3 From The Past

Amy's P.O.V.,

It's been more than three years since I had a nightmare like this, but I don't know why it is now coming.

Closing my eyes, I went to sleep, hoping to get some sleep, so tomorrow I have the strength to meet those businessmen.

But this meeting is going to be something that I never hoped to have in this life.

My day started with working out and then planning a new dessert, and just like that, it also passed quickly.

When I walk outside, I can see that town is a lot livelier than usual.

I went to the bakery. Uncle Ivan called me to inform me that Country A's businessmen are coming in two hours to be ready. Sighing loudly, I told Bella to take charge of the bakery because I had always taken the lead, and she is just coming here to check only. If I were not here, then James and Bella would take over the bakery.

  I went home to get ready in a formal manner, and I just wore long black trousers and a white shirt and a black overcoat, curled my hair a little, and let loosely on my shoulder.

  I put on some makeup like eyeliner and matte red lipstick after seeing myself in the mirror, though I do look presentable saw times. It's already passed an hour.

  So I hurriedly packed my purse, went out of the home, then got into the car to drive towards the five-star hotel in our town to welcome the guests and guide them until they are here. I got there in half an hour.

I am annoyed after coming here, but I know I had already promised Uncle Ivan so I can't help it, after that, I went out of the car and gave the key and some tip to the doorman to park the car and went inside the hotel.

The hotel's name is 'Novan's.'

Under Uncle Riley and James' business, I went inside to the reception area to wait for their arrival; after waiting for nearly an hour drinking coffee, they came.

A typical wealthy businessman, huh.

We went to welcome them when I saw the crowd. I decided to stay here, so I don't get squashed in this crowd, but I couldn't see anything. Still, all I heard from the people of the group is the shriek of women.

"How handsome."

"Oh!! I love to see from near."

"Oh god, only if I have a boyfriend like him."

"I want to marry him."

I rolled my eyes and scolded them in my heart how easily they got enchanted by a handsome man looking at them. If there is no bodyguard present, they would have pounced on him.

I shook my head and waited there for this fanfare to finish.

After some welcome they start to move so I also thought and went inside the hotel to wait for them like 20 mins they came inside but even now all I can see is neatly ironed suit and polished boots and thought this much of attention then he at least be a success in the business world then he should be experienced person so after that I concluded he must be in his 30's then waited here so Uncle can call me if they need

I am tired of waiting, so thinking Uncle doesn't need me here, I thought of messaging him that I am going home when I got a call from James.

I answered before I could ask anything. He bombarded me with a question with worry evident in his words.

"Where are you? Why didn't I see you here?"

After like an age, he stopped and asked

"Amy, Are you there?"

"Yes," I said

he asked me,

"Why didn't you say anything now?"

I replied,

"If you are questioning me without giving me a chance to talk, how can I answer you."

"I am here and waiting for your call, so if you need me, then I can be there."

I said to him again

"Okay, then come here; everyone is waiting for you," James said, hanging up.

After hanging the phone I went near them, but I couldn't make out the person's face, but I felt familiar.

Shaking my head to get rid of these thoughts, I felt I am getting paranoid these days, so I directly went there, and Uncle Riley saw and came towards me.

"Where were you, child? We are all waiting for you."

"I was there sitting, so if you need me, then I can come, so I was waiting there," I said smilingly.

"Okay, come, I will introduce these people to you," Uncle Riley dragged me there, said to the man whose back was facing me.

"Mr. Chauhan here meet Ms. Amaya; she will be your guide in these days of your staying."

He turned around as I was about to shake hands with him. I froze, and my polite smile also faltered a little seeing his face, and he was also shocked; I turned pale as the past came in front of my eyes, but after a few seconds, I regained my posture; he also came from trance, so we both shook our hands.

I said, smiling politely, but if you paid a little bit of attention, you could see my eyes are cold and emotionless.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Chauhan. I will be your guide here."

He opened his mouth, and a deep voice came. "Nice to meet you too, Ms. Amaya."

He emphasized Ms. Amaya, but I didn't say anything

But he again said, smirking

"Please take care of us here."

For that, I replied

"Yes, no problem, Sir."

I don't want to call him by his name or anything, so I said Sir because James, Uncle Ivan, and Uncle Riley are all looking worriedly as they may have seen my shock, so I assured them by smiling at them.

I saw a dark glint in his eyes flashing, and the smirking, said

  "Please call me Rahul as we will be working together in the coming days."

I didn't say anything, but I saw James came in between us and said

"Why don't we go for launch? It's already late, shall we?"

After nodding, we all went to lunch. I was in last slowly, unwillingly walked for this lunch thinking coldly,

'I didn't expect that someone from them would be here, and this person is also from my past, but I never thought I would be meeting them like this. I have to make sure they will never harm people around me. I have to take some safety measures.'

We all went for lunch in one of the private rooms, and everyone started to order. Uncle Riley started to introduce Country B's dishes to them to call. Here we are not more than ten people: Uncle Ivan, Uncle Riley, James, Mr. Chauhan, his assistant, two other business people from Country A who came with Mr. Chauhan and lastly me.
