King's Older Brother

Another long path ahead before reaching the place where May Gem wanted to obtain the power of the Spirit Stone. Along her way to the demon forest, while she's on the road, she's also training her physical strength and stamina. She run for kilometers like she did back then without getting rest. She lift the sword without the power of Crimson Stone.

Her body is getting stronger in a short amount of time as she does her daily exercise and training. Her senses become sharper, she can swing the sword a lot better than before as if she can lift it twice below its original weight. Other than that, she also emits an aura that proves his physical strength which May Gem doesn't know yet.

It's been one month since May Gem left on her home. This day, May Gem acquired so many expensive items where the place she's standing in is where monsters fight each other. It's like all of them were being eaten one by one by a huge monsters.

May Gem collects all of these items and sell them when she'll be able to find another civilization. Some of these items are reacting when they are being touched. May Gem was curious what are these items.

The item she's holding is glowing. She's curious so she opened the book she bought back in the Kingdom of Vesperum to recognize what is the name of this item. Then, she found the page where it describe the item.

The Item name is Crystalux: The Crystalux is an item dropped by a monster coming from the cave. The name of this monster is Cryzalines. What they eat is a rock with crystalized substances that is commonly found in a deep underground. When that rock with crystalized substances swallowed by the Cryzaline, the crystal get's powered with magic inside their body and it will stay in their body until it runs out of light energy. When these monsters gets killed, the Crystalux will be unpowered but remained usable until it runs out of energy.

This is why Crystalux glows, it's because it is being touched by a human. Crystalux also reacts to other living creatures including monsters. And Crystalux is a very useful item to determine whether a person or a monster is dead or not.

Since Crystalux is useful item, May Gem decided to not to sell it because she thinks it might be helpful in the future when she need it the most.

For the mean time, May began her training repeatedly while heading towards her destination.

Back on Mirosolis Forest. The King, Elite Mages, Mages Unit, and other guards began their travel towards the western direction. They arrived at the Town where May happened to be there before.

All guards and people of the town were preparing their weapons as they thought that these people were a threat to this town.

The Elite Mages and the King didn't want to start a fight with them.

"We're not going to attack your town, Please put down your weapon." Water Elite Mage Clair Alian wishes to put down their weapons.

Then after that, the leader of the town appeared on their sight. This old man is the leader of the town who happened to be the acquaintance of May Gem back when she was staying in this town.

"Who are you?" The leader yelled to ask who are these people.

"We're not your enemies, we're here to pass by." Lightning Elite Mage Fulmen Diaz said.

"Pass by? Well, our town is not a place for non-residence to go pass through. You should take other route."

"Melvin…" The King intervene their talk while the other people wonder how they know each other.

"Phaulius… So it's your army after all, so what? You're going to take over our town, are you? Just because you all possess magic, that doesn't mean we have no power to fight."

"Your Highness… Do you know who is he?" Julius Mirahelios asked.

"He's my older brother Melvin Dives."

"What?! You have an older brother?" Harold Argen surprised finding out that the King has an older brother.

"Yes… and he's one of them… Failure." King Dives tells the truth about his brother.

"I see… but I can't believe… we're just learning this." Clair Alian said.

"Let's leave everyone." The King told his group to take another route other than this town as what his older brother said.

"But… Your Highness…" Julius doesn't want to.

"No… and that's an order. I'll tell you our history later." The King said.

54 years ago, it's the year when Melvin celebrated his sixteenth birthday. At the same year, it's also the year when Phaulius was born three days before Melvin turned sixteen. That time, Year 3003, 4th Month, and 3rd day. Melvin waited for several days for his magical powers to be awaken, but, after 21 days have passed, it never happened. Melvin was very frustrated knowing the fact that he became a "Failure", for that reason, he started to become desperate getting stronger with only his physical strength, however, he can't accept the fact that he doesn't have the possession of using magic. While Phaulius Dives was still a young infant, Melvin thought that it would be better if Phaulius didn't born. Melvin knows that Phaulius will certainly awaken his magical power because he was born healthy and strong, it's actually a sign that a healthy new born baby is guaranteed for their magical powers to awaken when turning sixteen years old. When Melvin was born, he was born unhealthy because his mother suffers from illness, his mother's illness was cured four years after Melvin was born.

Because Melvin wanted to become stronger, he left the Kingdom when Melvin was just 22 years old. He left without telling anybody, he escaped at the Kingdom without getting caught. Phaulius was 6 years old at a time. After Melvin disappeared without a trace, his parents become very worried. All guards, mages, and other residence of the Kingdom, were ordered to search for their son who disappeared very sudden.

The search continues for several years, until that time, when Phaulius is now a mage, he went outside the kingdom to hunt monsters. The hunting is a test given by their educator at the academy.

Phaulius Dives encounter demons during his hunting. The demons were very powerful that he couldn't beat them by himself, unfortunately, he got separated from his comrades. When those demonic creatures is about to attack Phaulius, someone has appeared out of nowhere and attacked the demon with a powerful kick. There's no magic is used when he does the attack, but it's really an unbelievably powerful kick.

That someone is someone that Phaulius know. At first Phaulius thought that if they have met before. When Phaulius asked "Melvin? Is that you?", Melvin avert his eyes answering "No, you're mistaken."

"It's me, you're little brother, Phaulius Dives!" Phaulius making him recall and recognize his face.

"Melvin…" said Phaulius.

"I said I am not Melvin!!!" Melvin exclaimed, then he run through immediately.

Phaulius was relieved that his older brother was still around. After their hunting test, he reported it to his parents. His parents are the current ruler of the Kingdom.

"Mother, Father! I've met Melvin during Hunting Test."

His parents were surprised and immediately asked where, however, Phaulius doesn't exactly know where is he currently living, but he told his parents that they have met during their hunting test.

Following years after, Phaulius and Melvin are hardly ever met each other, but Phaulius knows where Melvin is currently staying at without Melvin realizing it. He's currently staying somewhere at the Forest of Mirosolis where he built a treehouse living for many years and train to get stronger than mages.

As it goes, Phaulius keep reporting about his brother's situations to his parents.

"Your Highness, does that mean he hates you?" Elite Mage Clair Alian asked.

"I'm not certain, it's more like he hate himself. But that's that, I became King year after. Still though, I want to get along with my older brother." The King replied.
