Amy's P.O.V.

"James is in the office, and Bella was here before I went to the kitchen. I guess she also went to the office in the back," I replied after not finding Bella here.

"Uncle, is there anything that you want to discuss with me?" I asked them because I know that they wanted to talk with me 

"Amy, They are from the capital here to supervise the work going on for the business conference which is going to be held in two days," Said Uncle Ivan gesturing to the other two-person who came with them, and I nodded as if greeting them.

"...Oh, Bella was saying about this in the morning," I said

"The reason we came here is that we want help from you because this time the conference will be in our town and with this our town will also attract many businesses here. 

The businessmen coming here are from all over the world, and in them, the businessmen from Country A are significant for us. 

From Bella, we got to know that you have an understanding about Country A, like their language, culture, and food, so can you be our host and take care of businessmen from Country A?" Said Uncle Ivan

I was stunned as I heard Country A for a second before regaining my posture hesitantly.

" Un..uncle Ivan you know..."

Bella and James were already out and are standing there. Bella saw Amy hesitating and went to convince her with the weapon she always uses against her father and James, her puppy eyes looking pitifully at Amy.

"Ams, please, you know this is a big thing for our town, and… our business will also grow, please ...please."

"Amy, you should think about this before deciding," said James helping Bella in convincing me

"If you don't want, we will not force you," he said again

Also, Uncle Ivan and Uncle Riley are seeing me exceptionally, and I don't know how I was already agreed to their request

Seeing them happy,

I am also happy because when I was here for shelter, these people were the ones who showed me kindness, even not knowing me clearly at that time and helping me wholeheartedly.

Not expecting anything in return is not what I want, but I will do this for them.

Bella is so happy she hugged me tightly, and James hugged us both, and both of them said thanks to me. I just brushed them off, saying, "it's okay," and I tightly hugged them back.

Uncle Ivan laughingly said, "Today dinner at my home and Amy, you should also come don't miss it and thank you, child."

"It's my duty, Uncle, to help you because I always thought like you all my family," I said

Laughing with them, I thought,

'it's been many years, and everything is past now,

it will never be going to bother me again.'

'Boy, I was wrong because of this one decision everything is going to change, and the past is going to change the future.'

At night I went to uncle Ivan's home with my freshly made blueberry cheesecake. I greeted Uncle Ivan, Uncle Riley, and Uncle Bruno, who is Uncle Ivan's Brother-in-law also saw James and Bill, Uncle Bruno's Son talking something important, they all have a business of their own, 

So nodding at them and saying to them I am going to the kitchen to see ladies.

I went to the kitchen saw Aunt Catherine Bella's Mom, Aunt Maddie James Mother,

Bella, Ava, Aunt Cath's Sister-in-law, and her Daughter Karyn were talking and preparing for dinner. I went in and greeted them.

"Hello Ladies"

"Hello Love, " Said Aunt Cath, hugged me,

"Hello, child," Aunt Maddie smiled at me,

"Hello Amy," Said Ava and Karyn, and I smiled at them as a greeting

Bella took a box of cake from my hand and went to eat that; Aunt Cath slapped her hand took a cake to put it in the Fridge

I went to help them to prepare dinner after preparing everyone sits to eat after eating

Everyone went to the lounge, talking about the conference, and then the topic changed to wedding preparation,

Aunt Ava asked me, "Amy, when are you going to get married?"

I stiffened hearing that and smiling forcefully said nothing but Bella held my hand and said to her Aunt,

  "Aunt, she is just 24, not 40 or something; there is no need to rush."

Aunt Ava smiled stiffly said,

"It's not I am saying something bad about her, just I.... was asking why she didn't even have a boyfriend until now if she wants I can introduce some boys, so you know."

Bella wanted to argue with her. I just held her hand to stop her and said to Aunt Ava,

"Aunt Ava, there is no need but thank you for your concern."

And awkward silence spread in the room then James cleared his throat and said,

"I think we should go. It's nearly midnight; we have work tomorrow."

As James and Bella got engaged, they both started to live together, and everyone was happy about them getting married because their parents are friends for decades. They hoped they would date and match, so their friendship turns into a relationship, so it's a happy occasion; I am also excited about them because they both are in love. I always wished that both should be happy and be in love forever.

I bid farewell and start walking towards my home, I have a car, but I never wanted a drive, I don't know, walking like this always brought me peace, as I was walking a car came and stopped beside me, the window rolled down, and I saw Bill,

He said, "Get in."

But refusing, I said,

"No need, my home is near so I can walk by myself" I never had that much good feeling about Bill; it's like neither I hate him nor I like him, so I always have this attitude of a stranger towards him.

Refusing him, I started walking and reached home exhausted physically and mentally and went to wash up, getting ready to sleep after getting into bed.

  I start to think about those businessmen coming for a conference from Country A and hoping that the uneasy feeling in me isn't going to be accurate and sighing went to sleep as I know that I will have a nightmare for the whole night.
