In a town called Lievorra, lives people who gave importance to the dead, souls. It's a harmonious town with a tinge of uniqueness. Along the mere existence of humans, are the metal forged cyborgs/robots who they call the 'Crypto Sapiens'.

Because of the importance of the living dead for them, every year, the town of Lievorra conducted a month worth of celebration.

To honor the souls and the corpse of the families that passed. They would then decorate their town with live looking corpse, blood curdling designs, that is undeniably a fearsome yet breathtaking sight to be hold.

One day, as the sun rises, a man with jet black short hair that has strands that comes up to his face making it so that it covers his emerald eyes, walking down the pathway near the antique station. His well proportioned built made it possible for the over looking crowd of people to stand agape and lead the young women of Lievorra to drool.

His tan skin did not hinder his appeal, yet it added more to his looks. Wearing a nice three fourth polo and shorts that reached up below his knees.

Upon your first look, you would think that he was just a normal visitor from another town. But what makes him peculiar was, they never had a visitor, he was the first one, probably the last.

Days passed, the Lievorrans were very welcoming towards him, particularly the young orphaned girl.

The girl's guardian recently died of an unknown disease in which they didn't pry into. Due to the lack of concern.

The town then continued their celebration with him.

One afternoon, while roaming around the fully decorated town with creeps, they came across an abandoned looking warehouse which held this unavoidable stench in the air.

Beaming with curiosity, the two decided to enter the building but to their disappointments, a man on jet black suit stopped them from doing so, stating that the premises where off limits to the civilians, only those who are authorized where given the privilege to enter there.

And so they dejectedly left, Sandy the little girl, decided to introduce the existence of the crypto sapiens to him in order to make up for the missed adventure.

And so, she showed him the live bodies of moving crypto sapiens that you can also call as robots, cyborg or whatever people call it.

A week later, an issue erupted that piqued his interest.

People have seen a bunch of men in blacks digging at the towns graveyard, taking out the corpses of the loved ones of the citizens.

He started investigating, even though he was thoroughly warned not to pry.

While Sandy was showing him the memorials of the late people and current ones living in the town, he realized that the people on those pictures are the people or the same faces of the crypto sapiens that lived among them.

He then received a big blow as he found out that those people who looked a lot like the people on the museum, was long dead.

Reporting to the head quarters, revealing that he was Detective Maximus Rellus, a well known detective that pried a lot of cases. Putting a lot of people inside the cold vicious home they called prison.

The deputy chief of the headquarters warned him that, this time, it isn't a good case to mess with, for the man behind this was someone they couldn't and shouldn't cross.

Left with no choice, Maximus and Sandy discreetly investigated on their own, earning them a set of followers who they came across that had the same plan with them.

The people of the town heard of the issue and started up a rally, saying that them, making cyborgs was a disrespect for their loved ones.

As they investigated, they found a clue in which points to the daughter of the mayor whom in many ways they can see has the motive for she was a dent on the perfect blank sleet of her father.

A black sheep as they call.

The town protested and asked for the mayor to take action, publicly executing her for what they deemed vicious, unacceptable.

As they looked for stronger proofs, they came across the said warehouse that has this pungent smell from before.

Planning to sneak a peek, they soon discovered the lost body's of the recent issue, where the graveyard was dug up. Enraged by this, they threatened the person in charged of the warehouse into speaking. Which did work, he spilled that the daughter of the mayor was behind this.

Days passed, factions of people from the town was built, a faction that supported the detectives claim and a faction that still believes on Doctor Hikoku, the mayors daughter.

Many people where injured and died as the sudden purge happened, just to prove that the other faction was wrong.

Mayor Kira proposed that to end the accusations, both factions will present their proofs.

On the day of the trial, Detective was able to prove and brought enough files and proofs to support his claims, leaving he other faction at lost.

Mayor was at a daze and made a verdict that his daughter, was to be publicly executed after a week. Many people grieved and equal to this was the ones who rejoiced, for they think that they received justice.

Doctor Hikoku felt mad and hopeless, then suddenly a thought came to her, she grabbed a scalpel and pried open a crypto sapiens that she found on the basement. Only to discover a chip, a memory chip that might save her.

As she opened the file, she found proofs that she can use, hoping for this last strand of chance in life.

The day of her execution arrived in no time, with a heavy heart, she asked for them to give her a chance to present something.

She showed the content of the chip to the people and there, they started to sense that something was amiss.

As everyone where arguing, a man initiated an attack that soon followed, leaving a lot of casualities, deaths and wounded people. Starting up another purge. Detective Maximus then attacked Doctor Hikoku, amidst their fight and rumblings. She realized something.

"Everything started since you arrived, tell me Detective, why are you here?"

As if God was helping her, she then connected everything together. All the evidences, puzzle pieces, wouldn't be present if there wasn't someone who knows enough to manipulate people and not be accused for he just arrived. Then there she realized, it wasn't him being an accomplice it was him being the mastermind. The one who manipulated people's train of thoughts.

Finding no excuse, Detective laughed wryly.

"Congratulations, I never thought you would be more intelligent than your stupid family. Nothing like your damned father." He said as his eyes darkened with rage. He then confessed that he did do it. But it was all because of what people did to him.

Along with his thirst for revenge was his dream of building an empire, a more bright and intelligent human beings that could never be hindered with emotions.

He planned of pushing the Doctor as the bad guy for his revenge, in order to get back at her horrible father.

"I was born here, lived, abandoned and died. I was an orphan, left to fend for himself by those lecherous humans you call family. It was fine, but then I got sick, and was deemed having no chance. Your father was once my light. He said he will help me, but no, he ruined me. Killed me. What you feel now is not even an ounce of what I felt under his hands. Under those greedy filthy hands that raised you. He had this perfect dream of improving human intelligence, but he was a fool. He couldn't even finish it. After I was forced to endure such inhumane actions, he succeeded into creating his first cyborg. He created something but with this creation, he ruined a human being. Ruined me." Detective laughed madly as he pulled his hair in frustration and stared back at Hikoku with loath.

"I-I didn't know, I am sorry"

….

"PATHETIC! It was fine that he made me like this, but he abandoned me when he got what he wanted, he got more of his cyborg, improved those fucked up pretend humans. And left me. Then I was left with no choice, I ran away, raised myself in a different town, got a job and planned my revenge.

But in order to extract my revenge, I mustn't fail, I started planting things under your name, to make you more fragrant to accuse. And I thank you for being gullible. To achieve success I must be the hero. In order to build an empire, I must have corpses, weapons to use and pieces to manipulate. You people helped me. And I give credit to you. And to finish everything, I need you dead, I want everyone in this fucking town dead. And lets start from you." He pointed a knife on Mayor Kira, asking him to choose. Him being alive or his daughter's salvation. As Crypto sapiens held the doctor and put a gun on her nape.

"Your child, or your life? Choose!"

"S-save m-me, I saved you once, you should-" a sound of a knife slicing through flesh was heard as the Mayor felt pain on his chest.

"Still so selfish" a shot was heard and Doctor Hikoku dropped dead.

Maximus expected him to cry but he laughed.

"You just killed her, *scoffs* y-you just did me a favor. Now you're no better, your slut of a mother was too stupid, thinking I will be fooled! Hah! And she hid you from me! I still remember how you cried and protected her, your little sister. Pity that you have to lose a bit of your memory. Surprised? Yes Maximus Rellus Jin you killed your twin sister, Hikuko Jin. My wife should thank me, for reuniting her children. Sadly your bastard father died before you could hold him. The experiment was a failure, perished before he could even glimpse at his children." Mayor Kira insanely laughed as he spat curses after curses, looking as if he had gone mad.

Maximus stood there still, as he realized that he failed. Ever since he had feared failures, but now. Everything seems so dim. His eyes went dull as he grabbed the bloodied knife he used to kill his sister and madly stabbed the Mayor, his eyes were clouded by the unknown trails of warm water that he had forgotten.

Ah, it was tears.

Scoffs.

As he calmed himself, he felt no greed, anger nor pain. Looking up to the dark sky, white things soon fell from the sky in which he realized was snow. He was then buried into it but the snow turned red as it was soaked with the pool of blood.

Looking around him, he remembered his sister. Too pure, yet grazed by his filth.

Picking up the knife he used to kill them, he stabbed himself straight to the memory chip that was implanted to him, the one that could kill any living crypto sapiens.

Ending the war that they started. For he was a coward. Too scared to admit that he failed. That he is nothing but a failure.
