happened?"

He tightened his lips, then answered, "Neji happened."

"Huh? Neji? What the heck?" I was puzzled at the answer. Why Neji? He's never the one to cause any trouble. And for that reason, I started doubted Naruto.

"Yeah, he was talking about Sasuke hurting you. Both of us didn't know what he meant, and after that, he just left. But Sasuke didn't drop and leave it. Instead, Sasuke kicked the ball, aiming to hit the back of Neji's head, which he surprisingly succeeded at doing. Then Lee came in saying that he won't be tolerating bullying and babbled about youth and so, then kicked Sasuke accidentally."

"I don't but it but I have to say it's amusing."

The blond sighed, slumping his back on the chair, taking a sip of his drink before saying, "I saw what I saw. Buy it or not, it's true."

"Why would Neji say that Sasuke would hurt me, anyway? Does he mean physically, mentally or what? But as if that would happen anyway." I snickered, crossing my arms.

Naruto crossed his legs, "Neji's good at predicting, you know."

"He can't simply predict the future, Naruto." I replied. Seriously? Does he really think Neji could predict the future just that? That's absurd! But why would he say something like that to Sasuke? I don't think he intends to hurt me in anyway at all. Sure, he may insult me most of the time, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean it. I annoy him a lot, that's enough reason for him to call me names.

Most of the time, he calls me a loser. And I guess it's because he's always one digit away from me. I never managed to surpass him. I've always wondered.. When it's my turn to call him a loser?

I giggled, amused at my own thoughts. As if, I'll ever get to call him one. Every single one respects him, well, I guess except for me and Naruto. Every one praises him, adores him and I hate to admit it but he's actually a good guy. He's quiet, mysterious on the outside but caring on the inside. People fear him for it, but they never really got to see the other side of Sasuke.

I felt special, being his friend, being somebody to him. I doubt he feels the same way, I'm like practically a nobody, I'm just an ordinary girl, who happens to be his best friend.

"Sasuke won't hurt me." I say confidently, giving Naruto a reassuring smile. He looked at me with soft eyes, giving me a warm smile in return, then he replied, "I know he won't."

I giggled, "He loves me too much to do that." I joked. Expecting Naruto to laugh with me, he tensed up instead but immediately changed his stance, nervously laughing and rubbing the back of his neck. I raised an eyebrow at him. "is there something wrong?"

He shook his head and proceeded to drink his beverage quietly with a frown. Was there something I said?

I decided not to push the topic further like I always do. But at the same time I was eager to know what in the world was bothering him.

Sasuke's Pov

Aiko drove us back home, but Naruto went home ahead since his parents just texted him something about checking his email. I felt bad, knowing that Aiko will be handling a burden like me. Damn! Why did I even get into a fight in the first place? If it weren't for that Hyuga, this wouldn't happen! I feel so ashamed, like my pride just got shot, and I'm asking for help from a girl!

The car was so silent that I could hear Aiko calling someone from her phone and I knew who it was that she was calling. Itachi. But sadly, there was no answer. I took a flood the place I call home. Even, it was dark, cold, it was obvious that no one was home. My parents were always out of business trips along with Naruto's and Aiko's. That's how three of us met years ago.

Flashback

It was peaceful, the place was warm and I took in a deep breath, smiling to myself. The garden was filled with flowers all over. And enjoying the view was a great way to kill time. Since my parents were in the building for a meeting with different businesses owners. I was told to wait outside and my brother left me for our cousin, Shisui.

My eyes roamed all over the place when a certain girl with grey hair and brown eyes gave me a creepy stare. I cringed at her appearance, she looked dirty, mud covering her, flowers all over her head. My mouth opened to speak but it was cut off when I felt something hard hit the back of my head. I groaned, before opening my squinting eyes wide, only to see the girl covering her mouth with shock.

"Naruto! You missed me!" She yelled to someone who I assume was behind me. I rubbed my head, feeling something gooey. Grimacing, I looked back to see a blonde with ocean blue eyes, wearing a threatened look by the time I gave him a scowl.

Naruto, huh?

"That's because he was in the way!" Naruto retorted, pointing at me accusingly.

I turned my face back to see the girl walk towards me with an apologetic smile, "On Naruto's behalf, I apologize." she says, bowing her head. I huffed, "Whatever."

"Aiko! What in the world happened to you?" Two men in suit approached her, giving her a look that says 'explain'.

So that's her name...

She was about to speak up when another man who was also blonde, walked to Naruto with a stern face, "Naruto, why are you a dirty?"

I felt awkward, sitting on a bench with parents interrogating their children. And as if on cue, my parents approached me, "I see you've met Aiko and Naruto, Sasuke."

I raised my eyebrow. So? What's with them? Then Itachi and shisui came, "Aiko's parents own this company,Sasuke and our parents, as well as Naruto's were in a meeting, planning about something for the near future." Are they gonna collaborate? My mom frown when she saw the dirt that covered me, "Sasuke, what happened?"

I pointed to Naruto who was pointing to Aiko who was pointing to Naruto as well.

End Of Flashback

I didn't even notice that my fist were clenched and I was staring at my shoes blankly until I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. Looking up, I saw Aiko giving me a sweet, genuine smile. Her eyes twinkling from the moon's light, I felt myself heat up, "Are you okay, Sasuke?"

I nodded in response, "Come on, let's get you in." She says, getting out before opening my door, placing my arm on her shoulder. "I'll be fine, Aiko." I say, grabbing my crutches.

"I know you will, but helping won't harm you eitherway."

I found it hard to actually walk with a broken arm and a bruised leg, "Where are your keys?"

I felt blood rise to my ears, "In my pocket." I replied, before she chuckled, "Are you sure you're okay, Sasuke? You don't look too well. Do you have a fever?" she asks with concern and worry in her voice. I gulped down the lump in my dry throat. When I felt her fingers reach the back pockets of my skinny jeans, slipping its easy through as I felt myself going hotter and hotter.

Before she could completely get her hand inside, I slapped her hand away, clearing my throat, saying awkwardly, "I'll get it." Her laughter boomed at my reaction, and I irritatingly took the keys out of my pocket before making our way inside. "Oh my god! You should've seen your face!"

"Shut up, Aiko." I say, as she used her foot to shut the door behind us. Her laughter didn't simmer down and it was starting to irk me. I don't know when, how or why she became like this. When we were younger  she was always so formal and demure but now, she's like the female version of Naruto, and I'm thinking her hanging out with Naruto might not have bee a good idea.

Her obnoxious titter was starting to annoy me, I looked at her right in the eyes, closing the distance between us, my arms still around her neck as she was pinned to the wall. "Will you ever shut up?"

She looked at me in fear, it was absolutely silent shy. The tension was thick and I could feel her heart pounding against my chest, but the thing is... It wasn't only her heart that was rapidly beating but mine as well.

I glowered at her, "Just take me to my room." I say which then, she obediently did as she was told. When she placed me to my bed, she left my room saying she'll be right back. I took the opportunity to change myself but then again, having a disabled body made it difficult to do so.

I sighed heavily as I gave up, my shirt hanging from my neck with the other sleeve still on. I felt my body emitting sweat due to struggling and I was panting as well. A few minutes passed as I stayed in my position. Will I be like this the whole time until Itachi comes?

I whined at the thought, groaning in exhaustion as I fell on my back. "Sasuke? What the heck happened?" Aiko suddenly came in with a tray of food in her hands. I grumbled out a few colorful words, feeling ashamed to let her see me like this.

She didn't speak furthermore, and placed the tray on the desk. The grey haired girl opened up my closet, quickly picking a casual shirt before slamming it shut again, revealing her reddened face and tightened lips, "I-uh, let's get you changed." She stammered.

Without failure, she took off my shirt, still feeling the tingling sensation from where her fingers would gently brush my skin. The whole time I looked up to her, seeing her flustered face going redder and redder. I smirked and cooed, "Awee, is Aiko blushing?"

She looked at me incredulously, "N-no!" She denied, making me roll my eyes and snicker at her, she looked away to hide her face from me.

"Hey! Don't look away! Let me see!" I teased, tilting my head to see her look at me from the corner of her eyes. Her eyelids closed as she reached over me, slipping the shirt on me without even looking at me.

"Itachi will do the rest." she said pointing out my jeans.

I couldn't help but chuckle yet I said, "Thank you Aiko."
